Bistro Rollin closed this past Spring. A shame, because it was a terrific place to eat.
Wish I learned of Bistro Rollin sooner. The waiter was great and I sensed a family feel among the wait staff and the patrons.
Would've loved to visit again. I wish the owners and staff much success!
So sorry they're closing after dinner Mother's Day. Have eaten many great meals over the past seven years. But glad Barbara and Arthur Bratone are getting another chance to relax, at least for a while. Also happy that chef Eric Mauro is staying in the space to re-open as an Italian steakhouse. He's a shining star in Westchester, and I hope he succeeds in his new endeavor.
As always, continues to be one of the better restaurants in Pelham. I am sorry to hear that it will be closing and reopening as an Italian restaurant under new ownership. Farewell!
Mother's Day was the last for Bistro Rollin, new owners are taking over, hope they can offer the same great food.
This is our go-to place for dinner, a special occasion or a place to entertain friends and family. The food is wonderful and the owners and staff make everyone feel like their family. Sometimes we're even called by name from waiters who aren't even waiting on us that day! Truly a gem
I had high hopes for Bistro Rollins. A fellow Foodie highly recommended it but I left less than impressed.
First off, this was Saturday night and I made a reservation for four. I expected to first enjoy a drink at the bar but no such luck.
When we arrived, a woman, pacing and talking on the phone, perhaps the owner?, quickly announced that our friends were already seated and escorted us to the WORST table, at the very back of the restaurant. Yes, I should have objected but she scurried away. Did I mention that the restaurant was empty? What I saw of the place, looked French country charming, but my view consisted of staring at an ugly back wall, with two doors embossed with large private signs. To make it worse, the back room never filled up. To make it even worse, shortly after we were seated, a man was seated at the equally awful table across from ours but the woman/owner/maitre de thought better and moved this four top to a better table. Maybe they were locals? A family of four soon got the second worst table in the place.
Drinks rate an excellent, Served cold and well mixed.
Bread was pathetic. If you put out a bread basket, the quality better be good.
Service was inattentive.
Food was inconsistent.
To be fair, my fellow diners enjoyed their meals. I ordered salmon. I get it, not very imaginative but that's what I had a hankering for, cooked medium rare. Any self respecting restaurant ought to have this dish down cold. I joked with the waiter to please make sure that the fish was not overcooked. The salmon arrived overcooked to a fault. Let's face it, if you're paying $30 for a simple salmon dish, it better come out cooked perfectly. I had to flag down a different waiter to get my meal replaced.
It's hard to enjoy your dinner when everyone else has already finished. Naturally no apology, but I didn't expect it. The initial greeting set the tone. I'd be hard pressed to return. After all first impressions count.
This wonderful wonderful restaurant is closing!!! It is one of the few best French Bistros in and around NY. It has been a gem and consistently excellent. It will be missed so , so , so much!
My family and I have so enjoyed dinning at Bistro Rollin for many years. We are so sorry it is closing. The food continues to be great but the service is slipping a bit maybe because the end is near. It is still worth a final trip.
Good food and good service. A very friendly welcoming staff. Reasonably priced wines.
As usual, our meals were wonderful. They were very generous and accommodating and the service was excellent. This is one of my favorites and definitely a go to restaurant for us.
Once again a wine dinner hit by the combination of Blue Dog Wines with the cuisine of Bistro Rollin. One white, and 3 reds accompanied by delicious seasonal dishes and an unexpected bonus of port to go with dessert! Highly recommended.
The food was absolutely delicious from the apps to dessert. The service was excellent and the owners so personable. Wonderful neighborhood restaurant.
Great food and great service! We had an awesome evening!!
French bistro in lower Westchester. Cute, charming place with friendly and attentive staff. Have been 2x in the past 2 weeks. Went once with a group of friends, it was so good, that I went the following with other friends. I recommend the flatbread and spaghetti carbonara for appetizers, roast chicken, mussels or burger for dinner. For dessert - they all seemed fantastic.
nice place. great food.but waited almost half hour to get first round of drinks.
service erratic, unpolished
When we entered the restaurant, there was no one to greet and seat us; not a waiter or host in sight. The lights in the dining room were not turned on except for the chandelier. It wasn't until a new party was seated and complained about the lighting, that the waiter did anything about turning up the lights.
We started out with oysters, which were tasteless. This was very unusual since the oysters have always been very good. I had swordfish which was excellent. The tartare was also very good.
Service was poor. I had to ask twice for anything I wanted or needed. There were errors on the check and that also took two tries to get correct.
It was Restaurant Week and there was not enough staff. If this had been my first visit to this restaurant, I probably would not return; not because of the food but because of the poor service.
Someone said we should try this restaurant and when I looked it up the menu looked very interesting, not the case when I looked at the real menu. So the place it's pretty packed, I was happy to get a bistro high chair table by the window, away from the crowd.
The food is ok, the Bibb lettuce salad had too much fried onion, the frisée salad my husband had was much better, I liked that dressing. Escargot is usually prepared with garlic, not here. Onions or shallots, I picked the wrong dish again.
The fish was good, potatoes not, boiled earlier in the day warmed up for dinner, not good.
Steak was good, served with fries, we cleaned them up, complimented both of our dishes.
Did not find a chocolate dessert that i would enjoy, oh well
Martinis were good
We recently enjoyed a fantastic TGIF dinner with a group of 10 friends. The service, food and setting was a perfect way to end everyone's busy week. The waitstaff was great and the food, as always, was wonderful. A good time was had by all!
