Under the watchful eyes of executive chef Jose Diaz, we maintain our reputation for well-crafted bistro fare. Add to that an award winning wine list (arguably the best in the county) and exceptional service and you will soon see why Bistro Mezzaluna has become synonymous with great dining.
The eclectic menu boasts such delights as ; U.S.D.A. prime steaks, homemade pastas and the freshest seasonal seafood including colossal stone crab claws. Each and every dessert is made on the premise. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the seasoned service staff will make you know that you belong.
Perfect Mother’s Day!
Busy night in bar. Service and food were good. Always like going here.
Wait staff was exceptional and food delicious. We enjoyed our 1st visit & will go back
Food was fabulous and delicious. Large portions I had to take some home. Waiter was outstanding. Birthday celebration and waiter brought our dessert with a candle for the birthday girl. Can't wait to go back.
Always delicious. I can't say enough about this restaurant. The food is consistently good and the service is great as well. One of my favorites in Fort Lauderdale!!!!
Had reservations and no one was there. We called and they closed. And we had reservation at 9:30
The food was outstanding.
I had been there twice before and enjoyed it. This time the food was pretty rationed and not very good for the price.
Food was fantastic. We went here last minute and felt underdressed. Would recommend
Very good experience, again. Overall, a tad pricey, however food and service were both very good. Only minor blip was that the original bottle of wine we ordered, a red blend to accommodate varied tastes of all people at the table, was out of stock so the server recommended another bottle. This was a nice gesture however the bottle he recommended was a red zin (very heavy and on the other end of the spectrum from a blend) and was not in the same price category of our original bottle. Other than that, an enjoyable evening!
So thankful that Bistro Mezzaluna continues its amazing service and food. It is harder and harder to find a good place to eat these days without being disappointed in service or food quality or both. Bistro Mezzaluna is excellent and always reliable! We loved celebrating my mom's birthday there.
Beautiful restaurant with a relatively small menu and extensive wine list is usually a recipe for success, but not so much here. The wait staff is excellent, but the food took forever to come out. 3 people should need to sit for 2 full hours for apps, entrée, and dessert with a bottle of wine that was served nearly 10 degrees too warm. Regarding the food, meh. Not bad, but not particularly good either. Average at best and not good give the prices and reviews. Just another overpriced Italian restaurant in sofla that seems to have gotten lazy.
The seafood was great, Valerie made very good cocktails. I would definitely recommend.
Excellent Experience!! Our waiter was so Nice. Food was Outstanding and such a Clean Restaurant!!
Very nice. Atmosphere. Piano bar is great
Great outside seating for these trying times. Food was delish.
Wow! Service was attentive, food was excellent, atmosphere was great.
Not inexpensive, but good value for what they provide.
Excellent food, excellent service.
Sat outdoors - very nice.
Highly recommended for special occasions - a little pricey.
The waiter was a bit arrogant. We ate outside and that was lovely. The food was not what we expected considering the price.
Nice location, good staff, a bit crowded and we had to wait for quite a while to be seated, even with a reservation.
Upscale, but comfortable. Excellent food, service, and ambiance. A little pricey, but that was expected given the upscale nature of the restaurant. Would definitely return and also recommend.
In addition to a well rounded menu they usually have great specials. Which was the case this time, the halibut was delicious and so was my Husband’s veal chop.
Always a favorite stop when in FLL. Truly a dining experience. Amazing waiters and staff.
Great experience, great food, and great service. Me and my fiancé loved this place while visiting Fort Lauderdale.
Lovely note. Great food, service.
We enjoyed a lovely meal. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was white tablecloth nice without being stuffy.
Server was a little over the top and forgetful. But we all had a great time and the food was good.
some of the best italian food I've ever had served by professional waiters who never let your glass run empty
We were 3 and had 3 different entrees. My go to is the scallops with mushroom risotto which is always excellent. I first started with the pear salad, and we all ended with hot chocolate soufflé's which weren't as it was chocolate cake with a gooey center. Since we were observing the holiday week of Passover and were not to eat cake with flour, this is what upset an otherwise excellent meal. The other 2 started with an excellent lobster bisque, one followed with rib eye steak, and the other with roast chicken which she said had a peculiar sauce.
One of the worst experience we ever had.
The service was horrible. We were trying to order a bottle of wine and waited for 20 minutes to someone come to our table.
We chose a wine and after 10 minutes the waiter came back saying that they didn’t have. He suggested another one. The wine was bad, like vinegar. We chose another one. They didn’t have. Finally, after 3 tentatives we were drinking.
The food was the same. Two dishes we order they were out. And it was only 7:30pm!!!!
We waited for the food forever.
And in the end, the waiter came outside the restaurant, screaming with us complaining about the tip!
I never went trough a situation so embarrassing like that.
Will never come back and DON’T recommend for anyone.
Greta restaurant, great food, it did take a little long but ok. Loved it
We felt very comfortable dining here outside. There was plenty of space between tables and the ambiance was pleasant. Our food was excellent and the portions generous. I am wary of ordering salmon as it can be fishy but I ordered it. This salmon was perfectly cooked (medium rare specified and received) and it melted in my mouth. It was fresh and not fishy at all. It was served on a delicious pear and gorgonzola salad, which was lightly dressed. Roasted potatoes accompanied the dish. My leftovers were enough for two lunches! Others had snapper (excellent) and the fettuccini with lump crab and shrimp. Unlike a recent experience where I ordered a lump blue crab and avocado salad (the crab was not lump, instead watery, tasteless - from the Philippines,) the crab in this dish was the real thing, like the blue crab you get in Maryland and Virginia. We started with the classic Caesar salad. It didn't have anchovies, which wasn't an issue with us. It was a great Caesar salad. Two of us split it and the portion was so large that perhaps that's why I couldn't finish my salmon dish. The wait staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Our only issue was that it took about 45 minutes from finishing our salad to getting our entrees. This is not an inexpensive restaurant, especially if you add in the cocktails and wine, but it's worth a trip for a special occasion.
Excellent atmosphere and service. Outside dining was magnificent. Excellent wine selection.
Waiter was awful. Food good but not great.
We absoultely LOVED it here. Food was excellent and the service was just as good. There was live music which was so fun and energetic. We can't wait to vacation in Florida again so we can come back.
Phil the waiter did an awesome job. We had a very nice experience for our Anniversary.
The Piano Bar was a nice touch to the evening.
We highly recommend this restaurant.
Outdoor dining offered relaxed vibe and staff was accommodating with special requests.
It was good.
TERRIBLE. Fish is burned, steaks are burned, service is way below average, and price at the end is INSANE for what they serve. And they include their tips automatically, so you cannot complain. There were a lot of people complaining. If you finish the drink you are on your own as they pass every 2000 years from your table even if the place is almost empty. My worst experience in fourth Lauderdale. Go anywhere else and save half of the money and get a better food, even at gas station. Very very bad.
