We welcome you to our Bistro & our Maison.
Epic food, vast wine list, eager to please staff...what more could you want? Great experience
A wonderful evening with great food, good wine, and favorite friends. Looking forward to our next visit.
Bistro Maison has become one of our favorite wine country restaurants this past year. We have made several visits this year and always love introducing our friends to this gem in McMinville!
We went on Mother's Day, with a reservation. They were very busy. We've been there other times and the service is usually great. The food is always great.
Mother's Day was a fixed menu with selections varied and satisfying. Service was slow - 25" wait to order after being seated and the first course arriving 30" after that. The staff seemed confused and hurried, almost as if an employee or two had not show up for work. Outdoor ambiance was OK, some noisy patrons present but not over the top. Surprisingly, one couple was allowed to bring their medium sized dog to sit by their table but was of little problem. However, another larger dog, a boxer, was given the freedom to roam about the place at will. She responded to the shrill call of one of the servers after I suggested she be returned to her kennel but the whole situation was sadly inappropriate. For our party of three, a non-publicized 20% tip was automatically added to the bill and was a bit assuming.
Bistro Maison is my favorite local restaurant. Dinner was delicious. I had salmon with a morel cream sauce that was cooked perfectly.
The only good thing about our night at the restaurant was the wine and the company. Two of us had the $38.00 rib eye steak that was about a 1/2 thick, or less. I had my sauce on the side, so what I got was an overcooked steak on a plate. It came with about 10 lbs. of french fries. No soup, salad. The other person with us had the scallops . Her veggies looked and tasted burnt. The potatoes where watery. So all she could eat was the scallops. Service was NOT. We received more service from other staff members then the person waiting on us. All in all it was very disappointing evening. I was visiting from out of state and we wanted to have a nice dinner before Mother's day. This was not, and none of us will be back! And when we tell people about this place, we won't be telling them to go there!
One of the best French bistro restaurants on the USA. Big menu and wine list.
The chef made a special appetizer for us with squash and morels and it was WONDERFUL. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
We just love this restaurant. It is the perfect place for great food and ambiance.
We have had dinner at Bistro Maison several times. The food is well prepared and presented. Sometimes the sauces can be a bit too rich, but that's typical of restaurants. Service is always friendly and attentive.
We were allowed to pick our table from those available. Prices are not cheap, but consistent with quality.
Wonderful Easter menu with excellent wine pairing. Lamb with an gratin potatoes and vegetables was excellently prepared.
My wife and I visited Bistro Maison for their Easter Dinner. The food was outstanding and the setting special. Both the food and wine selections were awesome. We will be back!
Best scallops I have ever had.
Outstanding meals, from beginning to end, for all 4 of us well travelled adults. Pick this one in McMinnville!!
We were on a tight wine tasting schedule and they were amazing keeping us on track. I had selected our shared lunch items ahead as they suggested. The first courses were on the table waiting for us when we arrived and a steady replacement with the next courses magically and smoothly arrived. The food was beautifully prepared and presented and absolutely delicious. The 8 of us were wonderfully taken care of and we were able to make our next tasting.
It may have been what we ordered, the fondue and pork. I would like to try other menu items next time.
All the choices from appetizers to main courses to dessert were wonderfully prepared, unique and delicious. The service is friendly and informative and they know how not to rush you between courses. They know their wine lists too. We were there last month and then when in the area this month again we said let’s go back!
We were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary, but we always enjoy Bistro Maison even without a special occasion. The service is always outstanding. There is great food and wine selection. We always have to had the dungeons crab cocktail. Then, we tried the squash with blue cheese, which was wonderful. Keven had the duck breast again because he loved it the last time. I tried the hazel nut encrusted pork chop with puréed mashed potatoes and braised red cabbage, and I was not disappointed. We were too full for dessert, but they all sounded delicious.
