of comfort food they serve down south. This style of food is the inspiration behind some of the dishes we serve at Nolah

My second time and I was not disappointed. Space is tight, but the food makes up for that. Wonderfully plated comfort food with friendly service. We'll definitely go back with friends.
What a wonderful evening out at Nolah for a friend’s bday. I had never been to this gem of a restaurant but had heard great reviews. Nolah loved up to those reviews and more. Just entering the restaurant felt special, it was so warm and inviting on a cold January evening. The service was friendly, as well as professional. And the food.. from the crab cakes to beignets and everything in between (we had scallops and short ribs) the food was perfect. It tasted exactly like home cooking, but with a polished presentation that reminded you that you were actually in a restaurant. This was our first time but not our last! We are lucky to have this fantastic restaurant all to ourselves in the West Island, it’s exactly what we need as an alternative to so many chain restaurants. Bravo Nolah, you knocked it out of the park!
Our 3rd Sunday brunch with my family and as usual all of us were thoroughly satisfied. The brunch menu is creative, ample amount of food on the plate and above all else scrumptious.
i was always curious about trying out this place. Went on date night with my husband and the food was great. Both my husband and I are watching what we eat, I’m on Keto and my husband has to watch his cholesterol. We both found a perfect plate and it was amazing!!!! Definitely will go again. Service was also great.
Bistro Nolah is the best restaurant in the West Island! The service, the food, the drinks...all amazing.
Toujours constant en terme de goût et qualité! Ça vaut le détour.
A little crowded and noisy, but the food is out of this world and the service is fantastic!!
Just amazing! We were 4. Ordered different starters and main dishes. Eveything was just perfect. The salmon ceviche was way better than anything I’ve had before. The duck confit was great, delicious and cooked to perfection. Friends had tomatoe soup and said it was great. Also had the blackened porc and it was plain delicious! Will definitely be back....
We were very disappointed as everytime we have been there we always adore the hushpuppies. This time, we were served meatballs. They were ok but 2 minutes after being served, the table next to us were served hushpuppies. I asked the waitress if we could get one for my girlfriend as she adores them and i was told you got the last meatballs and now we are serving hushpuppies. If we wanted one we would have to order the dish with five. I would have hoped for a little understanding and charge me for one since you give them away for free. I must admit i was a surprised by the answer. Had i been given a choice i would have waited 2 more minutes to get hushpuppies. I bought the dish of 5 to apease my girlfriend but i must admit it ruined the evening being treated so curtly. I wasnt looking for a freebie but charging us for one would have been a nice gesture.
Un coup de coeur pour ke resto. Tres bon resto pour petit groupe. Sinon pas beaucoup de place. La nourriture etait tres tres bonne. Vos la peine d'y aller.
I found that the sweet potato overpowered some of the meals.
Delicious food and great service. We have already recommended it to friends and are planning to be back!
Outstanding food, some of the best in Montreal. My only issue with this restaurant is constantly being brushed up against by other diners and staff throughout the entire meal. It’s a tiny restaurant and it’s tough to truly enjoy the chef’s brilliant efforts with a waiter’s behind in your face the entire night... I’m still a regular though. The food is that good!
The food and service was excellent. I highly recommend Bistro Nolah. It is a hidden gem on the west island. The food is beautifully plated and delicious. It is authentic and there is something for everyones taste. Don't miss out on the experience. I certainly won't.
As always, our experience was amazing. Everything was perfect and highly recommend this restaurant.
Had a wonderful time on our first visit. Birthday celebration for brunch.
Love this place and it's menu. First time they fir brunch and there are so many nice looking options. Fried chicken and french toast was delicious.
The food is always outstanding, service is top notch!
Wish that all the servers would provide detailed descriptions of the specials of the day - found myself eavesdropping while one server was describing the specials whereas our server just read the blackboard out loud.
Excellent as usual , we are regular at Nolah. Great food, great ambiance , we were never disappointed.
Wonderful location for a different type of Sunday brunch!! Nice selection of items to try! Good food and service!!
