Prompt and cheerful service from Sunny, our server. The tuna tartare and the scallops were outstanding. The desserts were solid but uninspired and the cappuccino was lukewarm. A second attempt at producing hot milk got closer to the target temp, but still outside the hot range. They did a great job with appetizers and main dishes. The apple tart and flourless chocolate cake were tasty, but they did not merit discussion after leaving the restaurant.
The food was delicious and the service was great- although it was a little loud I have yet to find a place that is quiet.
Sadly Atlanta does not have that many restaurants that are of the caliber of Bistro Niko.
It would be nice to think that restaurateurs in this city aimed for the (Michelin) stars that identified a great dining experience instead of copy cat menus and turnover.
Good place for a business lunch if you make a reservation. We were seated on the outside edge a little way from the central dining room so it was easy to speak. The dining room seemed a little more bustling and the noise level was a little higher there.
The food was good, although it was not served as hot as I would like. The scallops were delicious, but the sauce not very flavorful.
I won’t be too disappointed to not go again.
My husband and I ate at Bistri Niko for our anniversary and were thoroughly satisfied with our entire dining experience. It was flawless and we look forward to our next meal there!
Really really good!!
Our anniversary was wonderful with our dining experience. The food was wonderful, the waiter was excellent and we were greeted with a “Happy Anniversary” when we arrived. Was a little surprised that we didn’t have a little better seat, not one that was right in front and that the waiter didn’t acknowledge our anniversary in any way, but his suggestions were excellent and the food was so good!
Liked the food but the noise level made it difficult to have a conversation.
Took some clients to Bistro Niko and had a fantastic meal. Two guests stated it was the best tasting lunch they’ve had in years. Excellent ambiance and high quality food.
We are from out of town and always try to include a meal here. This time it was so good we visited two nights in a row. We had appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts and everything was delicious. An amazing by-the-glass wine list and impeccable service rounded out our experience.
We had a business lunch. Good service and great tasty food as always!
I really enjoyed the ambiance & the food. Our service was terrific and the food came out quickly and was delicious. I told my wife we need to go for dinner.
Wonderful pork belly with duck fat fried potato cubes with mustard sauce, and a light arugula side salad....absolutely killer dish!
Wife’s quiche was delicious, and we enjoyed our favorite high-top table in the bar for this Sunday brunch meal.
One of our most favorite French restaurants...always looking for an excuse to return.
One of the most excellent brunch options in Atlanta:)
Chose this restaurant based on the location & it was a delightful surprise! Fabulous menu selection & live jazz. Go early if you can, the room gets very loud!
First our table wasn't ready, so we went to the bar and ordered two glasses of Pinot Noir. When it was served, the glasses were still wet inside and out, no attempt was made at drying them. When we were seated at our table my bread plate was also wet. First we ordered the crab cake to split as an appetizer. At least it was made out of large chunks of crab, other than that, it barely held together and had a watery goo between the lumps and hadn't been browned on either side, only slightly warmed. One of my favorite dishes is normally bouillabaisse, so I ordered it. What a mistake, it had some kind of thick reddish sauce instead of a broth and had no taste, especially no saffron or leeks. Instead it had 2 shrimp, 3 small scallops (I think), 2 small pieces of fish and a lot of potatoes. There were no clams, mussels or oysters in it. I ate a little and sent it back. My wife ordered the trout amandine. The trout looked more like it was steamed, the almonds were underneath the trout, a very odd presentation, but she liked it okay. For dessert we ordered a vanilla crème brulee. It had a very rough surface, indicating it might have been in the refrigerator quite a while before they used the torch. The most disappointing thing with the crème brulee was there was no vanilla taste and absolutely no trace of vanilla bean. The manager came by to apologize and did remove the bouillabaisse from our bill. At least the Volnay was an excellent French Pinot Noir.
First impression when entering the restaurant for Saturday evening dinner with my wife was that it was a well maintained busy spot with friendly hostesses and a good vibe. Pretty much in line with most restaurants at this price point. The menu had a great variety of French authentic dishes, some steak/meat and fish items. Having been to France quite some times, I got all excited and had a hard time making a choice. We ended up having escargots, foie gras and crispy duck to start with and scallops and sea bass as our main dishes. Foie gras was made just right, it's so easy to mess that up, and overall the food was very good and I would certainly recommend it if you want to taste a bit of real French cuisine. In terms of the atmosphere in the restaurant, it was a very diverse mixture of older and younger guests, from different backgrounds certainly not a specific type of crowd , which is something I always enjoy. I will go here again.
