Bistro Niko Ratings and Reviews
This was the tale of two restaurants - the food was outstanding but the service was very disappointing. I should have known that we were in for a marathon when it took 25 minutes to get a pre-dinner beverage. Our waiter, Cody, was very helpful in recommending excellent selections (oysters, escargot, duck, steak and coq au vin) and attentive but the support from the bar and back of the house was either asleep or grossly under staffed. Cody shared our feedback with a manager who delivered our post dinner beverages and apologized for the delays but then it took 15 minutes to get my credit card run. All in 2 hours and 40 minutes....
One of our favorites, unfortunately this time it disappointed.
Food was mediocre at best--puff pastry on escargot not cooked through-temperature lukewarm
Steak frites--wow--this is a simple standard that again was lacking--frites were not even hot and steak quality ( I know it's a skirt steak) was not good
Most disappointing for a $15 glass of wine--temperature was "warm" for a red wine-yuck....
We'll be back and hopefully it will return to it's previous glory....
We went to celebrate a family birthday and were blown away by the quality of the food. We can't wait to go back. The wine list is wonderful ! We had wines that we have not seen since Paris . Felt very reminiscent of the true French bistros in France . Cody our waiter was the perfect amount of attentive ... worth every penny for a memorable evening.
Excellent restaurant. Our favorite Pano restaurant. Food it great! Service is great! Prices are good! Really enjoyed the sparking water they serve. We both got the specials and they were wonderful. We missed our old waiter Nick but Joe was great today. We will be back soon!
Thank you for making my birthday so special. I enjoyed myself to no end! The service and staff are impeccable as always. The pinot noir the we all had was delicious. I tried Coq au vin for the first time and it was amazing. I always enjoy coming here and look forward to the next time.
