Very reliable and unique dishes. You almost want to make it a "special occasion" restaurant but it can be a casual get-together place, too. Quiet. Fast. Fresh ingredients.
Used to be good...now food cold...service slow and immature
Lovely evening. Baked oysters and watermelon gazpacho, incredible!
Excellent service as usual from Michael
Another fabulous meal that did not disappoint. Starting with a great cocktail, warm bread delivered and an awesome entree. I have not had a bad meal here ever.
The head chef at Bistro vg is amazing. He is truly a great chef and is also a great man. He is very accommodating and even came out to our table to check on us. He took excellent care of our party.
Good food, well prepared and served.
Pleasant staff, a little busy.
I've been searching for a such a restaurant here in the northern suburbs. Bistro VG is close by but yet still has that cool vibe and decor that one would expect in Buckhead. The place was packed, and every table seemed to be having a g good time. It was just that kind of atmosphere. As for the food, the Steak Frites was delicious. The lasagna, made with a slightly spicy Italian sausage was good too. It came covered with fresh arugula which was different but tasty. Service was friendly, timely, and subtle. I'll be back.
Benjamin was superb! Food was superb - we live 2 miles from here and it’s now a new fave!
Great waiter Terry
Everton did an excellent job
We love Bistro VG!
Michael is a terrific waiter . . . we always love coming here.
Creative menu. Good, and often unusual flavor combinations. Visually appealing. Focus on plating and presentation to match high quality ingredients and careful preparation. Easter brunch: Shrimp & Grits, Scrambled Eggs with Fried Chicken, Beet Salad + Fruit, French Toast, Salmon Flatbread.
Easter brunch was delightful. Loved the bunny and the gift bags. Thank you
We went for Easter lunch. The food was OK, it took a while to get our food which made me think it was being cooked from scratch but then it tasted pre made, and it lacked seasoning, plus worst of all, my son asked for his burger to be cooked medium/pink in the middle and it was well done and dry. This won't stop me from returning, it was probably a one off due to the set menu for Easter. Benjamin, our waiter, was outstanding! I wish I could clone him so he could be the server at every restaurant!
We sat on their wonderful little patio and enjoyed a delicious lunch. Everything was perfect. We will return soon.
Love This Place! Great Food!
Great View! Great service! Great drink.
Everthing is Great!
Our daughter was in town visiting
A wonderful relaxing Sunday evening dinner with friends. Sat by the fireplace for cocktails. Seated and Michael was our waiter - a true professional. Great service, great food, relaxing 3 hours. Would recommend to any and all.
Great food/cocktails, lovely warm ambiance & excellent service
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful birthday dinner at Bistro VG! Perfect table for 2! The room we were in was a bit loud, some acoustic tiles could go a long way in cutting some of the noise possibly. Bottle of wine was delicious and we cleaned our plates! Servers were very friendly and prompt with their attention. Looking forward to many other visits!
We’ve been to
Did not enjoy the spice in the MacNCheese
As usual a very solid meal. The gnocchi appetizer was perfectly done, the beat salad was fresh and clean, the short ribs fell of the bone and the rack of lamb was tender and tasty. Service was very attentive.
Husband loves this place. I don’t but decided to give it another try. Waiter was very good however the meal was slow. I watched the assistants stand in place while tables had no bread. When it came, it was exceptional. Best part of the meal. Ordered the Scarlett snapper and as soon as we did, despite the early hour, were told they were out of it. Instead ordered the substitute, wahu fish. Came dry, not flaky and hard to cut. The beans and couscous on the plate were good. My crab cake was mushy. Meantime the restaurant is getting louder and louder and no one is coming with a dessert menu. We got the check and paid. The wahu dinner was taken off.
I know others who love this place and have for years. I am not one. My opinion has not changed so I will pass next time.
Food was creative and excellently prepared. Wait staff could not have been more accommodating and professional. It was a delightful evening and we look forward to returning soon.
Wine and cheese plate were good, but the steak and red snapper were just ok, somehow lackluster - didn’t hit spot. I had way better steak and grilled fish somewhere else, good service and good atmosphere, reasonably priced.
I had reserved and requested a specific table four days ago. I confirmed it the night before. I arrived 20 minutes early for a reunion of friends, only to find that the table was already taken. They had no “excuse” for it although they tried to dance around the issue, and rearranged tables to accommodate me. As the restaurant filled they set up a table so tight next to ours It was outrageously intrusive and rude. Our waitress was lackluster, the food was good. Im sad to see what has happened to one of my favorite places in Roswell, my second bad experience due to poor “Management” at the front check in. The last experience was a “15 minute” wait that turned into an hour.
I have always loved this restaurant. My go to item on the menu is the short ribs and they HAD the best margarita in town. I was so disappointed this time. The short ribs were bland tasting the spicy macaroni and cheese that is served with it was dry and they changed the recipe for their margarita. After sending the drink back three times it still wasn't very good. The waiter suggested their small plate which was a crabcake. It was very good but I was not advised that market price was $24 for one crabcake. Overall not a good experience for me this time. Unfortunately this was probably my last time there.
Love Bistro VG! Consistently delicious food amazing service and ambience.
Been a while since I'd been to Bistro VG. The service and the food was delicious, as always. The restaurant was very quiet, perhaps because it was a week night instead of a weekend. Very nice experience.
Love this restaurant! Always great service and great food!
Very good, some difficulty getting all of the table’s orders served at the same time on a busy Saturday evening.
Food was fantastic. I ordered the pate and salmon. My husband ordered the chicken livers and steak. Everything that came out tasted wonderful.
Server was a bit odd. There were many moments that were awkward and we just thought he was a strange guy until he gave us silverware for our dinner.... but we had already eaten! He said our meals should be up soon. He interacted with us while we were eating, so we were completely confused at this. Oh well. We'll be back anyway. We'll just hope for a different server.
I am so sad, I would have always declared myself to be a raving fan of Bistro VG but this past Saturday night was horrific. In the last 11 years since moving to Roswell we’ve tried other places and always flocked back to VG. My husband and I were having a date night so we were determined not to have this experience mar the evening. So we laughed a lot of this off, but management must know how bad this was. From the time we entered things were off. The hostess was doing clerical work while we stood there with a reservation as she finished stapling things, only to have her lead us to a table with a manner that suggested perhaps she was lost. From there things got more bizarre. Management should call me for the scoop if interested.
Lovely restaurant; very pleased upon being seated but as the evening progressed and became more crowded; the noise level became unbearable.
Food presentation very nice but portions small and looked better than tasted.
Very good service.
This was an anniversary celebration and we were treated like royalty. The food and service good not have been better.
This restaurant is our favorite and the new owners made it better adding items to the menu and it has the best waiter in Michael G
The service was beyond wonderful, but our food was not. Two different managers made several trips to our table and our waiter was beyond accommodating. This is one of my favorite places. When you get inside of the restaurant, you feel like you are in Europe. The ambiance is outstanding and until Saturday nights experience, I would have said the same about the cuisine from former experiences. The restaurant is under new ownership, perhaps with a bit of time, it will improve. We will try again soon!
Service was great. We ordered lamb and received two very small slices. We are not big eaters and were still hungry. Not a good value for the money. We had reservations and were seated near two very large groups, would have appreciated a table in quieter area.