One of our favorite places to eat.
my friend and i used to always come to bistro nolah, we used to love this little spot in the west island. Unfortunately this time, the mac and cheese was all cheese, we felt like we were eating spoonfuls of cheese and sauce, we did not enjoy it as much as we used to. the caramel sauce for the beignets was burnt, and the dough tasted like it was dried up and then fried. needless to say, we were really disappointed.
One of the best restaurants in Montreal period. Worth the drive for anywhere. Reserve in advance.
Bistro Nolah never disappoints, I have been on several occasions with different friends to have them try and I have not ever been let down. The only thing I must advise is bring your appetite.
It was so amazing! I've been wanting to go there for so long, and everything was perfect!
Excellent food and excellent service; going back for sure
Nolah delivered as promised. The service was outstanding, very knowledgeable and delightful wait staff. The food was excellent, and served perfectly timed. The Sommelier is a gem and wonderful to have on hand. Our only minor issue was having to wait 15 minutes for our table. We arrived on time, and were told when we made the reservations, there was a hard 2 hour window to accommodate next seatings. As it's a small venue to begin with, we were jammed together at the door waiting so it wasn't ideal. Apart from that though, this truly is a fantastic treasure on the West Island. Highly recommend!
This was our second time visiting Bistro Nolah. We brought two other couples with us this time. Everyone loved the food. This restaurant is definitely a treat in the West Island. You will not find this kind of food just anywhere. My favorite meal is still the jambalaya.
The food was mediocre, I was expecting more based on the Google reviews.
I loved this place. Conveniently located on the West Island. Great food,
ambiance and interesting drinks.
Food was very good though the menu offered a limited number of choices. We tried a variety of dishes: crab cakes were good, shrimp creole very good, mac n cheese was decadent and the pan seared scallops were also very good. Overall service was very good as well as the food was very good. I didn't rate it a 5 as it was not one of those memorable experiences; will definitely go back
We really enjoyed our dinner at Nolah. It had a nice vibe; a mix of couples and small groups of friends. The lighting is nice and low so gives a great ambiance. The chalkboard items enhance the regular menu. Wine by the glass is thoughtfully chosen.
The food was good; nicely presented and tasty. However, I felt that the crab cakes were mostly filler rather than crab, which was disappointing for the price. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our meals. We will be back but won’t order the crab cakes!
Have been here a bunch of times! We always try something new and never disappoints. Food is delicious, drinks are original and wine list is great. Servers are passionate are location is cozy. We love it!
Authentic Cajun, creole Louisiana classics... the gumbos & jambalaya’s are delicious prepared. Very good fried chicken & perfectly done duck legs. Leave room for the bread pudding with Jack Daniel caramel sauce ...
Great food! My wife and I had a great time there for our anniversary. We will definitely be back!
J’ai simplement adoré mon expérience! Le pain perdu était simplement superbe !!!!
Great decor, complete with twinkle lights, and a nice romantic ambiance, delicious food, perfectly curated Southern menu, exceptional service, (it was the first time I actually paid attention when the server explained the menu to us at a restaurant, he made us want to try everything on the menu!), we were even brought a delicious appetizer to try as "compliments of the chef", one of the best experiences I've had at a restaurant in Montreal :)
Awesome restaurant, never fails to impress! The shrimp and grits are amazing!
Always spot in with every dish! Love that this is no ordinary brunch spot! My mouth’s happy place :)
Haven’t returned in a while so we decided to have brunch. We arrived and were seated immediately. Waitress seemed to be off today not the usual great service... anyways we finally had heard the fail sir ISIS after her 3rd visit to us after bringing us water the first time then coffee the second time then our drink order the 3rd time ugh .... we order the casserole and also the grits with chorizo. Both plates were yummy. Bus boy was very attentive and had brought us our requests ie more coffees and salt/pepper and also hot sauce. As it become more crowded and not much space to walk thru we had waited quite a bit fir water and coffee refills.
Besides these hiccups all was good.
