I was totally taken by surprise at this restaurant. Several review were really good and I couldn't wait to try it. I was with a date and was actually embarrassed at my choosing.
Much to my surprise, it's at a house, and not a very nice one) and we were seated outside. That sounds great except "outside" was on a slight grade and I had to situate my chair as to not roll downhill. Our table had not umbrella and it started to sprinkle rain. Fortunately it was very light. We walked up a hill, in the yard to get to the dining area. If you go, wear shoes you can climb in. The foo was on+
ly OK. The entrees were over-priced. Inside was so noisy that a conversation would be impossible.
Such a disappointment.
Everything was really good. I had the salmon that was marinated in blueberry something and it was great . My friend and our time choosing between pastas
We arrived at Bite, taking the driveway past planting beds and patio seating on the lawn, along with a great crowd, on a hot, humid, evening, to the parking lot. Our group of six were seated at a large booth in the eclectic restaurant that was formerly a ranch house on the outskirts of Milford. It was part farmhouse, part country, rustic, homey, and very loud. The place was hopping and there appeared to be just two servers... One for inside guests and one for outside. While friendly, our server was so busy with other guests (taking drink orders, food orders, delivering orders), that we waited for more than 40 minutes for him to find time to take our order. That would have received a "no return" plan from the group, had it not been for the delicious appetizers, entrees and desserts! It's funny what you'll tolerate for fresh ingredients and expert preparation. The pulled pork, grilled fish, pasta dishes, salads and sides were fantastic, as were the freshly prepared donuts and blueberry bread pudding. Do yourself a favor... Grab a cooler (it's BYOB) and good friends and head to Bite... Be prepared to sit back, relax and have some of the best food around.
Mother’s Day dinner! Food was great ! Tried the alligator. Very good ! Pasta was awesome!
Food was “ok”. From previous reviews we were expecting a much better experience. Service was very good.
This was our second time going. We had a 6:30 reservation and we were not seated until 7pm. We had a party of 6 including two 78 year olds that were not comfortable standing and waiting for so long, but there were not options for them. The server after seating us apologized and tried to make up for the timing by bringing out our food more quickly. So, we had our salads and within 5 minutes our meals came. There was no room on the table for everything so we did not finish our salads. The food was good, the server was very nice but I think we may not choose to go again until there is outdoor seating, or have fewer people.
Great food and service.
Bite never disappoints! We have eaten here for the last three years when we are in the area for an event and our group grows every year as more friends hear the rave reviews from the others.
With a large group we order a number of appetizers, desserts, and so many entrees, that we get a wide sampling of everything on the menu as well as the specials. Every single thing is fresh, well executed, with unusual twists in the condiments and sides that bring even a simple piece of salmon or dish of pasta to the next level. The flavors are amazing and complimentary without being contrived. Every ingredient is fresh and flavorful, with the staff being able to tell you the location and name of the farmer who grew most of them. The food is cooked perfectly and plated in an appealing but not too trendy manor, unlike so many other so called farm-to-table, Pinterest obsessed places we find in Chicago. This authentic good food. You will not be disappointed.
Excellent! On business travel, came back for dinner #2, back to back.
Pasta is amazing. BYOB.
Continues to be awesome. Well prepared. Great appetizer plates. Curry was awesome but everyone in my group raved about their food. Service was quick and attentive.
Bite is a hidden gem of a restaurant in Milford. The service is spot on and they are serving up some of the best food in Cincinnati. The prices are very reasonable for what you get and there is no corkage fee for the wine you bring. I love that they source locally so everything is fresh. Have loved everything from there. This is a culinary experience.
Bite is our “go-to” place for dinner. The food is consistent, fresh and ALWAYS delicious. The service is always good. I️ honestly don’t know how they do it as it is always so busy. Of course the BYOB makes it affordable and allows you to drink what you want and like. LOVE this place so much.
the service was great. the food was yummy and there was no wait with our reservation.
the only thing that needs improving is a more visible sign.
One of the best meals I’ve had in years. Blackened chicken pasta was perfect and so were the sugar donuts with blackberry Syrah sauce.
