This restaurant was absolutely fantantastic and worth the money. From the service to the food we were pampered. Ihad the filet mignon which was cooked to perfection and my friend ordered the rack of lamb which was eaten to the bone. My husband ordered a pasta dish which was well worth it. They had an entre special of buttersquash ravioli with lobster and we were able to order it as an appetizer. Words can't describe the exquisite flavors. If you are in the area or have a special occassion or just want to treat yourself remember Bistro Mezzaluna.
We've had great experiences at Bistro Mezzaluna and this time was no exception. We celebrated my mom's 91st birthday and the wait staff could not have been more attentive and kind to her, joking with her and even posing for pictures with her! The food as always was great.
Attractive décor, polite staff, knowledgeable about menu and special items. Our server, Waz, was very professional and did not rush us thru our dinner. Enjoyed the music from the lounge and will keep this on our list of top favorites. Rack of lamb special was excellent. We will be back soon!
A delightfully remodeled and re-located 17th street Causeway favorite. Lighted menus illuminate one's choices. Wonderfully expansive wine list, very good, sizable portions of traditional (NYC) Italian fare with a Latin flavor--. Skirt steak w piles of string fries perfectly cooked; superb scallops and an excellent risotto. A nice portion of breads yet no olive oil , no roasted garlic and no bruschetta-one gets at nearby restaurants. But a very large and tasty grilled squid appetizer sufficed for the the two of us. All served with aplomb to your comfortable booth. An excellent date night choice.
Service was attentive, friendly and helpful. We were served at a leisurely pace, but I think that was on purpose to allow us to enjoy the evening. Food was very good.
Great ambiance, delicious food and excellent service.
I actually ate at Bistro Mezzaluna two times during my visit to FLL area, what an amazing restaurant. Between the 2 visits my friends and I tried numerous menu items and all were perfectly delicious. However, the #1 item is definitely the Chocolate Soufflé!
We keep returning tor this entree for either lunch or dinner. Delicious! The waiter was forgetful - We asked for more "everything" crackers which he never brought to us. My husband was drinking a gin & tonic and asked for more tonic, but the waiter brought club soda - good thing my husband checked it out before pouring it in his drink and ruining it. When we asked for the check the waiter took a very long time then came over to clear our table and still no bill....then finally he brought it to us so we could leave. We were there on a Sunday night and not many people there so the waiter did not have too many tables to serve so that is not an excuse. Anyway we will be back and hopefully get a different waiter.
While there was nothing particularly wrong with this restaurant, it just didn't appeal to me. The food was just good, nothing that stood out. I had the sea bass which was well prepared but my friend had the veal scaloppine, which looked very sloppy on the plate. The decor was outdated and needed a facelift. To me it seemed like this place had seen its heyday pass.
This was our first less than wonderful experience at Bistro M! The food was good but the kitchen was delayed 15 minutes serving the birthday participants dessert so our group left without the celebration portion of the meal. Wait staff was our usual pro and he was aware of our timeline so unsure about the source of the problem. As our group exited, they were handed to go desserts but that did not replace the group singing and sharing dessert. We will return as we typically love everything about Bistro M. The pasta is excellent, lunch specials are always good and dinner is equally wonderful. Hopefully this was a blip that wants be repeated.
WE LOVE THIS RESTAURANT. NO MATTER WHAT YOU ORER YOU CAN'T GO WRONG. AFTER 2 DELICIOUS SALADS, I HAD LINGUINI IN WHTE CLAM SAUCE. PERFECT, NOT TO GARLICY AND NOT AT ALL OILY. JUST THE WAY I LOVE IT. MY HUSBAND ENJOYED HIS PRIME RIB, THE SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL.PREPARED PERFECTLY.
BISTRO HAS MANY REASONABLY PRICED BOTTLES OF WINE, AS WELL AS HAPPY HOUR M-F TILL 7 AND SUNDAYS.
AS ALWAYS..............WE WILL BE BACK!!!
This was the best dinner my husband and I have had in a long time. It was excellent. The food, service and ambience were perfect. Definitely coming back!!!
Went there for a business meeting and it was excellent, the food was superb, the wait staff knowledgeable and attentive and the ambiance wonderful.
Time after time, always excellent food, service and ambiance.
Once, we hosted a party there for 30+ people, in a private room ... and every single thing was still perfect !
The staff knows how to provide great service always.
All I can say is Everything was PERFECT!! From the drinks to the dessert!! I had the Surf n Turf and my boyfriend had the NY Strip!!! Excellent!!!! The creme brûlée was Yummmmmmy!! Oh yeah, my strawberry basil martini was specially made for me!! Oh yum!! And I can't forget the service!!!! They get get a 10!!!
We are regulars to this restaurant. Although we truly enjoy the food service and ambiance this wasn't one of their finest evenings.
Three of us dined. Two of the entrees were excellent. Mine was not. We arrived at 7pm and by 8pm we were on desert. They don't usually rush the food out as quickly as they did this night. We enjoy a more casual, slower paced dining experience.
Always delicious, service is terrific and Monroe always make sure everything is running smooth and you are enjoying your evening.
A trip to Ft. Lauderdale is never complete without a stop at Bistro. Every dish was amazing, the attention to detail is fantastic and the service is incredible. Cannot go wrong with this restaurant.
