From its roots in Central Asia, the Turkish cuisine became rich and varied, a reflection of the journey to Asia Minor and the great expanse of the Ottoman Empire. At our bistro, you will experience a flavorful culinary tradition with elements of Greek, Persian, and Middle Eastern dishes.
Bistro Turkuaz also tells the story of a valuable Persian gem that was traded in the bazaars of Turkey in the 16th Century and then sold to Europeans by Venetian merchants. The French mistakenly named this blue-green gem turquoise, meaning Turkish.
We invite you to share the colorful history and flavors of Turkish food with your friends and family in the warm atmosphere of the Bistro Turkuaz.
We loved our dinner here what a sweet place.
We will definitely come back with friends!
The atmosphere is the best thing about Bistro Turkuaz but the food is a close second. The owners came to introduce themselves and were so friendly and inviting. The Turkish tea was some of the best I’ve ever had and my wife is Turkish! Definitely going back. So much fun!!
Cozy, quiet neighborhood restaurant with excellent food at reasonable prices.
We arrived and was greeted by the owner.
Loved the look and feel of this place.
It filled up fast and was very electric, especially the music!
Food was delicious and the server did a wonderful job!
We definitely will return!
This is a delightful neighborhood small restaurant. The evening we were there service was quite slow but they we low staffed due to a death in the family. I had the Mixed Kebabs. Very good, but maybe a little over cooked. I'm assuming this is because of staffing. I'd definitely return to give them another chance. Lovely family run business.
Great meal and a wonderful family atmosphere. We will be back.
This bistro is truly the best in town.
The food and the decor are both delicious and welcoming. We absolutely love coming here.
A true Seattle staple.
We continue to come here as a wonderfully homey place to escape what’s become a crazy food scene.
Turkuaz is small and decorated with an eclectic mix of art all in a reddish brown hue.
The food is truly ethnic, not a rendition of ethnic. If you want more true flavors of the region with decent portions and reasonable prices, go. Try the lamb shank or any kebabs.
Simply the best Turkish food in Seattle. Feels like you are in your grandmother's kitchen.
This bistro is absolutely wonderful.
Everything is so warm and welcoming, you feel like you are sitting in her home.
Every dish was delicious, we can’t wait to come back again and try others.
Owner is delightful.
I highly recommend Bistro Turkuaz for delicious Turkish food. The owner, Deanna, was so welcoming and generous with her food. We had the Turkish Plate (hummus, baba ghanoush and cacik) with pita for appetizers and it was so yummy. Since it was our first time eating here, we shared our entrees, the Chicken Special, Balk, Kofte Kebab and Karides Guvec., so that each of us could try the various items. It was all very good. We enjoyed the baklava for dessert. We are looking forward to returning for another meal!
Dinner here was amazing!
Such a quaint and beautiful little restaurant with delicious food!
Owner is absolutely lovely and welcoming.
We will definitely return with family and friends.
Tender meats and great service.
I love this place. The food was extraordinary- we wanted to try everything! It’s so nice to be able to hear the people you are dining with. It’s great - the weather family feel and the pride the family takes in the delicious food they make. We are ready to be regulars.
Good authentic cuisine, very friendly service, cozy atmosphere
This place feels like somewhere in Europe. It was such a relaxing experience and the owner even came out to see how your meal was. She cooks because she loves feeding people and you can taste it!
The most tender chicken!
Love the staff!
Owner and her Turkish friend and waitress make the best and funniest team..
Cutely decorated and so cozy!
The food here is not representative of authentic Turkish cuisine.
We arrived at 5:30 and stayed until 9 o’clock everything about this quaint little special bistro was wonderful
our server was also the owner and her nephew is also cooking with her and Together they put out the most fantastic meal of lamb, chicken and beef kufta. We shared a bowl of the Turkish dumplings called manti, all of it absolutely wonderful! the Wine’s were so unique and delicious, i’ve never had a Turkish wine before and this one was absolutely yummy. The bistro is warm, it’s inviting and the playlist for music kept us just sitting sipping our wine and eventually staying for over three hours, we didn’t want to leave! Please treat yourself and come here to eat, DeAnna is wonderful and inviting and you won’t be disappointed!
