Great! Always a good experience!
Food is usually great. It must have been an off night. Or the second chef was in the house. I had the lamb and it was very bland. Highly unusual for this restaurant. Service was very good.
Our family enjoyed our dinner so much. Trout, scallops, skate plus desserts! Excellent service.
Excellent food and service, never disappoints.
Outstanding Service, Food and Ambiance....the staff went above and beyond for a small birthday celebration feting two of my friends...from the moment we walked in the door and were greeted by the
Maitre 'd to service at the Bar and in the Restaurant, service was impeccable and friendly. Food was delicious and desserts incredible...lemon meringue tart, our favorite! A festive time and lots of fun!
Hostess was terrible
Outstanding food, wine menu and service! Definitely will return!
We enjoyed having brunch here for my best friend’s birthday! Initially, I was worried about the quality of service because it took several minutes to be acknowledged at the hostess stand. Once I was seated, the experience was wonderful! The food, service, and music were amazing! Everyone at our table was pleased with Bistro Niko. We’ll definitely be back.
The girls and I went to Bistro Niko for Sunday brunch. Perfect place to catch up and have some amazing food! Definitely coming back here!
My husband and I made a reservation, for a late evening (845pm), one of very few date nights we get to enjoy downtown. However, upon arriving, we were told it would be an additional 20 minutes before we could be seated, without any tone of remorse or apology that our reservation was not quite honored. We were told we should wait at the bar, maybe order some drinks while we waited, but the bar was too crowded to get any where near getting a drink order in, so we made our way to the restrooms. When I went in, I was disgusted. To be such an affluent Buckhead restaurant, the restrooms were a disaster. There was water in the floor, paper towels overflowing from the trash cans, and water all around the sink area. I had to hold my pants up from touching the ground, and getting wet, as I maneuvered thru the area without touching anything.
We were called to our table right at 20 minutes past our reservation time. Once seated, our server was prompt and courteous, and food was good, but overall, for the effort and value, and given our initial experiences, we would not recommend this restaurant to a friend. Next time, we will stay local in Alpharetta.
Great as always.
Big group for a birthday celebration. Good service with no gripes about a big group Good food all around. Shareable desserts
We were seated on time. Our wait person was courteous, informative, cheerful and attentive. The food was perfect. I would definitely eat there again.
Unusually bad service this time. No waiter came for about 5 or 7 minutes which is really unusual for BN. The guy just walked up to the table, never introduced himself, and I wasn't even sure he was our waiter as opposed to another water glass filler. My husband gave him a drink order but he never asked if I wanted to order a drink--just left and, again, we didn't see him for a long time and were about to leave when he finally brought the beer. Then, he started rattling off the daily specials but he was so tall (and far away from us sitting down), spoke with an accent, and not loudly enough to be heard over the loud restaurant. I could barely understand him. I asked him at the beginning to repeat, but he was not smiling and did not invite discussion and I knew what I wanted any way so did not ask him to repeat again so that I could hear. I definitely carried an expression that should have told him I was having trouble hearing him. But, no reaction on his part. He disappeared for long periods of time. Very disappointing. Thankfully, the food was delicious, as always. But, I don't think we'll be rushing back there.
I continue to be amazed by Bistro Niko. I have dined here many many many times over the years and can truly say we have never experienced anything but excellence in service, food and welcome reception. It is as authentic a feeling French bistro as any in the country and as I leave each time I continue to wonder why if they can do it why can’t many others . They seem to attract the very best employees in service and in the kitchen.
Thank you very much for the raving review! It's always a pleasure serving you, and we hope to see you back soon!
An extensive menu with many French standards, but all were surprisingly forgettable.
Food took very long to receive
We brought our son and his girlfriend for a special dinner. They'd never been before. We've been several times and knew it would be a good choice. They thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and we loved spending some quality time with them.
Seated at 7PM, Water at 7:10, Bread at 7:15, had to ask for a server at 7:20.
Wine by the glass seemed to be old and sour.
Food was excellent.
Once we had a service the flow was ok.