I had the Surf and Turf, and the Lobster was HUGE and delicious. Our server was phenomenal and have nothing bad to say!
The old location had gr8 food and a cool vibe. This spot had no energy and the food while good it was nothing special.
Our server, Hector, was very knowledgeable about the menu. He was also very attentive without hovering over us continually. The food we ordered was excellent and the espresso Martini that I had was one of the best ones I ever drank!
We come here for the Rigatoni Bolognese - it's very good. We had been coming here for lunch but this time we came here for dinner. The dinner portions are large - took 1/3 home for lunch the next day. The bread basket has very good everything crackers, lavash and rolls. The place is beautiful and spacious. On the way out we looked in at the large bar room and the entertainment was very good. We will be back.
Fabulous dinner though we've never been disappointed at this friendly neighborhood spot. The specials are always noteworthy so we ordered the 5 lb. lobster stuffed with homemade pasta and surrounded by clams. The lobster meat was all out of the shell so easy to enjoy. My husband and I typically start with the calamari and since pasta and seafood are both great we do both and split. Desserts are plenty for two. There are cozy booths for two as well as large rounds and private rooms to accommodate all. The bar is lovely with comfortable seating so if you forget to make reservations, you're ok. Parking is ample at lunch and valet complementary at night. This neighborhood standard is consistently a winner!
excellente service very warm ambience
Very good food and atmosphere. Service was excellent.Ask for WAS.
We have been going there for years. New building is great. Very consistent , very good food and service. Special place.
Drinks were great, wine list and coktail options were vast. Got oysters on half shell, were perfect. Red beet salad, and lobster bisque to start out. All were very good Salad so fresh and cheese was melt in your mouth good. Our table got sea bass which was good. Lamb chops, which were great and a steak which was great also. Would highly recommend. I felt bad that the restaurant was practically empty om a saturday evening.
The staff goes all out to ensure you enjoy your dining experience. The food is not only delicious but the servings are generous for sharing/sampling.
I will always make it a point to visit again the next time I depart for a cruise.
the food is excellent. We had the yellow tail snapper and veal chop and they were excellent.
They have the best Veal Chop Ihave ever eaten, we also ate the snapper fish and it was outstanding, crunchy and soft. Good wines.
This is one of our favorites. When we have a free night from going to a new place, we try to get back to Bistro ( always consistent ) Mezzaluna. Food, service and ambience make this an experience that we always enjoy and have never been disappointed. The lounge is equipped with a nightly piano man who sings softly in your ears and relaxes your tensions from the work day. Comfortable large chairs and tables to gather around to relax. Eat in the lounge or enjoy one of the dining rooms but if its an outdoor evening, then go to the patio and enjoy a little more romantic atmosphere. Oh, when opened , the menu is illuminated entirely. Great idea for those of us with tired older eyes. Try it and I promise you wont be disappointed. Enjoy.
This lovely restaurant will accommodate most any size group in a variety of private rooms though also has nice booths and smaller tables. We love the calamari and the fish including grilled salmon is excellent. Pasta with clams can't be beat. Lunch salads including the Cobb are delicious and crisp. Desserts are enough for two or three. Check out the daily specials as they are always good. July features lobster! Our family has enjoyed this lively restaurant for years and always suggest it to friends. They did a great job for my husbands holiday party last year so we will return again this year. And, there is easy valet parking at night and ample during the lunch hour.
Great food in an awesome atmosphere. Well lit noise level perfect and menus even had led lights so you could read easier. Seafood salad appetizer was a special was wonderful and scallops with risotto dinner also a great choice. Lounge is comfortable with couches for a drink before or after dinner with piano music. Definitely a must and will go back in spite of the somewhat high prices.
Everything was perfect from the Valet, to the end of dinner!
The Maitre'd ! Monroe Furst could not do
enough for our table! It was an awesome
We will be back!
I actually didn't have high hopes for this restaurant. I thought the food would be only ok and the experience rather boring, but it was actually quite the opposite! The service was excellent and made the experience. The food was pretty good! And overall we had a great date night!
We had a terrific time... The food was amazing and the waitstaff couldn't have been friendlier!! Worth every penny!!!!!
Loved the old location...this feels like a convention hotel...not much warmth. Nice that same chef, etc. for like 20 years, but bored with the menu choices...and the bottom line, is the food is not wonderful...for these prices, too many other restaurants to choose from...and the service was disappointing...I think everyone in the place is bored, and wishing they were home....as was I by the time I finished my meal. Just nothing special about it anymore...
Service excellent. Food very good
Philip our server helped make our dinner at Mezzaluna an extremely enjoyable one. We started with great salads, my husband the wedge, which he loved, and I the gorgonzola salad. My husband had the evening special of the Rack of Lamb. It was prepared just to his love and to say he enjoyed every mouth full would be an under statement.I had the shrimp and Lobster Fa diablo Just the right amount of spice and the pasta was cooked al dente the way I like it.
Desert was a to die for flourless chocolate cake,
A million calories later, and two happy dinners later we can only say this was a wonderful dinner.
Had not been to the new location. My husband liked his snapper, my crab cake tasted like a pre-made product. The happy hour in the lounge was better than the actual restaurant, although rather dark and gloomy feeling. Liked the music and appetizers.
