Bistro St. Tropez serves exotic and stylish French cuisine in its contemporary eatery. Delectable and artfully presented starter options include the tomate mozzarella et roquette with fresh tomatoes and mozzarella, and the salade maison with golden apples, goat cheese and roasted beets. Bistro St. Tropez's house entrées include the pan-roasted diver scallops coquilles with smoky bacon and red pepper coulis, and the pan-roasted poulet, French chicken with roasted corn and mushrooms. To finish your meal in style, try the cheese course laden with imported cheese, wine, croutons and nuts, or the double-layered chocolate cake with crème anglaise.
Additionally, Bistro St. Tropez has an à la carte menu, allowing diners to pick and choose French specialty plates to create their own meal.
Last night that restaurant was open.
Thanks again for all the sumptuous dinner we had there. We can't wait to see what your next adventure will be!
RIP--ate there on one of the last nights - the chef came around, his dog was also there. The bathroom was neat and I wish I had eaten there more in the past
One of the most incredible meals I had the pleasure of eating. Farewell Matthew and Chef Patrice. Philadelphia will miss you as do we.
Sorry to see them close!!!! We have gone many times in the past and are sad to see them go!
Our favorite special occasion, Bastille Day and restaurant for great French cuisine. The closing "restaurant week" menu had all of the great dishes, not to mention desserts that we have always loved there. Will look forward to their reopening at a new location as walking through the closed and under renovation Marketplace for our last dinner there was very sad.
We came for one last meal before Chef Patrice closes at the Market Place Design Center. We were not disappointed. My husband, usually a solid steak eater, got the scallops because the Bistro is the only place that the scallops are consistently fabulous-never chewy or overcooked. I had the duck, which was cooked to perfection.
The restaurant is still serving the 3 course restaurant week special. So I started with the mushroom soup. I love this mushroom soup. I first had it at the Bistro for Thanksgiving several years ago. This soup is perfection-delicious and soothing. My husband, who has had escargot in many, many restaurants, declared the escargot he had at the Bistro the best he's ever had.
And the St. Tropez cake for dessert was divine. Light and chocolatey-pure deliciousness without being heavy. I really, really hope Chef Patrice finds a new place soon. Until then, we'll dream of the many amazing meals we had there.
Have been dining here for years! Have never had a bad meal, and have MANY happy memories of great food, great service, and special occasions. Sign up for their mailing list so you'll be informed when they re-open in a new spot. Very best wishes to Chef Rames and all the staff. We will miss you.
We celebrated Valentines Day by having dinner at Bistro St. Tropez. We ordered from the Valentines Day Prix Fix menu. The portions were small but the food was good. The view from the restaurant was beautiful. The service was good and we enjoyed our night out.
The night was full of ups and downs. Difficult to find the restaurant as it is in the middle of an abandoned shopping center under construction. Once we got seated, the view would have been great had the windows not been entered fogged up. The meals were actually very good. The lamb, duck and risotto dishes were all pleasing to the group. But then the dessert was disappointing and we ate it anyway because we weren't quite full after dinner. Granted it was a cold evening, but the bathrooms were freezing. A lot of the negatives had to do with the building and overall environment, and the positive was definitely the food. They ran out of the chocolate dessert which was a shame because I'm sure it would have better than the white chocolate and creme brulee that was served. I heard that the chef/owner is looking for a new location which is definitely a good idea, otherwise we won't be making another trip to bistro st tropez. :(