Would be a 5 star except for service. The restaurant was not busy. Only a few tables seated.
Bistro Niko is like stepping into a Parisian cafe! Lovely jazz music, a great menu, impeccable presentation. At night, it is a great date place. A great Sunday brunch!
Bistro Niko is a great new discovery for us for brunch. We sat in the quieter side room which was nice. The food is delicious, and it is apparent that they try to give good service.
We've had good experiences at Bistro Niko in the past. For some reason it was exceptionally noisy in the main dining room this past Saturday night, with people apparently watching a sporting event or something going on at the bar, and who were oblivious to the fact that they were not in a sports bar. Our waitress could not hear my husband's drink order and failed to bring what he ordered, and then she attempted to take our food order before our wine came, and the salads came out too quickly. My ceasar salad (ordered without anchovies) was rather tasteless. My main course (loup fish) was nicely prepared. We could have used more butter for the bread, but the waitress failed to ask us.
Excellent. As always. Good things just don’t change.
My husband and I chose Bistro Niko for a lunch date. The waiter was courteous and very knowledgeable. We settled on the 3 course special which included either an appetizer or dessert and an entree. Everything was delicious! We would definitely return to this restaurant.
Great food from a huge menu. Knowledgeable service which really helps.
We loved it! Perfect evening with good friends, tasty food and nice wine.
This was a business dinner. The food was wonderful and the service was pot on. AS the restaurant was not loud we were able to converse and enjoy.\
For all three of us, the food was exceptionally good, and our waitperson was just perfect.
Absolutely superb as always. Everyone who works there is cheerful and professional. The wine and beer list are great. The menu is excellent and I have always had a great meal there over the years I have eaten there.
Key to Bistro Niko is to have a table in the quiet room off the entrance. Good french bistro food.
Wait staff made me feel like I was in Paris- rude and offhand service.
The minute hanger steak, eggs, and palm frites were delicious. The live music was a tad loud. But our waitress was delightful.
My parents visit once a year from Europe and always insist on at least one visit to Bistro Niko while they’re here!
Very good food. We sat on the patio which was gorgeous. We will be back!
On a whim/impulse, we booked a 5:30 PM reservation last Saturday night with Bistro Niko and got a very nice table on the terrace. The street traffic from Peachtree Road was not bad, and the view was interesting and very nice. Our server, Maura, was sharp, friendly, and attentive - we will ask for her again. The food, from appetizer to dessert, was great. One of the things that we appreciate about Bistro Niko is its consistency, and tonight the staff did not disappoint. We started with Melted Swiss Raclette Cheese served on toasted baguette toast - wonderful. My wife had the Georgia Mountain Trout Amandine, and I had one of the specials - a sirloin topped with garlic-infused butter with a side of pommes frites. We were both more than satisfied and could have stopped there, but opted to split Crème Brûlée, very nicely prepared (plenty of vanilla bean evident in the custard); BTW I had their île Flontante on a previous visit and it was wonderful.
We had a great evening and of course will be back!
My reservation was at 5:30 pm. I was the only one seated in the front section, and I love that! I left just past 7 pm, having enjoyed a sumptuous birthday meal. My waiter was Victor; his service was nearly flawless. He knew when to check on me and when to let me savor. The meal was white bean truffle soup (velvety smooth texture), Kobe beef cheek bourgogne (burgundy reduction was perfect, meat literally melted in my mouth) and finished with a flute of Veuve Cliquot Yellow Label. The surprise birthday dessert, profiteroles, even included a candle! This was my 3rd year enjoying a birthday meal at Bistro Niko. It's now a tradition and the place is like a good friend: no matter what dish you choose, the ambiance and service will always treat you with love!
Set in a beautiful space, this I the ultimate authentic French bistro. The fabulous charcuterie platter is all house made and a huge value (a challenge for 2 hungry adults to finish) at only $24!!
Wonderful, as always!
It’s was THE best server we have EVER had at bistro niko!!!
Had a wonderful evening great food and beverages fun as always!