Best food around! If you are looking for an exceptional meal in or around Cincinnati, DO NOT miss Bite. Be sure to get a reservation! The food is amazing! Been there several times, and every time we go, we say we are going to make this a weekly date. You won't be disappointed.
We always enjoy the food. Would love to see a liquor license, though!
I picked bite for my Date Night with my husband, and the food and service were exceptional. This is a Bring Your Own Booze restaurant, so you can bring your own favorite wine too, which is really nice.
We’ve been to Bite numerous times, and every other time the food has been outstanding. This time was different. My red snapper was over cooked and very dry. When the server asked how I liked the fish, I told her that. Instead of offering to replace it, she said she would pass that along to the kitchen. For $23, I expected it to be replaced. Someone else had the steak special and asked for it rare. It showed up medium rare, at best. The manager asked him how it was, and he got pretty much the same response. I’m hoping this was just a bad night for them, but we were so disappointed that 2 of our 4 meals weren’t worth the price and nothing was really offered to remedy that, and if we experience this again, it will be our last visit - specials are way to pricey to justify a second bad meal!
This is one of the best secrets in Cincinnati. The food and service is always consistent. We have NEVER had anything but incredible food at Bite!
All four of us enjoyed our first visit to Bite. The service was great, all of our entrees were delicious, and everything was reasonably priced. I'm glad we made a reservation ahead of time because every seat was taken at dinner time on a Wednesday! I'm looking forward to my next meal at Bite.
Food was great! And the restaurant is BYOB, which allowed us to enjoy great wine and beer that we brought with us, so it was less expensive! And the servers were really nice. We had a larger group, and the restaurant was small, so we were sandwiched in while waiting for the group before us to get up. Overall though, that was a small inconvenience, in an otherwise good dinner.
Great food every time we have been here. Only issue is it’s very noisy.
We had family in town for my daughters wedding and wanted to get everyone together for dinner. Bite is one of our favorite local restaurants, and knew everyone would enjoy it as well.
Enjoyed the blue berry salmon, cooked to perfection. Bite has large selection of gluten free choices. Others enjoyed a great vegan meal. Highly recommend.
My husband's tilapia was cooked to perfection. And the cheesy grits are amazing. However, I ordered my hamburger medium and it came out well done and dry. Again, did I state that the cheesy grits are amazing!
Girls' nite out at Bite! Had fabulous food and service.
First time there -fabulous and great service! The food was delicious. There were four of us and everyone loved their meal. We also had dessert, well two of us, and it was great. Our son works at Bite and they’ve been great with working around his baseball commitment. The ambience is friendly and warm. We will be back!
Great food, great service. Don't let the outside appearance (a barely remodeled ranch house) throw you. Bite is all about the food!
Excellent food and service. The only thing that will make me think twice about returning is the extremely high noise level. We felt like we were screaming at each other across the table - even our server was straining to hear our order. We were in the back room - maybe the front room has different acoustics.
Bite continues to impress me. This food is delicious! It is a great value.
We thoroughly enjoyed the food and BYOB. We could talk and hear each other.
We went on a Valentine date. The food was great and we loved that we could bring in our own growler of beer! This could be an incredible spot with a little TLC. Christmas wreaths still up and a hodge podge of decor made the ambiance less than cozy or inviting. Overall it was a lovely dinner.
Never a bad meal! One of my favorite places to eat!
A great new find in Milford. Cannot believe it was our first visit. It will not be our last.
Reservations were made 3 weeks in advance and confirmed via phone call. Asked for booth. Arrived on time but had a 20 minute wait. Also, reminded host of request for booth but was given a table in spite of the fact that 2 booths were available while we were dining.
Delicious food and amazing service!!
We always enjoy the different specials they offer and the great service!
I am always looking for a unique restaurant experience. After reading good reviews about the menu, we took family members visiting for the holidays. We were pleased with our food, enjoyed the friendly staff, and felt we had been invited to eat with friends in their home. Bite is definitely a place to return to again and again.
Had family in town from Florida and tonight at Bite did not disappoint. We all loved it.
