We have a private lot for parking along with a large well-lit public lot adjacent to the restaurant.
Banquet Facilities: bistro VG has three private banquet rooms. The large room can seat up to 60 persons. The smaller rooms can seat 30. There is no room charge; however, there are required deposits to secure a private room reservation and limited menus for groups over 16.

The food at Bistro VG is delicious and the atmosphere is inviting. We had 7 ladies dining, so food and drinks were slow to arrive. I highly recommend the Octopus small plate and the Salmon entree.

I've been to Bistro VG several times before and I've always enjoyed my dinner. However, something has changed. First, we were given the table closest to the hostess, so we could barely hear each other over the constant customers coming in. Second, we ordered a nice white wine that was barely chilled and I should have known then that something was off. My trout was bland, the carrots like undercooked rocks, and the dessert (that was really pushed on us) was really dry. My husband's meal wasn't much better. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll come back again. Just too many negatives. This used to be a really great, quiet and romantic, restaurant with terrific food. But, like I said, something's changed. People in shorts and keds sneakers has lost the dressy romantic feel. What happened to a dress code?? Just a bad vibe for us.

...we have been going to the restaurant for over 20 years - one of our favorite places. However recently we notice a change in menu, several dishes are just not exactly how they been for a long time. Good example is the roasted chicken dish (our old time favorite), eliminating the onion / mushroom combo on mash potato just simply changed the dish entirely, and frankly, not good. Several of our friends noticed same and are not too happy about the changes too. Would strongly suggest for the new management to reconsider the changes and go back to what worked really well. The service, as always, was excellent.

Excellent restaurant. Service was outstanding, our waiter, Jason, was kind, patient, funny and experienced. Although I eat a plant-based diet, and have a wheat allergy, I din't have a hard time finding things on the menu. They even had a flourless chocolate torte that was sinfully delicious. Sides were excellent, not just your usual boring sides and their soup of the day was a vegan creamy broccoli which was very tasty and proof that broccoli soup doesn't need cheese and cream to be good. Will be back for sure.

VG’a has long been a favorite of ours, but last night was a definite change from previous dining experiences. The restaurant was busy (holiday weekend & on the heels of many recent high school graduations), but the staff didn’t seem able to keep pace. Service was terribly slow and we had to correct them on our order twice. We noticed the menu options have seemed to have dwindled a bit and the portions appeared to us to be smaller as well, while the price points were still $$. Finally, their once amazing beignets instead of lightly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside had been fried to the consistency of hockey pucks... so disappointing,

I understand that ownership changed last Fall and maybe they are still working things out. I am hopeful they will will get back to the level of quality and service VG has been known for so many years. Until then, we will likely choose from one of the many other fine dining establishments Roswell has to offer.

I have eaten at VG Bistro many times over the years (even when it was Van Gogh's). However, they missed the mark both on service and food. We had to ask for our waiter after sitting unacknowledged and unattended for over 15 minutes after being seated. Once we had our server, service did get better and she was friendly and attentive. The food portions were good, not too much or too little. We had the goat cheese ravioli which we enjoyed and a charcuterie plate that was good. I had Short Ribs which were bland and dry along with the spicy mac and cheese which had good flavor but dry. My wife had the Salmon and she liked it. My adult daughter had the Margarita Pizza which was okay but nothing special. All in all a very average meal. It was a Saturday night and was not exceptionally busy which is generally a sign that food and service have declined. Hopefully they will straighten things out.

We went there to celebrate my mother's birthday and the place was perfect. It was a cool place with great food and amazing service. I mentioned when making reservations that it was her birthday and boy did they make her feel special from the very moment we moment we walked in the door. I would recommend a trip to Bistro VG, when you are looking for nice place that also gives you a quiet enough environment to have conversation.

Had Mothers Day dinner here. We were seated at 7:30pm and as of 9:30pm had not receive our dinner yet. Our server was friendly and apologetic but enough is enough. They did give us doggie bag of or dinner to go and did not charge us for it which was nice. We have eaten here before and will again but they seemed overwhelmed on Mothers Day.

The restaurant is lovely and the food was very good. It is such a shame that the service and execution was so poor. We had a reservation on Mother's Day for 8 people via Open Table. I did not get contacted to confirm my reservation (they texted my land line apparently) and so we were seated outside on the patio after a ten minute discussion of what to do with us. We had a six o'clock reservation and the food took over 2 hours to be served (not our delay). They were out of menu items but didn't tell us, service was slow, food took forever to come out, we could not get water/refills on drinks and then they added items to our bill - too many glasses of wine, wine we did not drink. Our server was very nice and she tried hard, but they were very clearly overwhelmed and unprepared for a full house. But the food is great, so it may just be a special occasion issue.

