We usually have a very good time and meet new people, this time we met a very nice couple and really enjoyed the chefs cooking skills and tricks. It's a bit pricey, but the food is always so fresh and tasty. If you go with a party of less than eight, you will probably be eating with people you don't know.
Had a reservation at 7:00 pm it's 8:20 and still haven't been seat two parties came after us including a party of 2 adults and 2 children that came at 7:50 and they were sat when I ask the hostess she said it's because they are 4 and not 5 like us therefore they get the seating although there's not that much difference and they will not hold seating for any one even with a reservatioN if they can seat them right away! One star is too much !
This review does not include the cooks.They are the only great thing at this place.Everyone that works there just says"Uh huh,uh huh,uh huh"before you can even finish your sentence.Last time I went here it was my Mother who set it up.When she made the reservation for nine people,she wasn't told there is only room for eight.They couldn't of cared less.Even looked at us like we were crazy because we chose to leave instead of making one of us sit alone at another table.Like we were being demanding for asking if we could figure something out.This time,some of the same behavior that we now expect from Bisuteki.Obviously seating is limited,which is why you have to sit with strangers.My problem is with the complete disregard for our comfort.When I requested to move tables,I was told they couldn't accommodate.They proceeded to explain how it works at a Japanese restaurant.I informed them that I was aware of how it works because I have been there before.I just figured since we're a family of five,maybe we can be seated at a nearby table that had only two people(a woman and child)instead of the table we were at,which had three grown men.Needless to say,it couldn't happen.I would have understood if it was extremely busy or maybe they were waiting for reservations.But no,they waited for people to walk in so that they could fill the table.Which by the way,ended up having an empty seat anyway.So I made reservations for a Mothers day dinner and payed almost $300.00 to be completely aggravated and uncomfortable with horrible service.GREED,GREED,and more GREED
This is your typical "chef cooks for a group in front of you, with plenty of flames and showmanship" type place. But, it's in hotel restaurant you're likely to run across before or after a flight, and you can walk back to your room... so enjoy some drinks with it, and don't let the flames scare you.
Food is cooked as you like it, right in front of you. How fancy the cooking show is will depend on the chef, of course, but it's a lot of fun.
There's nothing wrong with the food we had, but it's also all food that can be cooked within a few minutes right in front of guests. This isn't fancy prep or long form cooking. It's entertainment cooking... and you might even learn some techniques for quick food at home. ;)
I made a reservation via OpenTable. The host made us wait an extra 35 minutes because they were too busy. The waitress did not put in my only side dish orders (garlic noodles). When I mentioned it to table chef, they brought it out at same time as dessert. AND STILL CHARGED ME. Would not go back.
This is a very good quality restaurant. If you have a party of less than 8, you will probably be dining with people you do not know. Most of the time we talk with other's at the table, but sometimes people just keep to themselves. This dining experience was a good one with very friendly people at the table, we really enjoyed ourselves. The food is always delicious and the chef was very entertaining. I love how they cook right in front of you.
Horrible!! Food had the taste of butane!! When the chef lot the onion volcano butane was everywhere . Wanted to have a nice birthday dinner with my family .. My birthday was 2 days before the day we ate at the restaurant. The manager was so rude ,his name was Hung, said that it had to be exactly on the day.. when I explained we had been before for another birthday that had fallen a week before he said " no that never happened " unbelievable!!!
We almost always have a good time and great food. I love how the chefs interact and entertain at the table, it is fun for everyone. You sometimes have to eat with people you don't know, so if you are not social it can be awkward. I never leave this restaurant hungry, we almost always have some leftovers. I like that the ice cream is included as part of the meal.
Bisuteki is a good Japanese Hibachi style steak house. It can be a bit cozy and noisy, but the food is very good and relatively healthy with a good balance of seafood and beef/chicken options. The Hibachi meals offer a full meal from soup, salad through main meal to desert. The chefs are entertaining and I use this as a solid go to when the group I'm with is interested in a Japanese Steak House on the North Shore.
Very disappointed it was my birthday my reservation was for 7:00pm didn't sit until almost 7:40 and didn't get until almost 9:30 had 3 kids with that they were hungry because we plan to have dinner at 7:00 . The waitress Mess up my order just a disaster on my birthday :-(
The food is very good, it's one of my favorite restaurants. There drinks are great, can't go wrong with the Mai Tai's soo good. The cooks are usually very entertaining and the saki is good and they'll give you a good squirt into your mouth for as long as you can do it lol. Usually always meet other nice/funny people at your table.
The food was fresh and very good. The other people at the table were rude and made dinner very uncomfortable. If you are going to eat there, you're better off bringing a group of 6 or 7 so you don't have to eat with rude people. Usually the other people we sit with are friendly, but every so often you run into unfriendly people.
Food was mediocre. The service was adequate but not upbeat and very friendly. Edges of cooking tables are rusty looking. Tables ate too close together and you get awfully close to chefs cooking at tables. My chef didn't put on gteat show. He just did the volcano; nothing else. No extra things for kids menu.
I went to celebrate my birthday and our group of six had a fantastic time. The food and service were excellent. We all had the steak and lobster with a few drinks. They later came out with a slice of delicious cheese cake and sang happy birthday. It's great of you go with a group. I wouldn't exactly call it a place to get "romantic" because you have to share the table and families do go with their kids so I strongly advise you gather your own group and go.
Bisuteki is my families favorite restaurant for all our celebration . The food is amazing, the cooks are a lot of fun and the kids love it there. My personal favorite is the Filet Mignon and Shrimp. I love, love, love the ginger butter with rice and their ginger salad dressing is out of this world. I always end my meal with the coconut ice cream. Can't wait to go back. Check it out you'll love it.