I took some new-to-Oregon business associates from Mexico to Bistor Maison. A wonderful experience it was for the five of us with helpful & caring attendence, aesthetic presentations of exquisite foods, local Yamhill Valley red wine and then thorow in a complementary warm dish of diced, crusted fish with a homemade spread sauce to put on thinly sliced, delicately toasted baugette -- yumarama! Our server used just the right amount of communicatin and was right there for us and we had an added bonus that she spoke fluent Spanish as well! Fantastic. We all loved it!
As usual, the food was wonderful and it is always a great place for a celebration. The owner had time to explain various food options and that was great too.
Attention to detail was incredible in both service, food presentation and flavor. The Coq au Vin was fantastic, the tart was wonderful and the creme brulee dessert was off the chart. I will recommend to friends and family.
Lovely decor and excellent ambiance. Tried the fondue it is delicious. We will be back. Yes I highly recommend Bistro Maison.
Such a cozy spot for a typical winter Oregon day. We started with the soup du jour which was creamy without being rich, followed by mussels which were perfectly prepared in a light broth With a hint of harissa, then a salmon pave Served over a bed of French lentils. Our baguette had been baked in house that morning
All in all, and excellent experience. We wish there were a Portland branch of this restaurant. It was lovely to be able to carry on a pleasant conversation as well – all too rare these days
Great small quaint restaurant with excellent food and atmosphere. You feel like you are in small village in Europe
Another amazing experience. We can’t wait to come back!
Great evening!! Great food!!! Always enjoy our time at the Bistro and tonight was no different. Deborah took care of our eating needs with a special salad, extra veggies and the sauce on the side. The scallops and salmon were well prepared. I can’t say enough about our evening!! Thank you!!
We have spent a good amount of time in France and this restaurant takes us right back! It's friendly and unpretentious while serving some of the most wonderful wine and food in the state. You will not be disappointed! Do not miss the fondue or the oysters. Delicious!
Bistro Maison is my new favorite in Oregon. Everything was beyond perfect. Deborah took care of a fantastic chocolate birthday cake for my mom's 95th- with a fun fountain on top. Truffle fondue to start, for our table of 9. It could not have been better. Next time in Oregon, I will make sure to visit. By the way, we eat in restaurants at least 4 times a week, so this is saying a lot!
Fabulous staff, adorable ambiance, delicious food! Come hungry!
My husband and I have come to Bistro Maison several times, but this time brought 2 friends with us. We all enjoyed the ambiance, atmosphere, friendliness and attentativeness of the staff, and the delicious food. The 4 of us shared the White Truffle Fondue, the fromage et charcuterie plate, and 2 orders of mussels a'la creme de pernod. We also loved the cassoulet maison that our 2 friends shared together, and confit de canard, that my husband and I shared together. It was a wonderful evening and I am sure all 4 of us will be back, either together or in pairs.
Another fantastic meal at Bistro Maison! The Ribeye was very well seasoned and cooked perfectly, the escargot was divine and the cocktails were perfection.
As I told the owner, what I like best about Bistro Maison is it saves me a trip to Europe. The food is excellent and the wine list extensive. It’s a great dining experience.
Excellent!! Great food and great service couldn’t ask for anything better
Very nice small restaurant we had a very cozy feeling all the way through dinner
Always an amazing experience. What lucky place McMinnville is to have Bistro Maison. Simply amazing.
I have to try something else but the Carlton Pork Chops are so outstanding I have a hard time trying anything else. The desserts melt in your mouth and will have you leaving with a smile on your face. It is a little spendy so we only go for special occasions but we try to get there at least two to three times a year. You want to go early, it gets crowded and it is a small setting so it will get noisy. I think that I could put up with trains rolling by just because the food is so good!
Food was excellent, great atmosphere, good service
This restaurant is one of my very favorites. Truly authentic and delicious French cuisine.
The music in the background was very bad. There is a huge collection of mellow dinner music and you had very distracting bad music.
We had a perfect 5 star lunch at the Bistro Maison recently: the soup, beet salad and pate were “to die for”. I love this restaurant!!!!
