Average food at above average prices
Hotel and property are beaytuful
Pro: nice ocean view and our friendly waitress
Con: Incredibly loud even when 2/3 full. It is a bar and grill/casual place but for the price (resort restaurant will always cost more) the preparation of food should be better. My daughter’s chicken was bland and dry. Crab cakes were fair at best with a large amount of breading.
Wouldn’t recommend given the number of restaurants in the other resorts.
Scollops were excellent however rice was spicer than I liked. Husband loved the wing appetizer and the delicious onion wings. Fun drinks, especially mojito. Such a nice place for causal dinner.
Food was tepid and not very flavorful. Noise level high. Decor blah
Server had limited knowledge of the menu
Rushed throughout dinning (server indicated she was going off shift )
Forgot to deliver wine during dinner
Charged for additional bread, not made aware of this
Not given option of a dessert menu
Overall had a very good experience. The food was very good. The restaurant was a little noisy the night we were there, this detracted from our visit.
We enjoyed our evening but we weren’t offered the correct table when we came into the restaurant and we asked to be seated at a different table. Hostess had us directly between two large/loud groups in the middle of the room... Immediately resat us upon request but should have been obvious that a family of 5 with 3 kids under 10 shouldn’t be sat between two tables of 20-30 adults who had clearly been drinking. In the end our experience was excellent and the table they moved us to was amazing... Just wish it would have been the table from the start. Our server was awesome!
One of our best meals ever. Oprah special was amazing. And the view!!
Everything was great! Will be back
We always eat here on our first night after a long day of travel from Oregon to Grand Wailea. The restaurant has been remodeled since we were here last year and it is much nicer. I think the menu is better as well. I had a bubbly Hawaiian Rose which was nice and we split the Truffle Mushroom burger. One of the best burgers we have had a long time. We will continue to keep this as our tradition as it continues to be very good food.
We started by sharing the "Tomato and Burre Salad" which was fresh and wonderful! For dinner we ordered the "Puna Chicken" & "Seared Ahi" The chicken was succulent with very tasty, crispy skin. It was served with parmesan & asparagus risotto which was fabulously rich and wonderful! This was a delicious dish in every way! The ahi was good but not as fabulous. This restaurant has a delightful atmosphere with a fabulous sunset view. Our waiter was Randall who was very attentive, helpful and polite. It was a great dining experience. We look forward to our another dinner here in the future.
Very over priced, but I guess that’s expected at a resort. Food was very average. Won’t return.
Food was terrible. Ordered the fire roasted chicken and it was very very salty. The sausage flatbread shouldn’t have even made it to being on the menu, it’s a terrible recipe with tangy cheese and super sweet jelly on top. The View from the restaurant is good.
We loved this place and would definitely go back The food and service was outstanding. The Ahi nachos appetizer is SO good. My husband also had the crab cakes and loved them. I had the fresh catch of the day - excellent. Really great place- dry friendly staff.
It was fine. Decent service, and very good food. The view was great and cocktails interesting. It was especially loud in the restaurant and the waitstaff preoccupied — although I’m not sure with what.
Overall, it was just a hotel restaurant — okay, a little crowded, not great service, but totally passable.
Outstanding overall service, especially our waitress, checking to see if everything was alright, etc. Quality of food and portion size greatly improved from a year and a half ago when we were here! The vegetables were locally grown, food tasted wonderful light and clean, service outstanding and would highly recommend to others!
The food and service were wonderful. We enjoyed this meal very much.
This resort is very large and everything is a long walk. My husband is using a walker now and the Bistro was a long way from our room. The staff arranged for someone with a cart to take us back to our room after our meal. We appreciated this very much.
- Post signs along the way showing what is ahead (pool area, Bistro, etc.)
- Post signs pointing to Handicap Ramps vs stairs
For night time dining the decore is decidedly mediocre. In desperate need of a makeover and better lighting.
Staff was the saving grace and very nice.
I went with my boyfriend and we had a perfect date night. It was early enough to watch the sunset, our server was very friendly and helpful, and it was still the quiet before the crowds. The food is also fantastic!
This place is a just a Sports Bar! Nothing special.
Do not expect the BISTRO experience here!
Food was simply not good. It was Thanksgiving dinner and a price fixe holiday menu with bland turkey breast and no traditional side dishes - no dressing, no geeen beans, no sweet potatoes. The restaurant was so dim I could barely see my food and the wooden seats had no cushions. The waitesss was attentive and went out of her way to make blue cheese stuffed olives for my cocktail. She was great....everything else was not. We are Grand Wailea hotel members for 12 years and won’t be back to this restaurant again.
Thanksgiving meal was just ok. Turkey breast was good and moist but the dark meat a little too gamey. They should had some type of vegetable with the dish. You only had turkey, a slice of corn bread and some cranberry sauce. The Yukon potato soup was good but very little serving.
Meh. Chicken was dry and scallops had sand in them. View is incredible.
Good restaurant for a pool bar. We had a lab get together here for a conference and it was good for that. Definitely get the ahi tuna nachos... extremely tasty. The wings were quite good too.
When on vacation we try to avoid over eating. For two we shared a salad and two appetizers (short ribs and crab cakes) and it was very good and just right.
Order the fresh catch and poke nachos. Really great!
Super charming waitress. Great food for a poolside bistro. Fun and delightful environment.
Went there twice and both times the food quality was poor. Did not like the shrimp flatbread at all. Nice bar for drinks.
Great view of the ocean and sunset. Tasty appetizers. Excellent service. Will definitely go back.
Very good food and nice atmosphere. Great place to watch the sunset.
Great view to ocean, casual dining, good for small to large groups. Small menu but a little for all palates. Food tasty, well prepared, you will not leave hungry. Excellent service. Ate here multiple times during our short stay at the hotel. Next time at the hotel, will definitely return.
The service and food were amazing! We were there with 4 young children and the attention to detail made this a family meal we all enjoyed! Thank you!
Appetizers where good , entree not so much!! It's a good idea just to stick to appetizers
Usually great satisfaction our dinner there on 9/10 was a disappointment. The catch of the day $34 instead of tender and tasty turned out to be so hard and dry and could not be cut with the knife. The card board steak was shown to the nice waitress Breanna twice and asked her to provide the feedback. However no attempts to address the issue was evident. The "fish" was mostly on the plate. We had to purchase an additional item the poke nacho which we would recommend. The beer salad has such a small quantity further accentuated by a large plate but tasted all right.
This likely is an aberration that day. As a Grand Wailea member we found it most unusual and will attempt to notify the management.
Great service and the Ahi nachos were amazing! Flatbread was a let down but still ok. Our server was awesome and took great care of us on our honeymoon dinner. Expensive but expect to pay too much at a nice hotel. Amazing view of the sunset, pool, beach!
Overall, pretty good
The staff could not be more accommodating to our jet lag family. The food was delicious (calamari was yummy as well as wings) and the kids meals were a hit.
Our server was welcoming, kept our water and drinks filled, and even gave our daughter a stuffed sea turtle from the resort, despite the fact that we weren't staying there. The variety of dishes allowed us all to find something to order, and the food and drinks were tasty. We will definitely be taking the beach path back to this restaurant.
This restaurant is a gem whether poolside at Adult pool for drinks and tapas or dinner with my children or casual lunch ; everything was excellent ! The tuna poke tacos with spicy mayo is out of this world!
