It's a great spot for a quiet lunch with no rushing and there's plenty of parking, whereas most of Tarrytown is metered parking.
Excellent on all fronts as usual. Very cognizant of social distancing.
Restaurant was clised -should not have been able to make reservation
Holiday Lunch
My salmon was very good but my husband wasn’t happy with his steak. The ambience was boring. No music, lights were bright, I know it’s in a hotel but it doesn’t have to feel that way.
We were there for Valentine. Their menu was great. Many excellent choices but the service was very slow. Maybe that was good, we didn’t feel rushed.
One of my favorite places for lunch. Friendly, pleasant atmosphere. Good food.
We were one of only three parties in the restaurant for lunch but it took a while for the food to come out. Everything was delicious but it would have been nice if it were a little faster.
Service was very good. Food was disappointing this time.
Food was exellent. We had the lamb chops and the steak. Both were cooked perfectly and had a very nice presentation. Service was mostly on point and was not intrusive. One thing that was puzzling was that the room of about 25 tables only had 4 tables working; the rest were empty. For a nice venue with really good food, good service, and average prices it made no sense.
Always a good time as it is quiet enough to talk with friends. Excellent food and service. And don't hesitate to ask for the bar menu should you wish for a lighter dinner.
As always, food was delicious!
Food was embarrassingly poor. Bone-in Rib Eye steak was pre-sliced and concealed a layer of fat. Steak fries were overdone bordering on burnt. Whipped vegetable was sour, as though pickled. Only dessert was good, my guess is that it wasn’t prepared onsite.
Always good food and service. Priced very reasonably. We keep coming back.
Terrific service, and food. Place could use some updating but everything else was terrific
Beautiful setting, with a crackling real fire in the fireplace. Overall, a lovely evening. The prix fixe menu offered varied selections for my group. My dinner was delicious - salads great. Branzino was especially good with healthy and flavorful sides. Surf and turf had the hanger steak with a bit too much charcoal; shrimp were very good. Duck was well prepared but sauce a bit too sweet. Great selection of wines at a surprisingly good prices per bottle. Really enjoyed the Pouilly Fuisse at $42, a hard wine to find and at this price.
The wait staff was enthusiastic, however seemed inexperienced.
Food was mediocre. Menu very limited. Long wait for food but waitress did apologize and offered us two free drinks.
Unhurried and delicious. Try the Poached Shrimp over greens.
Very satisfied with food and service , nothing to add
Always dependable. Great service. Delicious food.
Warrants a return by all of us and soon.
We have dined here many times. This time was a disappointment. The food seemed overcooked, the Brussels sprouts were mush. While not crowded there was only one waiter, therefore our Waters were not refilled, nor were utensils replaced after appetizers. The menu which is generally varied seemed truncated.
It was a wonderful place to meet old friends. The restaurant was quiet and we could hear each other speaking. Food was surprisingly good.
Food was excellent. Service slow. I was not in a rush but I did need the caffeine. Overall the restaurant was excellent.
The food is great, and reasonably price. They are always very accommodating.
The food was excellent as usual. The service could have been better. However, it was restaurant week. Waited a Long time for the food. Thought we we forgotten.
Excellent!!
The bar activity was boisterous and interfered with the diners experience.
Service was FAIR.
The bread is awful, reheated and stale cheese roll.
The new chef, however, created exceptional creative and delicious food.
Salad with duck confit was copious and delicious.
The scallops with Brussels sprouts and butternut squash purée was outstanding.
The Black Forest creme brûlée was beyond our wildest expectations. Unbelievably fabulous.
We’d stopped coming here bc after many delicious meals there’d been a change in chef - for the worse and we were sorely disappointed. Not this time. I believe the chef is new. What a pleasant surprise. We took a chance as it was restaurant week. So glad to say that we will happily return.
It is a great low key place to meet a friend for lunch. Simple menu is well executed. The Autumn Salad was delicious.
Service was quick . The food was good and the place had a nice feel. It offered a menu and buffet .
The food was pricey for the portion. The ambiance was fair.
There was a convention or meeting that walked past the restaurant a few times, the were loud and disruptive.
I don’t think I will go back.
The wings that we were eating tasted old and the grilled cheese we ordered did not have melted cheese. The bar tender John was excellent t!
First time here. On our way from upstate and it was an open table eatery. Drinks took a long time to get to us. The waiters need better training but ours was very polite. Very reasonable prices and the lamb chops and shank were very good. The polenta was perfect and the salmon was served with a crispy skin which is excellent.
It's inside the hotel and easy to get to. Plenty of parking and we will return again when we are in the area
We ordered a Caesar salad to split for starters. It was a major fail & we thought it would be a bad omen for the meal. It had practically no dressing. When the waiter asked how it was we asked for more dressing and wondered where the shaved cheese was. It turns out that disc on top of the salad which looked like a wafer was cheese flavored. It tasted like Cheetos. Ugh.
But we definitely enjoyed the main meal. My husband loved his lamb shank and my salmon was cooked to perfection. And it had all vegetables, a plus since I am trying to cut down on carbs.
Service was very good. We were there on the early side so not a lot of people having dinner, so nice and quiet.
Being in a hotel it is a little on the pricey side.
Always consistent. A quiet spot for business or pleasure for lunch or for dinner. Service is pleasantly given without hovering or rushing you. Food is varied, delicious and well plated. I enjoyed the poached shrimp salad. Good portion. Did have to ask for additional dressing but everyone’s taste varies. Prices reasonable. Great location. Easy on and easy off the Thruway or Route 9. Plenty of nearby parking including handicapped. Covered walkway to mid-lot.
Unfortunately, when my husband and I showed up to enjoy our Anniversary dinner on 9/29, the restaurant was closed despite us being able to make a reservation on open table.
I went to this restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday.
As we entered we passed the bar where there was a group of people at the bar that was talking loud, but after a few minutes quieted down.
The atmosphere was quiet, the decor was nice and it was not overcrowded. The host, Francisco, took our orders and shortly thereafter we got a complimentary small plate with two types of hummus and tapenade along with a choice of small breads.
We ordered for entrée rib eye with the bone in and lamb chops. We paired the entrées with a Segura Viudas rosé cava. the entrées were well presented with some vegetables on the side and the cava was excellent.
We enjoyed the dinner and the service was very good.
We have been at this restaurant previous times and the food, place and service are very good.
We highly recommend this place.
Good food and service. Menu has changed since I was there last and the grilled octopus was a disappointment. Sea bass was good but not great. My wife had rack of lamb which she enjoyed very much but was disappointed with grilled romaine as an appetizer.
Delicious food as always. Excellent friendly staff.
Food waste great as always. We were not rushed. We all had a great time.
Father’s Day “Barbecue” not as advertised. Outside patio was not completed and hamburgers etc...pre-prepared buffet style and not at all good. Shrimp cocktail rubbery, salads not freshly and overall food very disappointing.
The staff and the hostess only bright spot, as service attentive. Overcharged child as an adult “by accident”. However, the hostess apologetic and kind, she seemed to know things not up to par...a keeper, as she was the only thing right about the restaurant for this Father’s day.
Hard to recommend or return. Used to to much better, even with Groupon years ago. So that much more disappointing paying full price!
