Very cold evening and sat us next to windows on the covered porch area...there were plenty of open tables away from windows. Should only use those tables as last option, fill in middle areas first . It was so cold and drafty, took away from the otherwise superb experience.

A really great dining experience! I've been for both lunch and dinner previously, but never brunch. Everyone at our table was very happy with what they had to eat.

My husband and I recently had brunch at Bistro Roca. The food and service were both excellent. We will definitely dine here again!

Always have been a fan of bistro, not this time. It was a negative experience from beginning to end. We are sad they have been so inconsistent, because the ambience is great. They need to make some changes and quickly . We got there special steak, which is always delicious. When he came to us this time it was 80% fat, and the server basically ignored the fact that we were unhappy

My husband and I ate here to celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary. The restaurant was recommended by our hotel. We made reservations and when we arrived it was very busy but they had saved us a cozy booth near the fireplace. I loved everything about the restaurant but was very disappointed with my entre choice. I told the waitress I was debating on the Lobster Mac and Cheese or the Crab Carbonara with Pork Belly. The waitress highly recommended the Carbonara so I decided to try it. My husband ordered the steak and loved it. The steak was a good size and was delicious. The Carbonara was not what I was expecting for $28. The portion of the pasta was very small with very little pork belly and too much edamame. It definitely would not have filled up my husband and even left me still hungry. It tasted just ok. It was not delicious like I had hoped. We finished with a yummy dessert of a warm pecan brownie. If we ever try this restaurant again I would definitely order something different.

Love the Décor. The waiter was very helpful and checked on us. The food was outstanding.
A very nice evening. The only concerning matter was the lack of parking. My husband had to drop us off and then meet us when a spot opened up.

I always like coming here and like that they pay attention to the notes in the reservation. I always need to request a quieter location because my husband has severe hearing issues. Not every restaurant reads the notes but Roco Bistro always pays attention to it. Both of us ordered flatbread w/salad but different ones. We were both pleased with our choices. Our waiter (listed as Capps H on our receipt) was very attentive, informative and nice.

This review is based on the latter of our 2 consecutive dining experiences. The first was on New Year's Eve for lunch and the service and food was very good. We loved the ambiance so much the first time that we decided to go there again on New Year's Day for lunch. What a disappointment!! The service was absolutely terrible. The hostess was unfriendly and unaccommodating. We were seated on the back porch where it was very chilly. It took over 15 min to order drinks and over 25 min to receive all drinks. Two entree items on the menu were 86'd, as well as 2 children's menu items and the beer my husband ordered. When food finally came out, a black hair accompanied my macerated pickle and it took 10 minutes for ketchup. I could go on and on but I'll stop here. Server was very apologetic but seriously, just close down for New Year's Day!!! Overall, if I could make one point, I felt the staff was very much on the rude side.

We love it here! The menu changes regularly so there is always something new and delicious to try. They do run out of items occasionally on busy nights but that is to be expected. Everything is always cooked perfectly as ordered.

Food was excellent as always. Have been coming here for years. However our waiter was absolutely terrible. If you go and get Zack as your waiter ask for someone else or you will be disappointed in the service.

The service was unbelievably bad, and no one in he place seemed to care, and in fact we’re quite an arrogant group. If you get Zach as your server, leave immediately. Also had a quarter mile walk from where we had to park in the cold and icy conditions

So we have a vacation home in the area and come to Blowing Rock often. Bistro Rock has always been on our favorite list and we normally frequent it when in town. Obviously our experience had been favorable until last night. We had a reservation and the restaurant was busy. We were sat at a booth while my husband was out for 10 Minutes looking for a parking space. The booth seat was not close to the table and I literally had to sit on the edge of the seat to reach the table. I asked the hostess if we could be moved to a two top (3 empty two tops were observed). She said no they were already reserved. What?!?? I reserved on open table and have never seen a space to reserve a two top. She was very unwilling to sit us there and while my husband and I sat at the booth, two of those tables remained empty! This unfortunately will be our last visit to bistro roca.

We had a great time! Our group was there for the NYE weekend and the accommodation and service was excellent. We had a big crowd and they were able to sit us close together, as you could tell it was peak season for them. Great food! Ramen Noodle pot was perfect for our cold snowy day :)

Our second time here, and it’s amazing! The muscles in white wine sauce and lamb baby back ribs are great starters! The entree options aren’t terribly over priced, but the best dish is the lobster Mac and cheese! A must try!

After skiing all day, it was nice to go here and have a warm cozy meal with our family. It's nice that it's off the beaten path of Blowing Rock but still close to everything. It has a warm rustic feel and great food with expensive and less expensive options.

Love this place for Dinner, nice rustic feel with a cozy fireplace and bar.
(Lunch is a good, but not the same menu as dinner. Lunch menu is underwhelming. Burgers, sandwiches, flatbreads) .
Dinner menu has a good variety..appetizers and the fish entrees never disappoint; (this time I had the daily special Grouper and my BF has the Salmon).
Bistro Roca also has creative beef, lamb and game meats entrees too..all with amazing sauces.
Both times we have ordered desserts (semifreddo and carrot cake) they were just “so-so”.
Semifreddo lacked flavor and carrot cake piece was a small (cold) square of cake with a dollop or whipped topping...grocery store purchased carrot cake warmed in the microwave would have been better....dessert is a disappointment after an amazing entree).

We will return for dinner, as the service, appetizers and entrees are always great...just go someplace else for dessert.

Apps ordered: Figs and calamari were very good
Cocktail: Gin with Elderberry was very good
Kids meal: mac and cheese with fries (a derivative of curly fries) was very good
Main entree: carbonara -(I haven’t had true Italian carbonara, but this tasted great)
Dessert: pecan pie with vanilla ice cream scoop was very good (the pie was warm which makes it so much better)
A good experience and I would recommend it. It’s $$$ but very consistently good and good quality.

My first visit was amazing. Superb service. Delicious and creative food. I had the salmon, med rare and my mom had the steak, rare. We had the cheese for appetizer. Both of us were above and beyond pleased. I wish I remembered my servers name, because he put the beginning and finishing touches on everything. He was awesome. I will be back!
