Food was excellent and the service was even better. Wonderful experience
Birthday lunch with girlfriends. Excellent service and good salads, quiche, and eggs beny. Recommend ordering dressing on the side.
We loved our first dinner experience at Bistro St Michaels. We enjoyed brunch there about a year ago, and the dinner menu and experience was as excellent.
Our server, Christian, knew what he was talking about, and was fun to engage with. The owner was attentive and thoughtful when she seated a big party next to us. The food was delicious. The wine list was excellent. Overall, another wonderful place we will visit again (and again, and again).
Get the short ribs! Exceptional!
I've always enjoyed this restaurant and have eaten here on just about every visit to St. Michaels. But, I won't be going back. We were expecting to have a nice dinner in a classy restaurant. We were seated upstairs, when mid-meal, a large party of 12 obnoxiously drunk people were seated in the same room. They were so arrogant they actually joked about how they were ruining everyone's meal. The server apologized to us, but no manager approached the group to ask them to settle down. If I wanted that kind of atmosphere I would have eaten at the Carpenter Saloon. I could barely hear what the server was saying, much less the friend I was trying to have a birthday dinner with. Those people should have been asked to leave, but instead the staff were happy to serve them more alcohol. Hope no one was driving!
We went to Bistro St. Michaels on Saturday night and had an absolutely wonderful time!!! Christian was our waiter, and could not have been more attentive to our needs! The table upstairs was perfect, our dinners were amazing and it was great to see Jen and Doug!!! We will be returning later this month for another fun filled evening!
Christian, I hope you will be our waiter again!!!!
Outstanding service and food! Always enjoy a tremendous meal!
Great experience and delicious entrees, service, ambiance. The desserts were lacking though, we were disapointed with both that we ordered.
Enjoyed a fabulous Bday dinner at The Bistro Friday evening with my hubby! Everything was delicious from
Beginning to end! My hubby enjoyed the short rib and I had the special which was a delicious Bouillabaisse!

Oysters, mushroom toast, salad and seafood sausage was outstanding. Wonderful experience
Thank you so much! We are so glad you enjoyed your dinner and we hope to see you again soon!
Nice little place for lunch; we haven't had dinner here yet. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, consistently good food. Lots of locals.
Outstanding dinner at Bistro St. Michael s! We did a quick winter getaway last weekend and definitely the warmest place in town was the Bistro St. Michael's. We had a great and comfortable seating in the front of the room, but there is also a fabulous bar and booths (upscale) in the side room for more casual dining.. everyone in the room seemed to be having a great dinner.. Our hostess was warm and engaging and our Waiter did not rush us and had great suggestions. All in all it was a gorgeous and relaxing and delicious dinner.
Thank you for your kind words, we're so glad you enjoyed yourselves. We hope to see you on your next visit to our lovely town!
This was a birthday celebration and couldn't have been nicer. Superb food and great ambience!
I have been here many times. This used to be my favorite restaurant. This time the Halibut fish special was sub par. The couples in the tables on each side of were to close. The booths are much level. The noise level was extreme. We left after the entree even though we always order desert
Was a wonderful dinner from the atmosphere to the service we were very happy. The food was superb.
My hubby and I celebrated our 30th Valentine’s together here! Everything was excellent! Food , service and ambiance! It wasn’t our first dinner at the Bistro and will definitely not be our last! Thank you for such a lovely evening!
We had a fantastic night, our meal was perfect, great portion and seasoning was spot on. Nice wine list. The service was attentive but not overwhelming. Chef was friendly and approachable.
Looking forward to returning
We had the absolute BEST MEAL there this past Saturday!! The oysters were to die for as was the French onion soup, and almonds! We are still talking about how good everything was! The steak was also excellent and the service was super friendly. Highly recommend! We will be back! 5 ladies on a girls weekend :)
Wonderful menu selections, great cocktails and a fabulous wine list! We particularly love, Marie, our favorite server.
Very attentive and accommodating staff. We had a group of 7 and the restaurant did a great job bringing all our food out at once. Love the food and the ambiance.
Excellent service - amazing Foie Gras, beautiful ambiance overall a wonderful restaurant.
Very good service, wine selection was great, cheesecake was delicious
Wonderful Saturday brunch, food, service, value. A gem in the area.
It was mind blowing experience and had an excellent waiter, Thomas who had provided excellent service. I just wish I gave him a bigger tip. I will return again in the future and looking forward to have Thomas serve us again!
Great staff....excellent mixologist (creative!), and very, very good food! Try the best quiche ever for Brunch on weekends.
Fabulous meal, great service, great menu . Definitely the best onion soup I ever had. A must go if you are in St. Michaels
Bistro St Michaels is a gem, always and consistently excellent, creative chef, delightful staff. Moved to St Michaels from another place in Maryland, a town with 200 restaurants - but Bistro would top their list!
It was delightful!
It was an amazing experience with a kind and attentive staff. The value was great -- and so was the food!
Bistro St. Michaels is a great little restaurant with excellent food, ambience, and service. The staff is, not only, very knowledgeable and helpful, but also very engaging and pleasant.
We recently had both dinner and brunch at the Bistro and both meals were out of this world! The oysters and mussels were the best we've eaten anyway! Main courses were cooked perfectly and full of creativity, the chef did an outstanding job. I would recommend the Bistro to anyone looking for quality, atmosphere and a great way to share a meal with friends. We will be sure visit The Bistro again!
Always excellent - great staff and food. We always look forward to a dinner here
Excellent service, wonderful entrees
On December 8, 2018 I took my girlfriend of 7 years here for a romantic dinner and proposed to her. The setting was private, quiet, and relaxing. The staff was very supportive in helping me set this special occasion up to be perfect. The service was amazing and the food was excellent. A big thank you to the staff for being a part of a very special moment.
We live near St Michaels so we get to town a few times a year. We always get there for the St. Michaels Christmas Festival which is the first weekend in December. For us it is all about the Christmas House Tour and then a great meal before the 1.5 hour drive home. So, our restaurant selection is important. There are 2 restaurants right on the main street in whcih we like to dine. My wife and I don't share the same culinary tastes so we alternate. This was my year. The menu here is more adventuresome and always well prepared. The service is great with an attentive and experienced staff. Be aware that there are kind of 2 Bistro's in one here. There are the cloth covered tables and quiet atmosphere at the front and upstairs and a newer more contemporary part in the back with a bar and booths that face the open kitchen. (There is also the TV on the back wall on a sport's channel that seems out of place even in this contemporary setting.) The back part is busy but the energy is contagious. The final conclusion? Go for the food and pick your seating according to your mood. Can't go wrong.
Delicious as always. Great brunch! The chef owner is making it his own.