A great experience. Food was outstanding and the wait staff excellent. It was a bit noisy when we arrived and the restaurant was full; but less so as the evening went on.
Please add and bake parmesan cheese on on escargot. That cheese makes a huge difference. Other than that the food and restaurant was wonderful. Thank you.
Outstanding French dining. We had and would reccomend the mussels, foi gras, escargot, short rib bourguignon, osso bucco shepard's pie, and cassoulet. Everything was well prepared and the service was outstanding. Highly reccomended as a cook and food snob.
Very nice, will come back. Good range of entrees. You can get dressed up and feel like you are not out of place.
We dined at Bistro Niko for my husband's birthday (late lunch/early dinner) and because I had received an email that soft shell crabs were back. The email did not say if the crabs were available only for dinner, but Joe, our wait person, told us the new shipment of crabs had not yet been cleaned and prepared (after we arrived around 4 p.m.). Joe did a great job negotiating with the chef to get us the crab appetizer as we enjoyed a bottle of wine with French pizza appetizers of half of a French tart (pizza) and salad. It was getting closer to 5 p.m. when the crab was finally available. We enjoyed the soft shell crab, but it could have used some Asian sauce to pump up the taste. We love Bistro Niko because the food is always consistently delicious, the prices are more reasonable than other restaurants in the Buckhead Life Group, and we enjoy the vouvray chenin blanc that is on the wine menu. The manager and Joe were very attentive and made sure we were satisfied with everything, including our receiving the soft shell crab toward the end of our meal. The birthday dessert that my husband and I shared was also delicious. Thanks to Bistro Niko for another memorable dining experience.
One of our favorite dinner spots. Great food and service!!!
Excellent food. Put us in the "quieter" room, but was still somewhat loud. Will come back for sure.
Excellent food! Nice atmosphere. However, if you want a more quiet dinner, request seating in the salon. The main dining room is beautiful but the high ceilings mean it is a little noisy. Highly recommend
As always - great food and great service - we ate on the patio and always enjoy the view of Peachtree
Bistro Niko is a special restaurant in the heart of Buckhead. The food is delicious and the wine list and cocktails are extensive and creative. The staff was friendly and knowledge. The energy level is high but it’s not so loud you can’t have a conversation.
The food was delicious and fulfilling. There was a small issue with under cooked potatoes but it was immediately fixed and the replacement potatoes were extremely tasty. The drinks were very good value for the price. The dessert was tremendous! Orange sorbet (it should be called tangerine because of the tartness) was my favorite. The service was excellent and two separate managers, I assume, checked on us and were very kind. We will definitely dine again at Bistro Niko.
Nico Bistro was as expected.
I tried the skate wings this time. Very good, almost, but not quite as good as the same dish at Atlanta Fish Mkt. Wife had the haddock and was very pleased with it.
The small dining room on the right as you enter is not quite as noisy as the main dining room, but still pretty noisy.
We had a great dinner. Drove down from OTP and stopped here before going on to the Fox for a show. Easy parking valet $2 to start. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Food was great. Only regret is we didn’t have room for dessert. We will be back.
Always great food and service the scallops were decadent, will remain our very favorite restaurant
Excellent dining experience. Food is wonderful. Beautiful restaurant atmosphere.
Went with my wife and friends for her birthday all first timers and was really disappointed on how bland our food was no one in our party was happy with what they picked. Dont like to make a big deal about it but we left disappointed,i raved about how it had good reviews.. i dont think i will ever be back again
One of our favorite places when we are in Atlanta. We recommend it for any occasion
We had the mussels - they were excellent. They have a nice selection of fish as well as other options - great menu and reasonable prices. I would recommend to friends. Valet Parking can be tricky if you do not enter the correct area - suggest better signage pointing to Bistro Valet parking from other side of parking garage.
Great food and service. A little loud, but worth the noise.
An excellent restaurant:

- Good selection of wines

I definitely, strongly, recommend!
Good food with great service. Took wife here for a birthday lunch. Very Good French options.
