We have been to Bistro V several times. The service and food never disappoints. Always a good time with great food.

Hadn’t been in a long time so was really looking forward to a great dinner - service was good, good dinner options (heavy on seafood) but the food wasn’t to my liking. I had raw oysters to start - they were good but were served with weird crackers - what happened to saltines or better yet, the Bread at the table? My entree was fettuccine with Conecha sausage, crawfish, chicken, and a creamy sauce - all Elements were good but lacking oomph- I asked for salt and pepper to get something more out of it. ☹️. Overall, it was good but not great for me. Will mark this off list of need to return.

The wine is limited but well chosen and priced right

Valentine dinner a day late.

The food is good, but the atmosphere needs work. It's very loud. Thankfully, we were seated in the second room, which is nicer than the first room, which is between the front door and the open kitchen. Also, we ordered the calamari/shrimp/oyster appetizer because we love calamari. We were brought a plate with exactly one piece of calamari in the mix. When the waiter placed it down, he said, "We're running low on calamari." If he had told us that when we ordered it, we would have gotten something else. The entrées (shrimp and grits and fettuccine) were great, and we enjoyed ourselves, but I don't think we'll go back.

Went on Valentines Day and our table was ready on time. Not an hour late or later like other restaurants on past Valentines in the past.
We were greatly promptly by a waiter and served hot bread. Bistro V has not skimped on waiters to tables and the service has always been outstanding.
The waiter told us their specials then we ordered drinks and appetizers and we loved their crab claws. Great choices of appetizers.
Drinks and appetizers came out quickly.
Soon there after the he entrees arrived and both of us ordered specials which was hard to pick because the menu had some great choices too.
Great service, great drinks, great appetizers and entrees. We were too full for desserts.
Very impressed with everything and will be back soon.

Made a Valentines reservation about 6 weeks in advance . We arrived on time and were seated at a high top table near a big open area into the kitchen. Table had stools not chairs. Other people without reservations were seated in the same area . Two of the couples left. Nothing upfront in the reservation process said we were going to be sat at a high top. Asked about it, response was that many people like the high top I doubt it. Food was good and service was good but the table and area ruined the Valentines ambiance. Probably won’t go back as you can’t trust the reservation process.

Food was delicious — had steak, shrimp & grits, and gumbo! All was wonderful. Our server was attentive and very nice. Overall great experience!

Top notch local restaurant; great menu with good variety of dishes; fried crab claws are the best I’ve had in a long time; services was outstanding; a bit noisy but bearable.

Bistro V usually a favorite but Valentine dinner did not live up to their usual standards. We ordered the snapper special and it just wasn’t very good. The presentation was different consisting of white beans but the fish was the problem. It was also very costly.

Awesome as always, my wife and I have been going to Bistro V for years and it has always been consistently awesome.

My husband and I took my mother to celebrate her 79th birthday. The meal and service were delicious as always. She enjoyed her meal very much.

My dining companion and I began the evening with martinis, which were quite good and cold just like we like them. We shared the $15 fried seafood appetizer which included shrimp, oysters and calamari. I loved the oysters! But we had to hunt for the scant pieces of calamari. We both had seafood entrees. He had paella and I had the scallops. The scallops were quite good, and it was an ample portion for me. The paella was also good, but not over-the-top scrumptious, more like a 3 or 4 stars out of 5. Both he and I had eaten better paella. Our service was excellent, even though the place was hopping. Two large groups were seated at long rectangular tables. So, it was also very noisy. If the restaurant is crowded, instead of a table for two, I would prefer seats at the bar. Side by side we would have had a better conversation.

This was a fun and enjoyable little local place. There were three of us in our group. One of us was bowled over with our entrée - one of us was satisfied and one of us was just OK. The filet, which was a large size, was not flavorful at all - but the cut was tender enough. The sides with it, fingerling potatoes and brussel sprouts were not flavorful either. I had to constantly add salt to all of them. The pasta dish was licked clean and the short ribs plate was also mostly eaten. This is a great place with good atmosphere and service, just might need to tweak the seasonings - especially since it is a little more pricey than average.

We really enjoy sitting at the bar at BistroV. The food is always great and the service is outstanding!

Our table was ready and we sat right down.
Great waiter. Have always had great service. Got our drinks and explained the specials and the menu. The risotto special was outstanding. As were the crab claw appetizer.
Bread is always good as are their drinks.
Nice fresh ingredients and great service.
They could add an item or two to their dessert menu. Has always been a good experience but this time was really good.

Our first experience here was good, but definitely great. The service was very good, but they actually ran out of shrimp on a Saturday night! My Paella was just okay, but the bread that they serve before the meal was excellent.

We had a group of 6. We started with crab claws. They were fantastic!
Everyone loved their entrees: Crab Cakes, Jambalaya, Shrimp & Grits ( said it was the best she’d ever had), Ribs(loved them!).
We also had blueberry cobbler w/ice cream,
Creme brûlée, Bread Pudding. All delicious but I voted cobbler the best!
This is one of our favorite places & still does not disappoint!

Appetizer, salads and entrees were generally tasty. Perhaps some seasonings could have been enhanced.

DInner and our table were excellent. Our server was very attentive and very nice. The only suggestion I would have is that when someone has a birthday dinner, a dessert should be offered.

The food was "OK" - Good menu selection, and some interesting choices. And it was prepared decently - but I cannot say it was great. The staff is friendly - but the service was not professional. Our server missed a couple opportunities to take our cocktail order - due to the delay, we ended up order everything at once. But then our appetizer came out before our cocktail. And the entree arrived before we were done with both the cocktail and the appetizer. Entree was delivered by a runner - and our server didn't revisit to check on the food -or to take order for wine for an inordinate amount of time. This is one of those places that doesn't have salt on the table, ostensibly I suppose, because the chef believes the food to be seasoned appropriately. Well it wasn't. So by the time the appropriate seasoning and our wine arrived, the food was less than the ideal temperature. Small things add up - and although overall it certainly wasn't a terrible experience - given the choice, I'll choose to dine elsewhere.

Birthday celebration... food was excellent as always!! Filet was perfectly cooked... can’t wait to go back again soon!

Our waiter Cheyenne was wonderful. Although the tables were full, and the place busy, and he seemed to have most of the tables, our service was great, timely, and courteously served.
