Normally I give Bistro V 5 stars as their food and service are excellent. Last night I ordered their snapper special and although it was delicious it was a very small piece of fish. I guess inflation has hit everyone.

I had the Red Snapper over succotash. The succotash was very tasty and creative with the addition of a few leaves of arugula. The snapper was cooked to perfection. I splurged on Strawberry Shortcake for dessert. It was suburb! The waiter was very attentive. I have no complaints about the entire experience.

We just returned from several days in Destin, Fl. and visited several restaurant while there. At Bistro V the crab cakes dinner was superbly delicious, and the crab claws appetizer was better than the ones we had in Destin.

We were visiting from out of town and found your restaurant based on the positive reviews. We were not disappointed with the variety of starters and entrees. We craved seafood and the risotto didn't disappoint. Your wine selection was also very solid. We would recommend your location!

This is our favorite restaurant in Birmingham. SO many wonderful menu selections and the service is wonderful!!! It is our "go to" place on a weeknight or weekend!! The Sweet Chile Shrimp is one my favorites and the Crab Claws are the PERFECT appetizer.

Wait staff was excellent. All food and beverage was excellent. We ordered different items including fish special of the day, scallops and lobster ravioli. All were outstanding along with each of the 3 desserts (we were a group of 6). We will be back!

Excellent food and service. Fresh farm to table selections are consistently prepared. A good choice of proteins including seafood chicken and beef ( pork too, but not that I recall on this visit). A favorite place to eat out!

Their fish special of the day is always good and the snapper I had at lunch today may have been one of the best. I used a couple of slices of bread that were left to sop up as much of the sauce as possible. Man! This was delicious!! :-)

For the first time the pasta dish I routinely get was different. Over all still tasted good, just was missing the cream based sauce in the dishes we ordered. Server was excellent.

Our appetizers (Salads) and entrees came out almost at the same time. For the prices paid at this restaurant, this should not happen unless the guests ask for it. I love this place and our server was fantastic otherwise, and I'm not even blaming the server. The kitchen needs to space meals out for the price tag of the food.

First off, the taste of the food - excellent. Heirloom Tomatoe Salad would be better than Hot&Hot if they had the okra and shrimp added. However, not all of the shells were removed from my shrimp (shrimp and grits) and I was constantly picking it out of my teeth. Taste was excellent. Our waitress was knowledgeable, and friendly, however she spent more time mixing drinks at the bar and talking than assisting us, they had plenty of servers, so that was not the issue. My empty salad plate was never removed from the small table after my entree arrived, so we had to stack our own dishes. Our waters were never refilled, so we had to ask another server to please refill our glasses, mine twice. Finally, you have a request section on Open Table. We requested a quiet, out of the way table, and we're seated in the loud, very close proximity bar area. Overall, the flavors were wonderful, but for 2 people with a tab of over $200, the experience should have been a lot better. I'd love to go back, and hopefully have a better experience.

Excellent Heirloom Tomato Salad, Grilled Snapper over Succotash always a winner and Braised Short Ribs outstanding. In Season Strawberry Shortcake was also exceptional. Great Wine list and Excellent Service.
