They were very adaptive to my seafood allergy and cooked my food in the back, although my chicken was inedible because it was so over cooked. And my meal came out last out of everyone’s.
Always excellent food! Consistent!
We were a party of 12 that were there to celebrate my fathers birthday. We had reservations and were sat on time. You would think a party of 12 would be there for 2 hours. Nope not us in and out in an hour. We felt rushed from the minute we sat down. The waitress even had the audacity to ask us to leave after we paid our $400 bill so the party of 26 that were waiting can be seated. We have been coming to bisuteki for years but after tonight we will never visit again.
Went on New Years Eve for dinner. Atmosphere was energetic & the Hibachi chef was very entertaining! Met some folks from NH. Had an all out awesome time!
Great place. Go every NYE with kids. They love the show.
The food is amazing. They made me amd my boyfriend feel so welcome in there.
Teppanyaki cooking isn't new on the Japanese restaurant scene, but this iteration seemed especially tired. The facility is OK, but the restaurant staff, especially tableside chef and wait staff, seem disinterested and very low energy. The food is pricey; quality is not equivalent to cost. Sauces that accompanied our meals seem to have changed since earlier visits; now both sauces taste very similar and seem like they came out of a jar. There is no longer a seasoned butter served with the white rice that comes with the meal, and, instead, there is an upsell to "fried rice" for a surcharge.
The food is good, and watching the chef's cook makes it even more exciting!
Hibachi grill is very entertaining to watch. But I don't like the food. It's greasy and everything is in teriyaki sauce or soy sauce, there is no variety there. The environment is fair, very loud with the grill on, hard to have a conversation during cooking.
This long standing Cambridge restaurant has waxed and waned in quality over the years. This visit was a wane. Service poorly attentive, but food was good as always.
It was great. Thank you
Not good with food allergies - had to tell them exactly what I could and could not eat and to cook the food in the back and not with other people's food. Unable to use birthday meal on my dinner with my husband ordered a lunch special even though it was my birthday.
I've been to many Teppan-Yaki style restaurants and this one is definitely on the lower end when it comes to quality. They asked me how I wanted my filet mignon cooked. I asked for medium rare and they serve it to me well done regardless. The chef dropped his spatula and fork while twirling them. This was underwhelming.
A free birthday dinner tradition! A must for those that celebrate birthdays.
Was brought to the table right away but did not get even water until i requested it, 15 minutes in... then another 15 mins passed I had to ask if I was going to get served? Then after another 10-15 mins the waitress finally took my order. The cook was cooking with angry face the entire time. Food was good as always but service made me embaressed to his girlfriend!
A little disappointed in our chef we had the other night. He wasn't very lively and didnt give us the usual hibachi experience. The food was cooked perfectly and very delicious!
Food here is always so good, it's my go to after a long week and literally dream of it all day. Classic hibachi.... I always get the chicken and filet, 3 shrimp come with every meal so no need to order those!
Insider tip; TIP YOUR CHEF! The tip on your bill is for your server, in my opinion the chef is just as deserving, I always make sure they are handed a $20.
So much fun! Good food
Really enjoyed this event with family. Everything wonderful. I have 2 suggestions: 1 please notify the customers of the MSG in the food since I did not sleep that night. I forgot about it being in Chinese food.
#2 We had a birthday and the gong is too loud to use for singing happy birthday. It is really unpleasant Please do not use it or use a much gentler, softer gong.
The food was fresh and carefully prepared by a master Chef. A bit of entertainment and humor added into the open hibachi table grill with squirts of rice wine and sauces. All in good taste.
Great experience as always...my wife's favorite dining spot.
one goes for the spectacular and fun chefs at grill but the accompanying service is hurried and the food is average, the soup tasteless. haven't been for years and before it became a marriot restaurant...and still a place for birthdays for children and business meetings with few options near hotel which my guests said is quite nice
It was my birthday, the waitress took forever, my friends & I waited 30mins for to go boxes. Then I got charged for my meal, when my meal was supposed to be free since it was my birthday. Then my friends got over charged.
our server was not too organized in providing water as well as timely drinks to all
We took our daugher and her roommates for dinner. The food was very good and came quick. The pricing is very reasonable for Boston. Would certainly go again.
We went for my sons birthday because we always go to Kobe in Maine. Thinking it would be the same or nicer wee booked for 9 people. The ambience was dingy , awkwardly quiet and strangely bright. The hibachi cook was talented and the staff very friendly but the food was horrible and overpriced. Over $300 and couldn't wait to leave. So wished I had picked somewhere else. I hear Fire and Ice is good.
We had a nice time, and the food was great, thank you!
Service was very slow & our waitress was treating us like we were an inconvenience. We were sat at the sushi bar even though we made a reservation ahead of time & requested a table. They told us they didn't have any tables available. After multiple waitstaff kept storing their dirty dishes on the counter where we sat, soup was dumped out of a bowl on a pile of dirty dishes, wetting our sleeves. We then requested to move as we saw booths had freed up. The sushi was flavorless, the temperature of the fish was off & rolls were messily assembled. Overall would not recommend this place as the food didn't make up for the lacking service.
Food was outstanding as always. Always a good time never a dull moment. Love the chefs
Was in town visiting from Florida. Was looking for a Benihana, which is a national hibachi chain but couldn't find one. Found this place online instead and things were great. My date and I both had a great time and we will definitely be back.
We had a 7:30 reservation and we were not seated until 8:30. We got to the table and ordered our drinks which we did not receive until about 30 minutes later after asking where they were twice. The food was excellent, but the service is terrible.
Food was very good and chef was great. We did have to wait 20 minutes at an unattended bar ( The bar tender was helping a couple to their car). It was unfortunate no one else could serve us a drink!
Experiences may vary depending on which chef you have for the table. Another chef at the next table seemed very entertaining. Servers came by several times to take away the dishes even if people are still working on their plates.
Chef was pleasant and nice and did all he could with child we had who was nervous of the fire food was good and up to par and service was good but could be more attentive, seemed short staffed as we waited
With two people in my party with severe dietary restrictions, the chef did a masterful job making EVERYONE'S food delicious and in line with the restrictions. Wonderfully sized portions. Everything was wonderful.
Chaotic in the entrance. Had to wait over five minutes before anyone greeted me. Food was decent and hibachi chef eager to entertain. Wish he would have asked if I wanted sauce on my salmon before adding it.
Overall everything was good. However, we had some issues with the host/ bartender. She was very rude and not accommodating. We had a reservation and our whole party hadn't yet arrived so the host refused to seat us. We decided to wait at the bar and order some drinks and apps but then she told us our table was ready and we can order at the table. After saying we can be seated, she then acted like she didn't want to seat us and continued asking questions about when the rest of the party would arrive. We were fine waiting at the bar but she's the one who told us the table was ready then tried to take it back. It made us feel unwanted especially since the restaurant had lots of open tables and since we made a reservation.
We come here for family occasions, because the food is reliably good and there is something for everyone. Seating is great for conversations across the hibachi table or with your neighbor. And service is pretty quick, with some cooking entertainment, especially for the younger ones. A good option for people on low-carb diets, too.
AMAZING - I came here when visiting my college undergraduate brother, and I couldn't recommend it more.
the food was good but the chef did not put on much
of a show like others I have been to
