My neighbourhood go to for good food. Brought some first time guests who enjoyed it too. Salmon was perfectly cooked. Cauliflower appetizer is yummy.

Food was excellent and service friendly and attentive. All four of us had the squash soup to start and this was exceptional! Two of the group had flattened Moroccan Chicken, one had Lamb Shank and one had Steelhead. Portions were very generous and everyone gave their meal two thumbs up! It was a snowy Tuesday night, which may have accounted for the sparse crowd and therefore low ambient noise level. We had a table beside a large window and this turned out to be a tad cool. Would definitely return!

Food was ok. Great service, beautiful restaurant in our suburb. Wine list could be better and more affordable but I feel that way about most restaurants (when I see the mark up on alcohol it is hard for me to order wine at a restaurant).

As usual Bistro Rouge did not disappoint. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was cooked and presented to their usual high standard. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Another pleasant evening at Bistro Rouge. We started with an appetizer of shrimps with greens in a lemon butter sauce followed by short ribs and birch bark back ribs. All delicious. Our server was helpful in describing the menu choices and checked in with us during the meal to make sure everything was to our liking.

Beautiful table. Nice atmosphere. Room for improvement in menu availability. Wine not available as ordered, some food items not available as requested. Attentive service. Food is really good if it is available. This was a valentines dinner, and my valentine was not happy with the various substitutions/non availability of various menu items. Would come back though as the food is really good/well presented.

This was not our visit to this restaurant. We had a friendly and excellent service from Nick. Great to see that bistro serves bread with the meal.

Went for dinner with my wife on Friday. It is in the neighborhood and convenient to get to.
We have been several times before. The food is good, with reasonable portions and the service has always been good. It is a popular place so it has been hard to get a nice seat. We had to sit by the entrance one time and the next time, we were in this interior (green and black) room
with no real view of anything. Overall, we like Café Rouge but the décor is a little bland and could use some refreshing in some areas.

Met a friend here for a birthday dinner on a very cold and snowy night. The chef was very accommodating to our very low carb diet, making some simple modifications to make the low carb pork dish truly low carb. For this I was very grateful.

Our server understood that we were in no hurry and allowed us the time to linger. Our wine was also very nice :)

Very good food and a good variety on the menu. I thought the food was tasty and reasonably priced. I recommend the cauliflower fritters as a starter.

Was really impressed with our food; very delicious! I ordered the 12Hr short rib and it was perfect. My husband ordered the steak, medium rare; which came out very rare. The waitress noticed and returned it to the kitchen for a more medium rare steak. Always a bummer, having a meal re-done, as one person still has food and the other person does not:( But still can't complain about the food and the service; it was very good. Was a little disappointed in the wine list though. For a restaurant that boasts local ingredients, there was not one bottle of red wine from BC. (not sure about the whites as we tend to stick to reds) Now, BC is not exactly local but is closer to home than Argentina (not knocking a good Malbec but BC wineries have a lot to offer). And my last comment would be that the ambiance was lacking and I will admit I am an ambiance snob. But it was a bit bright, and cold, rather than cozy. But with all that said if I lived closer I would be frequenting this restaurant regularly because the food was fantastic and the staff were great.

Made a reservation for a group of 12. With this group size, some restaurants seat you in awkward spots but not Bistro Rouge! It felt like the spot was made for our group. The food was wonderful, the food was impeccable, and little special touches like the server buying the birthday girl a cocktail, and adding a candle to her dessert, did not go unnoticed! I'll definitely be back!

The service was amazing. just the right amount of attention without feeling your server is joining you for the meal. From the hostesses to the waitress to the servers, all very pleasant and knowledgeable.

The cauliflower appetizer was excellent. The short rib was pretty good but not great. It had the consistency of overcooked pot roast. My partner's hamburger looked fantastic but was again not exceptional. The Parmesan truffle fries were quite good.

I had higher expectations for the meal. It was satisfactory, but doesn't compare to Mercato's or Cassis Bistro.

Great food coupled with 1/2 price wine before 6 pm, made this is a great choice. The service was excellent, the mushroom soup was amazing , the burger with the truffle fries is to die for (says my wife), while I'll always double down on their mussels & frites. Yumm !! All in all a great bite before heading off to the Flames game .

We booked the restaurant for a small Chistmas company party for 6 of us and it was a fantastic experience.

The Management reached out before our function with a hot appetizers special menu and the group was very impressed with the choices when they arrived.

We ordered off the menu for our entries and all the meals were made with care...I think the Chef adds a special ingredient into the food...his passion!

The Chef took the time to come by to see how the meal was and chat with us.

The serving staff is knowledgeable and attentive...smiles were free. They helped make our evening extra special!

We will be back...thank you for a great night and letting us hang well after the doors were closed.

It was a good evening. Everything was good. Not great just good.
It's an average restaurant value is certainly there, 100 for three of us no alcohol
Service was ok. Can't say anything bad but certainly nothing stood out.

we got a quiet corner, which was ideal to chat. Service was really nice and attentive, giving us heads ups on all, in short they did not have many waiters, but we wanted to talk anyway and spend some time doing so. Hence we were not interested in fast service. We always felt well looked after.
We shared mussels (yum) and then moved to ribs and lamb. The lamb was so tender, it was falling off the bone. I liked the portion size, as for me quality is more important than quantity. Quantity minded people will find them small.
We got a lovely amarone to pair as a recommendation, a real treat.
I will come back.
Thanks Nick for the outstanding service.

Bistro Rouge is my wife and I favorite eating place. We have been going to the restaurant for approx. 5 years now and have enjoyed every outing. The only thing I do not like about the place is the portions are not large enough for my liking. For my wife the portions are perfect. Keep up the good work with awesome food.

The space is well layed out with lots of great corners for groups of 10-20 people and various other corners (the space is cut into angles) for groups of two or four. The east side view looks over the city centre in the distance. The food was very good. Service was excellent.

The food was tasty but scant. We left feeling hungry and with a relatively large bill.
Took 45 minutes from time of ordering to receive our meals. By then our wine was finished. Had they provided some modest and complimentary item in the interim, i.e. a bread basket, the experience might have felt less like a fast.
