About bistro sixty
Bistro Sixty is an evolution that started with San Diego Desserts wholesale bakery in 1999, providing desserts to local restaurants, hotels and other venues. We've evolved to a full bistro and wine bar serving dinner 7 nights a week plus Saturday & Sunday brunch. We have an enclosed heated patio with live music 5 nights a week. And of course, we still have amazing desserts.

bistro sixty Ratings and Reviews
Food and service amazing - small dining room is not an appropriate space for a tenor sax! It was really hard to talk with the live music! Will sit in the other dining room next time. Otherwise, Love love love this place! (I say this as a musician myself, but there's a time and a place for loud instruments)
We felt so welcome when we arrived, the food was delicious BUT we waited 90 minutes (1 1/2) hour to get our food. And there were only 2 other tables with customers in the dining area. Additional cooks or ?????? We took friends as we had been so pleased the first time we were there but were very embarrassed and won't 'make that mistake again.
The food was amazing! This was our second time here and we will be back. However, the service was lacking. We had to wait long periods of time for the server to return and my husband gave the server his credit card to pay for the check and twenty minutes later, the server came back and handed us our bill and had forgotten he had our card, so we waited another five minutes for him to return. We have a toddler and we try to get in and out before she melts down. We will be back though, just thought the feedback would help.
There was only one server for too many tables, so we did some waiting. But when they were at the table, they were great!! But the food.... unbelievable! Soooooo good! I went with a group of 8 and every person loved their meals!! The server recommended the best bottle of wine too! ;)
Originally was just a dessert shop and expanded into a full service restaurant. Friendly attentive staff. Dining area looks a little shabby and could use some money spent on it. Can tell owners are making an effort to create good food and desserts are yummy!
This is our neighborhood bistro and we love being able to walk over for dinner or a glass of wine or two. Along with an excellent kitchen, they have one of the most varied and interesting wine lists around, IMO. You'll also often be able to enjoy live music out on the enclosed patio on some evenings.
Service and food were excellent, but the ambiance was decidedly not. It was extremely hot inside, which I guess they were having problems with the AC but I left in a literal pool of sweat. They also had live music that was extremely loud and honestly kind of weird, despite having only 2 groups in the restaurant. We were literally straining our voices to speak over the keyboard and singers.
I just wish I lived closer, but due to the great food and service we make the drive often. David takes such good care of us and of course Mark is always there making sure his customers are happy. Love you guys! Highly recommend this place you will not be disappointed.
We pass through San Diego twice a year and ALWAYS eat here. Food is outstanding, with many creative and sophisticated menu items plus several "gourmet comfort food" options. Stellar wine list. Informal, welcoming, friendly ambience. Another big plus is the enclosed and cozy patio on which well-mannered dogs (like ours) are warmly welcomed. A real "neighborhood gem."
Quite busy the night we went. They have a duo singing on Monday and Wednesday nights who are very good. That is the main reason we go. The bread they serve is plain, not flavorful. Too much dressing on their salads. My fault, as I need to ask for dressing on the side. The restaurant offers 30% off bottles of wine on Monday night. That is a big plus. Service is very friendly, but when crowded, a bit slow .
They never disappoint. We continue to bring new groups of people to Bistro Sixty and everyone has walked away delighted with the amazing food and service. The special this visit was a fish plate and a meatloaf plate and both were amazing! This is hands down our favorite place to eat at. Mark and David thanks for taking good care of us as always.
Enjoyed a meal that included the Smoked Trout Salad (great horseradish dressing), the chicken pot pie (we've ordered this on several visits), and the pan sauteed squid & potatoes was excellent. I like the wine list but find the per glass price is slightly higher than similar places. Prompt and friendly waiter. Enjoyed the Sat early evening live music.
This was our first time here, and we were delighted by what we found. A really great place to hang out, and get close to the band. Wish they hadn't let them go early, though. Food was good but would like to see more vegetarian and non-meat dishes. In all, a very comfortable and cozy place. We'll be back.
We all had the scallops-absolutely perfect! They had a wine special and it was fun to try a new winery. Our waiter was well informed on the menu and wine list. One note: it would be good to know that some tables are tall ones. That was a problem for one of the people in our group as it didn't work very well for his knee. We could have reserved another table had we known this.
