Bisuteki Tokyo Japanese Steak House - Marriott Hotel Cambridge
Good food entertaining and great price . Service slow even though restaurant quiet
When we arrived there was no one to seat us, we waited 10 mins with other people who said they were waiting around 15 mins before we got there. I then had to walk into the dining area to find someone to check us in and seat us. The food was just ok. Overall, it was better than fast food, but nothing to write home about.
Food had too much oil and soy sauce. Could have been lighter
Excellent restaurant, and food was delicious. Will definitely go back again.... 🙂
The saki selection was very, very, poor. Only two options, hot or cold.
It's one of my favorite restaurants! I've been going there for years and the the food is always consistently good!
Hibachi food was VERY good. Service was fine but not very friendly and our particular hibachi chef had no personality and didn't care to entertain us at all -- he just cooked. That was underwhelming since we went here for a fun birthday celebration. Thankfully the food made up for the service.
Delicious as always, the service was quick the cook was really great
The food was a little more mildly seasoned compared to similar teppanyaki places, but the chef was very skilled and enjoyable.
A most enjoyable afternoon and excellent meal. We would recommend Bisuteki to all our family and friends who visit from out of state.
A nice family place to go and kids love it too! Staff is good I've read some reviews about the staff but I have yet to experience any of those things. Overall good food and a good time.
Good times, good food, good service. Scorpion bowl should’ve been bigger 🙃
We had 25 people and everything went smoothly. They were very helpful and everyone had a great time.
Great time, great service! Definitely returning!
Go at least once/year. Kids love it and the food is great.
I really had a wonderful time as did my guests. My major complaint is that I made a reservation for 7:00 and being that I had my 94 year old mother in law with me, expected to be seated at 7:00. We had to wait 20-25 minutes to be seated. Once we were seated, it was a wonderful experience!
We had a great hibachi chef and the sushi was also delicious. Filet mignon also excellent.
They continue to make dining here a true pleasure. The chefs entertain and cook dinner to perfection. This location actually outshines any in the Greater Boston area.
The food was fine. We ordered off the regular menu and did not sit at one of the hibachi tables. Still, the smell from the cooking tables was overwhelming. We were just staying at the hotel in the same building and ate there for the convenience. I would not go back again. Both the hotel and the restaurant were mediocre.
Not a bad place, but not great either. They are "okay". Chef looked bored and didnt want to put on a show.
Yearly tradition to go for free (with ID) birthday dinner and it's always a great meal and time. Yum.
I really enjoyed the food, ambiance, & atmosphere!
The food is always good if you are a fan of hibachi. Unfortunately, the service was a little lacking as I had to literally chase after servers to come bring us more alcohol after our first drink order. Even with the first drink order, I had to repeatedly remind the server to bring us one of the beers that we had ordered, which it took 4 times asking the question to bring the beer. Other than this, the rest of our visit was great as usual.
I used to be huge fan, but unfortunately quality has gone down hill.
The cook wasn't in the mood at all. Curiously, rice was the last thing he served. When I got rice on my plate the lobster had been there for 20minutes. The only have a couple sauces and they are not tasty. Soup is also a down.
It was a great venue for a family gathering to celebrate my nephews 14th birthday.
Boyfriends birthday, it was our first time going to a restaurant like this and it was an amazing experience. Next time it will be nice to go with a big group.
Great night. Food was delicious. Staff was very professional
If you want to be entertained, go for it. The food I would pass...bland and I can totally do better at another restaurant and myself. Good portions so didn’t go home hungry, just unsatisfied.
It was a lot of fun!
It was ok. I have experienced better at other Japanese restaurants
Place is definitely dated. We went later on a Friday night and the servers seemed worn out. There were not a lot of other customers in the restaurant at the time and had to wait a long while for drinks. Our chef was really good though. Enjoyable, but could use a facelift.
Bisuteki was a perfect place to celebrate a birthday. We love sitting at the hibachi table where your food is cooked in front of you. The chefs are excellent! Our dinner was so delicious and their cocktails are creative and excellent.
Eating at Bisuteki is not just having a meal, it’s an enjoyable experience!!
The food here was great! Overall, the staff, food, and service was above average.
Good food. Show ok. Poor service.
Food was great, the chef was wonderful. The servers were unkind though. Still a great experience.
Excellent menu. Choice of quiet booth or entertaining hibachi table. Maki, sushi, teriyaki, variety of appetizers. Wait staff is attentive, but not intrusive.
Will definitely visit again. I brought my daughter here for her birthday along a party of 13. Food was awesome, staff was friendly and they were eager to store her cake until after dinner. Great atmosphere for sure!
Made a reservation for 6.30 pm, was only seated at 7 pm. Asked the staff why it was taking so long to seat us. His answer was, everyone here is waiting, you have to wait. And I asked, what is the point of making a reservation if I have to wait? His answer was, the table before you is not done. I cannot chase them away until they leave.
Back to my original question, what's the point of making a reservation then??????
Secondly, the restaurant name is a misnomer. Nothing about it is Japanese, except for the few sushi items on the menu. It is not a steakhouse either, it is a Teppanyaki restaurant. None of the chefs seem to be Japanese, they sounded like they are from China. Not even the staff looked Japanese. Never mind about that, the food was cooked with the same soy sauce throughout. Meat, seafood, veggies, were all fried with the same sauce. I think I can do a better job cooking... Only the fried rice was good.
I wouldn't return.
