Burger was dry. Lobster smelled bad
The food was fantastic!
Amazing view of Sunset. Food was delicious. Relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
A very nice restaurant at a hotel. Nice change.
Beautiful views great service lovely good - lower key than other places -but prices still in par with the rest of the neighborhood:)
Beautiful view of ocean but our table was blocked by the bar so not much view. Very overpriced
This is our favorite place in Wailea. Superior service (water glass never reached empty!); excellent food and drinks for adults and kids. It is not cheap, but unlike many of the other resorts which charge the same, you feel like you get something for the money here.
Average food that’s WAY overpriced. If you’re looking for local flair or anything even remotely interesting, don’t bother here. Standard American menu. Deep fried, cream/grease heavy food choices. Save your money and go to Humu Humu!
Food was good. Banana split for 2 was excellent. Views of ocean were nice. Overall very good. Table service was a little choppy, but other factors made everything enjoyable.
The Service was great and the Baked Alaska is the best!
i reaally nlike the grand wailea and have eaten here before but this time the food wasnt good, we went for happy hour ( 4 of us) mybhusband got th etomatoe and goat chees salad and it litterslly was a plate of haleved mini tomatoes with a couple pieces of goat cheese,
the happy hour menu was more of a sad hour menu withnonly a couple drinks and 4 appetizers
my friend got the fried calamari and it needed to be deep fried a little longer and i got the fried chicken sanwich which was over done
will not go back to this place
Married to my hero, mother of three, successful entrepreneur currently running two thriving businesses. We live in the beautiful PNE. I enjoy all activities with my family who loves to travel and dine world wide.
It was unfortunately a let down. The food was bland and the service was lacking. For over $300 USD we expected more. Great ocean views at sunset.
We have already recommended Bistro Molokini to others who are frequent travelers to Maui.
First night at the hotel and wanted something light. We split the tuna poke which was the best I have ever had. My wife had the clams combination and enjoyed it very much as I had the butter lettuce salad which was very good
Loved the music and ambiance. Our fish entree was very good. The pizza had a smoky flavor that I didn’t like and the baked Alaska dessert was mediocre. Will skip eating here next visit.
Lackluster at best. We’ve come here about once a year and this is probably the most bland, most pricey, and limited menu there’s been. The calamari was bland and had a sweet jam to go with which was too heavy for the little delicate calamari, the romaine salad was just fine, and the pork chop was dry/bland and I couldn’t understand the bean purée underneath. And this comes from a person that puts minimal if no salt on things. If you want the view come and have the banana split for two for dessert.
I wish they’d have just yummy food with a normal menu - like burgers, fish and chips. Grand Wailea is missing a “coffee shop” type restaurant.
The crispy chicken was very bad but my server Karen was so good I didn’t complain but I won’t order the crispy chicken ever again.
Good variety on menu. Great views. Good food and excellent service.
Great atmosphere and great service. Food was decent, not bad just not the best. Will definitely go back since the rest of the experience was so good.
We could tell at the sight of the menu that there was a new chef in town. Nothing jumped out at us. We went with the steaks, which were okay but not great. Our daughter ordered her usual scallops, and it was a plate noticeably devoid of any greens or starches or even garnishes...just some unevenly browned scallops piled with clams and resting on a ton of sauce. The days of the Bistro Molokini corn succotash have unfortunately passed. We will most likely be trying new restaurants rather than Bistro Molokini in the future.
Great food. Great experience!
Delicious food, great service, and gorgeous views.
An underrated spot to watch the sunset with an early dinner, with kids too -- the views and staff are great.
We visited late Thanksgiving afternoon Nov 2018.
Locating Bistro Molokini was an adventure. After valeting our vehicle, we had to ask directions of Waldorf Astoria staff three times before finding the restaurant. Upon arriving at the restaurant, the staff was baffled at the circuitous route we were instructed to take.
They were featuring a traditional Thanksgiving meal at $75 per person. My wife ordered scallops, which were good. My son, daughter-in-law and I ordered the Thanksgiving dinner. Frankly, the meal was disappointing. Pre-prepared plates Were placed in front of us, with rather meager portions. The turkey was definitely not fresh carved and dry. The dressing was not fresh either. At the price we were paying, one would have expected a buffet with a turkey carving station and more side choices.
Service was most indifferent and disinterested.
Overall, we expected a lot more from the Waldorf Astoria. They really disappointed and fell far short of their reputation for quality and service.
Service was fantastic. Food was ok. Had dinner the following night at Ko, less expensive and better quality
The yelling and cheering for a football game made it impossible for us to hear each other. Manager came to apologize late and said they had quit serving these people. Kind of late as the game had ended. Telling them to quiet down or leave would have been more appropriate. Really spoiled our evening out.
Food was delicious, staff was super friendly and very good with our little one, they gave our daughter a little plush toy at the end of the meal!
Good food. Good service. Not anything special.
The only reason I chose this restaurant was convienence. So I wasn’t expecting much but the experience was below my expectations. Mostly due to our server, she was terrible. I could elaborate on the details but there are too many so I won’t bore you. Bottom line- if you need a quick easy meal option the night you arrive at Grand Wailea this is fine. Otherwise I’d avoid this one.
The lower cost of Grand Wailea's restaurants, Bistro Molokini still features an extensive cocktail list and tasty options on the menu - just not the foodie destination that Humu is. All in all, we found very good drinks and food (lamb ragu, lobster spaghetti, and hanger steak with chimichurri). Portions are generous and the value is great.
The food here is very good. Would recommend the pork chop, chicken dinners as well as the mushroom pie. Service is a little slow. We ate here twice and liked the food very much. Wine by the glass had good selections. However, the person performing that evening wasn't the best and was very loud for this restaurant. Nice view of Grand Wailea property, pools and water.
Service was slow, plus they got the order wrong, a salad with 3 pieces of Bibb lettuce and tomaoes wirh they say avocado (but had to hunt for 3 tiny slivers) cost $16. Not going back.
the food was terrible I would not recommend - its disappointing because of where it is but don't waste your time or money
Great view of the sunset, great food for an enjoyable time with family and friends!
Long wait for our food. When the food finally came, it was not good. The pork was tough. Prices were not reasonable for a casual dining establishment. Overall not a great experience.
