Fabulous as always! Never a bad meal!!!

Amazing as always!!! This is one of the best spots in Birmingham! It never fails to be amazing food! The service is great and the atmosphere is wonderful! Stop looking and go here you won’t regret!

We had a fantastic evening, great camaraderie, the food was excellent, we were served quickly. The staff is tops yet again.

The food and service were great. I thought the menu was a bit limited, but it was lunch time, so that's probably why (and...you know, COVID and all). It wasn't the same menu that was posted online, but I was still very happy with the grilled cheese and tomato soup I had! It was QUITE delicious!

Family birthday dinner reservation through OpenTable on a Saturday night at 6:00. We made some special requests that clearly weren’t reviewed. Our server was also the only bartender and it took over an hour for our food to arrive. Food was fine, but we were so bummed that our special occasion didn’t turn out well. With all the great reviews, I’d like to give them a second chance, but it will be awhile.

Food was excellent! We particularly enjoyed the fried shrimp, oysters, and calamari appetizer as well as the prime rib.

We ordered crab claws for appetizer and they were delicious! Our entrees was shrimp and grits and filet and was also delicious. Strawberry shortcake was outstanding. Went for New Years Eve and it was an excellent choice. Always enjoy going here. Great ambiance and food never disappoints.

Great food, great service!

Our waitress was Amber and she was fantastic! Never had to get her attention or ask for anything, she was always ahead of the game.
The food was excellent! We had snapper and it was very fresh and well prepared. Got there just before they closed down their lunch and did not feel any pressure to leave or hurry our meal which is unusual from our experience at other area restaurants.

Took my family there before Christmas. The food was good and nice portions. Nice waitress. I didn’t like how loud it was, and it’s not very cozy in there at all.

I don’t think any of the restaurants I have been to read the requests one lists on Open Table reservation page. I indicated it was out first visit and it was our 49th Anniversary. CRICKETS!

Celebrated our daughter’s birthday at Bistro V.
Service was outstanding and food was delivered within 10 minutes of ordering. Food was great! Thanks to Amber for great service!

Our waitress, Ashley, was just wondering!! Very attentive and great personality. Enjoyed our lunch. But I felt $4.00 was a little too much to substitute a side dish.

The hostess/bar lady screamed across the bar from one end to the other to a man sitting there. It was obnoxious and very unprofessional. I realize there were only a couple of tables occupied but we deserve the same dining experience as you are known for. She was so loud it was offensive. People pay for the whole experience not just food. We couldn’t wait to leave.

We enjoyed our meal at Bistro V very much. Our table was, we felt, awkwardly positioned with a direct view into the kitchen complete with swinging doors that don't fully close and wait staff in and out delivering food. HOWEVER, this was completely made up for by the excellent service and wonderful food and drinks.

Considering everything, extremely enjoyable experience. COVID-19 concerns well addressed, especially social distancing. Really good food and drinks.

Food is okay. Ambience is lacking. Service staff need a lot of work. After multiple attempts to like this place, unfortunately it’s about the same experience each time.

The food was excellent! The staff was nice. They accommodated my party, even when an extra person showed up. The ambiance was great. It took a while to get our food but it was worth the wait. I enjoyed my time there celebrating my birthday with friends.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Excellent choice!

I dined at Bistro V on a Friday night with a friend to celebrate her belated birthday. The overall experience was wonderful & the food was delicious! Will definitely be back to try more dishes. I had a bit of a hard time deciding what to order because everything looked so good! The interior is pretty understated, but comfortable and nice. Our waitress was knowledgeable, however my only issue & the reason I didn’t give a full 5 stars is that she did make us feel rushed from the beginning. We asked for another minute to make a decision on what to order, and she told us that was ok but that there were reservations after us. I just felt like there might be a bit more tactful way to say this. Our reservation was at 5:45, so I of course didn’t think we were going to be the last diners there... it just put a little feeling on the rest of our dinner that we needed to hurry to get out of there. Other than that, I was extremely pleased with the food. I had the crab ravioli which was fantastic, and my friend had the fettuccini. I tried a bite of it, and it was delicious as well! We split the chocolate bread pudding, which came a la mode & was large enough to have been split by 4 people in my opinion...we left a lot on the table, but it was very good! Everything was at a very reasonable price point for the quality of the meal. I can’t wait to come back to try more dishes!

We ate indoors at Bistro V and the tables had nice separation and there weren't too many people. The server was attentive and very nice. She wore a mask throughout the time were there. Menu is not quite as extensive as it was pre-Covid. We had Po Boys and they were good although somewhat hard to eat, a lot of food on a fairly small bun. The tomatoes on the Po Boy were delicious! They also have a nice area for outside dining.