VG Bistro is our favorite neighborhood restaurant and we’ve been going there for many years (back when it was Van Gogh’s.) The staff and kitchen seemed a bit overwhelmed by Mother’s Day but it wasn’t terrible or anything - just not up to their usual level of polish. No worries - we will be back soon!

family Mother's Day Celebration, had reservations and finally got seated about 35 minutes after our scheduled reservation time. Said they were running a "little" behind, and I would say 35 minutes is a lot behind. No Valet, which would have been nice considering some in our party were not able to walk far. Had to park long ways off. The lobby area couldn't handle the waiting period either, crammed in. Waiter was great and his service excellent! Food was good however 2 people in our party had poached eggs in their dish and both eggs were overcooked and didn't make into a "sauce" as a poached egg should in Eggs Benedict. No comps on anything considering our long wait and our displeasure with overcooked eggs, kinda sad! However, nice caramels in little gift box for all the Mother's. Hit the mark in a few places but overall, disappointing for the price of our lunch and the occasion.

Mother’s Day Brunch: 45 Minutes past reservations to get seated.
One hour to get food after order.
Food arrived and was not fresh, tasted like it had been under a heat lamp for a long time. The manager offered free dessert, which is nice but did not compensate paying $180 for a brunch that hardly anyone ate because it was so bad.
Very disappointed as this restaurant had never disappointed prior to today.

Very disappointing. I have been to this restaurant many times and has always been very good. I don’t know what happened on Mother’s Day. Had to wait 30 min for our table. Waiter did not take our drink order for almost another 30 min. By the time we got our food, we had been there 2 hours. I ordered the lamb. It was way over cooked and very dried out. Waited again after asking for our check. It absolutely ruined the day for me. Forget going there for their Brunch. It is only a few times a year, but best not done at all.

this is our anniversary spot - and we try to keep it to ourselves - but took some neighbors this time - and it was great. Our server was awesome - we've actually had him several times in the past and love him - his experience with the various wines is invaluable. Food was great - only thing was we all ordered the wedge salad - and it was disappointing - very bitter and just odd tasting - actually had a fishy taste - though I don't recall fish as being listed as an ingredient - nobody in our party liked it. Rest of the meal was spectacular, as usual - and the wine list was awesome. We will be back, most definitely.

Sometimes you find a place that provides more than "food" but that touches your senses and VG does that. Our meal Sat Night was one we will remember and share over and over. The interior would make Joanna Gaines proud. Tasteful, relaxing, and modern in its own way with rustic metal, wooden chandeliers as well as glass, and furnishings that said "come in and relax..we will take care of you". And the staff!!!...well...you always hope you will get staff like Ben and David when you go to a fine restaurant. Every personal interaction was about making sure we had a wonderful evening. The chicken liver appetizer with plum sauce was a wonderful surprise. We had crab cakes and scallops for our main and...you just wanted to take small bites so you could make the experience last as long as possible. Cappuccino lovers take heart....here is a restaurant that knows what they are doing....a wonderful drink and a hot cup....another aspect of the meal to savor. (and I did...multiple times!). Lastly we end the event with a brown butter fruit tart that had texture and flavor to rival any dessert we have ever had.

Bottom line....we had a dining experience that made our anniversary dinner one we will always remember. There are lots of places to get food. Lots of places to get "good" food. But establishments that focus on providing memories are very rare and VG Bistro is one you should take in.

I was a little concerned when VG's, one of my favorite local dining spots, changed hands this year. Not to worry. The quality of the food and the service has actually gone up. The new ownership has retained the bones of the old menu but in my view has upped the quality. The scallops I ordered were done perfectly, crispy on the outside but not overdone. Salads were nicely sized, crisp and tasty. So many restaurants are overdoing mussels these days, detracting from the taste of a good, fresh mussel, but not here. The mussels were fresh, plump and prepared in a light tasty broth. Goat cheese ravioli, which we enjoyed at the former VG's, was even better and perhaps served as a larger portion. The wine list was quite adequate with a good selection of wines by the glass. Not to forget the service -- excellent. Jason was there whenever we needed him, timing our dishes perfectly and offering excellent suggestions. Looking forward to menu additions as the new ownership puts its stamp on this old favorite.

We were very late for our reservation, but the staff was accommodating. We had the table that we requested, and the staff made our celebration special. The food was delicious as usual, although the special was slightly overcooked. The filet and lamb were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Overall, all eight of us had a fabulous night.

Lunch was delicious as always!! It was a 4 hour lunch & our waiter kept our water glasses filled & allowed us to sit & enjoy our reunion & great conversations. It was a pleasant experience in a lovely restaurant!!!

My husband and I like to dine here for several reasons: the decor is beautiful, light, airy and soothing. The food is good. The service is excellent. Wish there were more options for entrees, particularly fresh fish selections. I always get the trout which is good but not outstanding. Usually my husband will select a meat dish. This past Saturday he ordered the steak special. Although it was cooked to the correct temperature, my husband thought it tasted more boiled than grilled. A bit disappointing—especially for the price. The beet salad is outstanding. I get it every time. Please keep this selection. Wine selection is good. My husband always gets one of your desserts and enjoys them.

Although the physical atmosphere is beautiful, the noise level does make it difficult to have conversation when we dine with friends.

We will come back. We are going to try mid-week lunch soon and for our next dinner we are going to request the room to the left of the bar (as you are facing the bar) to see if the noise level is better.