Another awesome dinner with friends. Everyone loves to food specially lamb❤️ Babaganush was the different then any place. I hope everyone has a chance to try these delicious foods with delicious Turkish wines 🍷
Outstanding food and service.
I recommend the lamb. The owner stated it is her best dish so I went with the lamb shank, absolutely delicious!
My date had the traditional Tass dish with rice and salad. He was so pleased with the flavors.
Baklava is hands down 5 star!
Five stars all round as always. The food and the service are always amazing! Our favourite Seattle restaurant always delivers!
Love this place!
Food is so good and the service was great!
We will definitely be back!
Dinner was so delicious.
Lamb and kafte dishes were served with plentiful portions and the Baklava is the best I’ve ever had.
First time drinking Turkish wines and it was also delicious.
This place is a complete win!
Highly recommend this restaurant!
Authentic as it gets, staff and owner made everything about our meal memorable.
Wonderful experience here, the food was fresh and excellent. I highly recommend the Turkauz Special and the traditional borek.
Food is Excellent!
Good wine and service.
Love the lamb!
Food is amazing! save a place for Baklava, it is delicious!
Staff does a wonderful job and the owner is so gracious.
That girl cooks her heart out!
If you are in the mood for Turkish or Mediterranean food, this would be a great choice. It's a bit more than a hole-in-the-wall, with seating for perhaps 20+ patrons. The server is a delightful woman who seems to be part of the ownership. She was cheerful, warm, enthusiastic and helpful with the menu. The kitchen is small to match the rest of the place, but it doesn't lack in wonderfully prepared dishes which were beautifully presented and extremely generous in portion size. The wine list is limited, but what they have seems to do in quality bottles for a reasonable price. It was our first trip here; it will not be our last. It's a great place for a terrific meal with friends in a relaxed atmosphere.
This is a great place to eat!
Food and wine are delicious and the staff was wonderful!
Can’t wait to go again!
Food is delicious and plentiful, bring your appetite and your love of great Turkish wines.
Owner is what makes this place, she is truly in her element here.
Shout out to her young niece cooking in the kitchen with her, it’s going to be generations of good stuff!
Good food and atmosphere. Excellent service! Chef came to our table three times to check on us and discuss dishes. Very enjoyable. Thank you
Superb dining experience at a family run restaurant. Great food and fantastic personal service. Loved it.
Tender lamb and Kofte beef.
The hummus and fresh rolled dolma were so good as was the baklava.
The staff and owner make the place.. true passion for the food and atmosphere.
If you're in the mood for some authentic home-cooked food with a virtual guarantee for next day leftovers, then this is your place.
The baba ghanoush was really yummy with a healthy amount of yogurt and traditional mediterranean spices. The hummus was thick and also excellent.
The mains were all very good. The kofte is highly recommended. It's a very good recipe.
The dishes were overflowing, to the point where it was difficult to not make a mess. :) The carry-out boxes were very much appreciated.
Delicious food! We tend to order lamb dishes at Mediterranean restaurants since we don’t cook lamb much ourselves, and these were just scrumptious! Three of four of us got lamb—different renditions: kabobs, leg of lamb, etc, and they all were great. Tender, juicy, full of flavor. And we tried a new Turkish wine, just in, that was nice. The owner and her staff person were both so attentive, generous and accommodating. It was a delightful evening. Highly recommended!
So good as always!
This Saturday they will be serving Turkish style tacos for Cinco de Mayo...WTF
Already have my reservation!
Love the blend of Turkish- Italian.
Owner is so warm and welcoming
Very unique and tasty Turkish wines.
