Parties with 17 or more guests are asked to select a limited menu from our regular menu or a preset menu from our banquet menu. We have a private lot for parking along with a large well-lit public lot adjacent to the restaurant.
Banquet Facilities: bistro VG has three private banquet rooms. The large room can seat up to 60 persons. The smaller rooms can seat 30. There is no room charge; however, there are required deposits to secure a private room reservation and limited menus for groups over 16.

My salad was drowning in salad dressing. I have Celiac disease and told the waitress I needed gluten free. My friend got the same salad. Her goat cheese was breaded. Couldn’t they have put some goat cheese on my salad too? Not breaded, of course, but just a sprinkle. The salad had two scallops and a couple of shrimp. No bread. The price was $18. I was disappointed.

My daughter and I have loved this place for years. It’s the perfect place to dine and we are never disappointed! The salmon is my favorite with the Mountain Trout Setups. YUM!

I like VG Bistro because it's a change from the typical dark décor, being more white and French/Belgian setting. The chef comes up with good specials. It seems to get booked up at times, so not a place to assume one can just drop in. I've been there at least 3 times. The first time with a group of 50 or more in a separate room, the second time on a nice quite anniversary celebration, and the last time another special dinner. As I recall, both times I went with just my date we were seated at the same table for 2. Both times a large party was seated nearby. Both times our quiet dinner mood was disrupted by party atmosphere adjacent to us. Fortunately we had nearly finished our dinner so didn't have to endure it for long. That's just people and not limited to VG by any means. I'm just saying that if your expectation is to spurge $100-150 for a quiet romantic dinner, I wouldn't depend on that here. It's got a nice, airy, open feel with great food and service, but sometimes too lively atmosphere a fine dining experience.

Been going there since I moved to Roswell six years ago. Consistently fine food and service. I prefer it to Canton Street - adequate (and free) parking, not as crowded or loud as places like Little Alley or Table and Main. The most attentive service I have encountered in the Atlanta area.

I was looking for the best restaurant in Alpharetta-Roswell, because I wanted to celebrate my 9th wedding anniversary. This was the great top of choice ever!.
VG is super special not only for the delicious food and exquisite environment, but, the staff is incredible kind, knowledgeable and made us feel VIP, we had an amazing time!
Thanks again to everybody for pampered us and for made our anniversary memorable..we will come back soon!!.

I know it was Valentines day, but they should have been prepared better. The scallops were over cooked, food temp was not warm & desert was not thawed. I used to love this place, not sure what has happened, but they have lost their luster.

So we have been regulars for over 10 years. Today was Valentine’s Day and the 4 of us had dinner. First of all, one member of our party arrived 15 minutes before the rest of us, and was refused to be seated by the staff, even after the fact that I called to say we were in traffic and would be a few minutes late. Then upon arrival I was given attitude by the greeter. When asked why my son was not seated she replied “ we don’t seat until the full party arrives”. Although that’s normal procedure I called to say we were running behind and specifically stated to have my son seated.

Putting that behind us, we ordered ribeye, trout amandine and my daughter who was a vegetarian asked the chef to be creative and make something for her, as everything on the menu is meat. The food comes and my daughters creative dish was mashed potatoes and carrots, my god totally disgusting! Now my wife’s dish arrives, trout with no almonds and no capers as described but with a pound of salt!! Back it goes. Then my ribeye arrives which is total garbage, pounded like veal and 1/4 inch thick! Really a ribeye that looks like a Waffle House steak? Oh by the way my son ordered Venison, which was actually brisket. I pay for venison, but am deceived with cheap beef.

I call the manager over and he has attitude and refuses to acknowledge that the food was poorly prepared, snubs me and takes the two dishes off the tab. Ruins our Valentine’s Day meal, upsets my party and says NOTHING.

So I am done with this place, quality is disgusting and the attitude was unacceptable. I still walked away with $150 tab and needed to eat somewhere else!

If I could I would sue VG’s for breach of food quality !

We had an outstanding meal! Calamari, mussels, (similar to those we ate in Normandy, France), delicious scallops with shrimp risotto and a fantastic chocolate dessert. Each entree was the tastiest we have ever eaten. Even though it was Valentines Day and very busy, Jessica, our server, was attentive and helpful with her suggestions. We will definitely return to this delightful restaurant.

Great service. Food was decent, but did not love any of the dishes, not good enough to pay high dollar for it again. Had octopus (extremely chewy, not very good sauce), gem salad (dressing wasn't that good, however the fried onions were delicious), French onion soup (decent, have had better), scallops entree (one scallop didn't even look like a scallop, some were very chewy, some seemed under cooked), and braised short ribs entree (served in a horrible dish for eating, ribs needed more sauce, Mac and cheese needed more cheese). The best part was the coffee and espresso with tiramisu for dessert.

Had a great time. The food was excellent and the service outstanding.
Try the pate de champagne . The bread(baquette) is exactly how it should be(taste, smell and appearance).
Will certainly go back there when in town.

A huge hit as always - had been many times for lunch - superb for dinner as well. Introduced foodie hubby and teenage son - they cannot wait to go back. Always so many great items on the menu. Simply fabulous.
