Bistro Vendome - NYC
Bistro Vendome is located in an elegant tri-level townhouse featuring a mezzanine with a skylight, overlooking an outdoor terrace and a stylish and welcoming bar. Our decor is authentic and cozy, with warm and earthy tones, designed for a perfect meal.
We want everyone to feel at home in our home!
The food and staff were fabulous!
This bistro never disappoints. We have been going over 12 years and whatever we order is delicious and beautifully prepared. In the simmer there is a lovely outdoor garden to dine. Seasonal specials are great. Go and enjoy!!
We have dined at Vendome many times. Not only is the food and service excellent, but every time we’ve come here over the years, they are even better. If you’re looking for traditional French bistro cooking, look no further.
A lovely local bistro with an excellent menu from prix fixe to a la carte.
Don't understand why I earned no points. Was on time.
As always. Food was delicious.
The service excellent.
My husband I went there Thanksgiving day. We got a table a bit later than our reservation time.
And my scallops was a little bit salty but their service was good and my husband was enjoyed his Turkey dinner.
My very favorite Bistro in NYC....It never disappoints and Thanksgiving was no exception, our home away from home....delicious food, welcoming hosts and staff, cozy and comfortable atmosphere.
My wife and I dine frequently at Bistro Vendome, so it’s only natural that we would go there for Thanksgiving — something we’ve done for the past 5 years. As is the case with their regular everyday menu, their Thanksgiving Day turkey special is not only delicious and superior to any that we’ve had at other Manhattan restaurants (including Le Cirque, The Mark and the various incarnations of David Burke’s eateries), but also represents a much better value.
Always a great meal and thanksgiving was no exception!! Food is always delicious and they have good wine and cocktail options.
An excellent, local French resto on the Upper East Side. Attractive setting, very attentive staff and very fine food. Traditional French bistro cooking in a seriously french environment. Easily recommended.
Always lovely and delicious!
Always enjoy this place!
This is our favorite French restaurant and our go-to whenever we are looking for filet mignon. The service is impeccable, the food is top notch, especially the mussels, the filet mignon, and the scallops. and the setting (three levels of a townhouse) serves up an interesting variety. If you are looking for a private party, they will block off a whole level for you.
Solid neighborhood restaurant with very good, freshly prepared food, reasonable wine list and pleasant ambiance.
Outstanding food!! The duck special with truffles and fois gras was delicious and the rack of lamb was cooked perfectly! Chef Pascale is amazing!
An unpretentious French bistro in the Sutton Place neighborhood. Warm friendly French speaking staff and very typical and delicious bistro fare. Highly recommended.
The food is wonderful, the setting charming, and the service outstanding.
My family is familiar with Bistro Vendome and it is one thing all three generations enjoy.
The basic pleasure of course is the food which is truly reliable and the cozy atmosphere enhances the pleasure. As a result Bistro Vendome has become a habit.
I went for a late lunch with my daughter and 3 month old granddaughter. We were seated downstairs which was perfect as we placed the baby carrier on the banquet. My daughter and each had the French Onion Soup which was perfect, including the "well done" cheese which we requested. We shared a medium rare sirloin steak and the shallot sauce on the side. We didn't use the sauce for the steak but instead for the crispy french fries. All in all a wonderful lunch.
Pretty, trilevel place. Friendly, accommodating service. Food is mediocre and pricey. I wish I liked Bistro Vendome better but there are so many better bistros around.
The food and the service are always consistent and delightful.
It is a great neighborhood restaurant- warm and welcoming.
We had a wonderful time meeting with cousins. The food and wine was delicious and the service was terrific. We arrived quite early so very quiet but soon filled up. The space is lovely and we will be sure to return.
Wonderful lunch visit. Food is always excellent and a wonderful place to enjoy the afternoon with friends
The broiled salmon was perfectly seasoned and the sauce that came with it simply enhanced the flavor, didn't drown it The ratatouille was a delicious accompaniment.
Food was not up to par and because they were busy, the service was not as usual
Never disappointed. Enjoyed the artichoke salad. Nice way to experience artichoke. The Chilean Sea Bass texture was soft without being mushy. It tasted great and the portion was generous.
I am always welcomed back. This is a friendly neighborhood restaurant that is very popular. The food is good and the ambiance is comfortable and lively. Right now one of their fall specials in Quenelles which are light and delicious.
Fabulous neighborhood jewel! Delicious food every time!
I come here every time I am in New York. Food is consistently good and so is the service. Also important is that I can always hear my dinner companion even when it is crowded
The food is excellent. When I made the reservation, I requested a table upstairs. When I arrived, they told me that they could not seat me upstairs and did not give me an option to wait for a table to open up. The upstairs ambiance is much nicer than the downstairs. The waitress we had was not very good. Perhaps she was new. We asked to share something and she did not split it into 2 plates until we asked her to and she split it far from evenly. I am new to the neighborhood and have already been there 3 times and will be going again this week. Perhaps when they get to a point of recognizing me as a regular, I will be treated better.
The most charming little bistro! Service was phenomenal, food was pretty good. Skip the dessert.
My favorite neighborhood restaurant!
Good food at this local haunt at a reasonable price. Met am old college friend for dinner for catch up and business. Casual environment. Attentive staff. Nice selection and price points on menu.
Food was excellent as always
Extra charge for substitution of spinach for potato but servers don’t tell you that it will be an extra $3. When we questioned the host, we were told it was policy not to say anything because patrons would be insulted. Ridiculous and though we have eaten there regularly for years, no adjustment was made. Very bad business in our opinion.
The traditional neighborhood French restaurant has slowly been disappearing in New York, but Bistro Vendome keeps the tradition very much alive. Their take on classics like steak tartar, frogs legs, baked mussels, and duck breast is every bit as good as one can find in Paris. The wine selection by the glass
is very good and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and one can actually hear
the person across the table. What could be better?
A bit noisy as a couple of the ladies at the next table were shouters, but we had a lovely evening.
Consistently good food and professional courteous service. Highly recommended.
Always a pleasant experience - good food and nice atmosphere.