Very fine lunch. Excellent service. Will be back!
Perfect wine dinner. Professional and collegial. Delicious food and wine.
The owners Bistro Rollin have finally introduced to Westchester a true French bistro!!
The dishes remind me of Fine New York City and and Paris bistros we have
visited --- But at reasonable Prices!!
Fine tasting wines, carefully selected and served at affordable Prices.
Food is cooked & presented in a delicious eye appealling manner that that
starts my taste buds juices flowing before I pick up my fork!
I have so many favorites on the menu-How do I narrow down to one favorite dish-
-a very difficult task!!

Do Not Miss It--- Bobarazzi
The food is wonderful and the portion sizes just right. Very European . I will definitely go back!
The food was fantastic with very friendly service.
Service was caring and attentive...Bourbon more than ample...we all had an excellent meal...
We had asked Chef Eric for some special dishes which he did for us. He sent out some pork belly served with micro greens and lime and a delicious sauce which I can't remember what it was made of but it tasted citrusy to me.
We had diver scallops and filet mignon, both made perfectly. Chef served both over sweet potato with sautéed spinach and tiny potatoes with a black truffle sauce. Absolutely wonderful!
Seemed like just another night for all the employees - nuttin special - the food was decent - one of our guests loved her salad and another said his cassoulet was one of the weaker versions he's had. The recommended wine was decent value.
The waiters kept dropping large piles of dishes behind us - must have happened 3 times - I can get that ambiance at a diner....they need to keep the food and service a bit tighter....
I had the octopus salad. It was superb! The octopus was perfectly made, not at all hard or chewy. Then I had mussels in Thai curry sauce with fries. There was a huge amount of mussels that were very good. I like to take them out of the shells and let them soak in the sauce to soak up the Thai curry sauce. Delicious! The fries were well made, crisp and perfectly salted. I enjoyed every one.
The other person with me had oysters which were large and very good. This was followed by some salmon tartare which she also enjoyed.
Two constants ; 1) the food is very good and 2) the service is inattentive.
Went on a Saturday nite. Had a table of five. Everyone enjoyed the food and drinks but service was slow and not attentive. Water glasses didn't get refilled, desert delivered with no silverware, and we would have ordered more cocktails but waiter was never around! We enjoyed ourselves but I would not suggest this restaurant if you are in a hurry or are an impatient diner!
Bistro Rollin never disappoints. In the summer months, they have the most inviting outdoor seating anywhere in Southern Westchester. In the winter, the restaurant is warm and toasty inside. Always features great service. Recently, my wife and I had dinner at Bistro Rollin and were pleasantly surprised to see the addition of several vegetarian entrees and appetizers to the menu. I was able to have my flank steak cooked to perfection while my wife had a delicious and creative vegetarian meal. We really appreciate the focus on quality and service that we always find at Bistro Rollin, and the hospitality of the owners is unmatched. This is the single restaurant in Southern Westchester County that does not leave us longing for our old Manhattan restaurant haunts. Highly recommended, and will be returning again and again.
This is a lovely French Bistro with very good food. But the service does not match the quality of the food. The server was polite but inattentive. Drink order not taken until food was ordered. Not sure if it was an off night but they can do better.
We've enjoyed this Pelham Bistro on many occasions, including outdoor lunches and dinner-time meals in the relaxing indoor dining room. Food has been consistently good, offering many customary French dishes (escargots to Chicken), and enticing specials. During our last meal the owner engaged us in an enjoyable conversation, adding to the overall excellent service. And, the ambiance is comforting, aided by knowing neighbor's are enjoying their time at this special place. The only concern is the price, but even here there are opportunities to be reasonable, including half-carafes of excellent wine.
Despite the 10:30 pm reservation (arrived on time), was turned away. Told the close at 10:00. Tried to cancel and rebook another place on Open Table, but software wouldn't cancel.
I have met my good friend at Bistro Rollin for lunch twice and it has been a great experience each time. Quiet atmosphere and they let us stay as long as we want to catch up. They offer a very nice Prix Fixe menu and the service is wonderful. We will definitely meet here again.
We visited on New Year's Eve so maybe that was the issue. I thought the food and the service was just okay. Nothing special. After all the good reviews I had read I was hoping for something more. I may go back at another time and try the bar.
Their Bananas Foster French Toast and bacon wrapped sausage were decadent! The omelets were very tasty. French Press coffee, outrageous. The service was well done!
The restaurant was filled to capacity but not as noisy as one might expect. Our group thoroughly enjoyed our meal. One of us chose to have 2 appetizers; scallops and halibut cerviche. One of us had the eggplant timbal & lamb bolognese. The appetizers were a hit. The entree was trout which was tender and flaky. Delicious! For desert we had the bread pudding and the plum and orange zest crumble. Both were thoroughly enjoyed.
Service could have been better. More servers would have improved the service.
Every time I come, it is like going to a friend's home for dinner, that is, if your friend is also a gourmet chef. The welcome is always warm, the food always delicious, the service always fine and the whole package is just right.
We went to Burgundy Wine Tasting Dinner at Bistro on December 8th, 2015. It was excellent. Wines and courses were well paired and delicious. The Burgundy expert was knowledgable and friendly. We look forward the their next Wine Tasting Dinner
