Tempura came out very cold, but was replaced promptly. French onion soup was mediocre at best and iced tea was from a powdered mix. The duck legs were good though. Good kids menu. The service was good. Desert was amazing.
Awesome meal. Great service. Highly recommended.
Anniversaire
They were very nice but I expected more. It was good the food but not the best of my vacation. The service was efficient but the place looked like a coffee shop.
Elk and boar where very good. Roasted potatoes very under cooked unacceptable.
Thanksgiving long weekend brunch with a magnificent view of the fall foliage. Reasonably priced with a good selection of food items.
Beaucoup trop bruillant.
Loves that nouveau cuisine nordik.
Healthy fresh products witz comtemporay presentation.
Interesting Wine list witz reasonable pricing
We were party of four adulte and greatly enjoyed the warm and relaxed decor.
Food choices great for all from tasty bison and salmon tartare to choice of local game meat,
duck, seafood and even vegan.
Attentive service with competent description of servings.
Good wine selection at reasonable prices
The best restaurant in the area for special Bistro experience.
The service was excellent , but food On December 31 was not good as we expected , it was different variety but the taste was not really good .
The decorating was according.
Tried breakfast and dinner. Fast service in the morning, but they use ingredients from the local SuperC I guess...
Dinner was pricy, way too pricy for the overall experience. Noise comming from lobby and some "party room" nearby. Just like the breakfast, the dinner used cheap ingredients from local groceries store. Maybe we had bad luck once, but there is no "next time"...
While on holiday in Beaupre we picked up some tourist propaganda at a restaurant and found a coupon for Bistro Nordik. A quick look at the website had us make a reservation. We were not disappointed. Unusual menu focusing on local foods. Liked almost all we were served, especially the deserts. Excellent service. Recommended. Some reviews mention high noise level from after ski crowd; we went in summer (low season) and there were only 5 tables occupied. Quiet and pleasant atmosphere for us.
Great location facing the ski hill. Very interesting nouvelle cuisine nordique.
Tried the Omega plate as apetizer; very tasty marinated maquereau with local shrimp.
As main course, tried the steak; it was perfectily lightly cooked.
My guest hard the steak tartare and the fish plate with the local omble and trout;
both very well presented and very tasty.
Ambiance with fireplace and great view of the montain fully lighted with night skiing.
Menu items, including prices, promise fine dining experience. Unfortunately, we would rate low in terms of value and general food experience. While my wife's beef and kid's fries were ok, the rest including my 30+$ venison and 10$ sunday were not at all up to par. Venison simply did not have good mouthfeel with minimal taste. And in case you are wondering, yes, it was only a run of the mill sunday, although served in some fancy dish. For price, I hope they at least make their own ice cream, although texture and density suggests commercially mixed rather then home-made (but could be wrong...). Overall, not worth price paid but luckily we were on vacation and in good moods, so we just chocked it up to lesson-learned.
We tried the fabulous nouvelle cuisine nordique based on healthy local products prepared with creativity, very tasty with
limited mix of flavors. Great atmosphere with fire place, cosey with a great view of the night skiing on mountain.
Menu also had a choice of more general cuisine but always with a focus on healthy local products.
I enjoyed the fresh and smoked salmon tartare and the venison médaillon, my wife had the Omega platter with Angus beef.
All was well presented and tasty, service was very helpfull. Good wine selection especially for french and spanish.
Had been here a few years ago and enjoyed. This time, not so much. General impression is that they are trying too hard to be haute cuisine. They don't pull it off. Interesting menu, but poor execution. Turnip velouté was cool (lukewarm at best), as were other dishes. Decor is cool, and energetic atmosphere, but unfortunately, the food doesn't come
Close to what it could. Feels like a hotel, trying to be small, boutique resto - they do not succeed. Another small, but still irritating practice was removing used cutlery from appetizer dishes and leaving on table for main course. A serious restaurant brings new cutlery.
While to food was fantastic the noise level was off the chart, We left just after have of the meal was served due to sore throats due to yelling back and forth to carry on a conversation at the table. The restaurant is next to the lobby of the hotel and the party going on there was to much to enjoy the full night.
The tasting menu needed to be served a bit faster also.
If you're staying at the Mont Sainte Anne Hotel or the Tourist Village, this is a good place to eat out if you don't feel like driving to Quebec City. We were there on Christmas Day in the evening and ordered from the fixed price menu. The food was brought out very quickly considering the place was packed. Our main dishes ( bison medallion and quail ) were good. Above average for hotel restaurants I would say. Overall it was a good experience. Would return.
Nice restaurant. Had venison which was quite good. But we had selected it for a special occasion, and didn't really appreciate how integrated it was with the ski lodge. So that meant the apreis ski scene in lobby. So a great addition to those visitors staying in those condos and doing the ski holiday, but not a destination restaurant for others.
Fantastic food and friendly service. We ate here twice this weekend (Friday and sunday) and were particularly impressed that the table d'hote was completely different on the two nights, so the chefs are clearly interested in what they are doing and push their boundaries. Superb, high-end dining at reasonable prices in an extremely comfortable atmosphere. The chairs alone were so comfortable, it made the experience worthwhile after a day of skiing. Better quality than any place in Stowe, VT and at better prices. Would definitely come back whenever we get the chance.
