Need to book at 11:30 AM?Other great restaurants with availability.
Always a pleasure to dine at their table.
One of, if not, THE best restaurant in Oregon. Good options for vegetarians and pescatarians too. A rare find in the PWN. Very reasonably priced.
The owner stopped by our table more than once, and arranged a special meal when the item my husband ordered was not available. Bistro Maison is one of our favorite restaurants.
I would have appreciated more concern by the waiting staff on how they were dressed and how they appeared, especially in such a fine and expensive restaurant.
We came for the Christmas Eve prix fixe menu. Despite a full house, every item was prepared and presented expertly. The Duck Cassoulet was the best I'd ever had. My wife ordered the French Cut Roasted Breast of Chicken and we both agreed that it was the most moist and flavorful that either of us had ever tasted. In short... everything was perfection.
The 3 of us were seated as soon as we arrived. The service was outstanding. The food was delicious and we never felt rushed. The wine was also excellent.
We’re so lucky to have such a great place in McMinniville, the food is always outstanding and the Bistro team makes you feel welcome through out your dinning experience!
When we celebrate a special occasion our first choice is Bistro Maison!! Deborah, Jean-Jacques and the staff have created a special place in McMinnville. Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary or just a special night out, the Bistro is the perfect place. Thank you!!
Just great food and service done right. Summer provides outdoor seating options that lessen the congestion which is my only demerit. Can’t go wrong here and the owners are on site. Fantastic
Very welcoming atmosphere with great knowledgeable staff and exquisite menu items.
Won't go again. Overcooked duck, dried out raw vegetable appetizer, awful bread. Where do you find vanilla ice cream with no actual vanilla flavor? Turkey on top of something unrecognizable. Mediocre wine in the middle of wine country? Please put soap in women's bathroom, dump the plastic tablecloth, and no loud Motown music in a French restaurant on Thanksgiving day! Nope, nope, nope. Not again.
I was contacted multiple times by both OpenTable and Bistro Maison confirming the reservation and when we got there right on time we had to wait several minutes to be seated. No one asked to take our coats or explain the delay. The food was good but the service was below average and it was much noisier than I was expecting.
A fantastic Thanksgiving meal! The food was perfect; succulent turkey, tasty dressing, wonderful sides, appetizers and deserts. The service team was attentive, super friendly and worked hard to make the holiday special.
The only negative were parents who ignored their children and allowed them to run shouting through the dining room. It is not the restaurant staff's to manage your children, they may want to advise parents it is the parent's responsibility to instruct children on appropriate restaurant behavior, or leave them with a sitter.
Our meal and service and ambiance at Bistro Maison were superior. The only problem we had was that they set our table for 7 next to a group of 20. We do not begrudge that party the opportunity to laugh, talk and have their children run around, but we would have enjoyed ourselves more if we had been seated elsewhere, though I realize seating on Thanksgiving day is rather limited. Also, I have a problem with Open Table, who changed our reservation time without notifying us. With the confirming text, I noticed the time had been changed. I called Bistro Mainson directly and we were given our original time.
Always a treat to dine here when we are in the area. Fabulous food and excellent service. We all loved it!
This is our #1 go-to place in McMinnville for special occasions and when we are looking for a good experience in dining. It NEVER disappoints.
Delightful refurbished home with lovely décor and marvelous food, served by experts!
A truly exceptional dining experience. All aspects are top notch -- service, food, and ambiance!
Everything we had was delicious. Had a great martini with dinner as well. The ambiance is very nice and welcoming. Service was great!
French in McMinnville that is in everyway as good as being in France.
My wife and I love this place... The food is always very good. Coq au vin... almost perfect. All the right ingredients but always better when left overnight in the fridge to round out the flavor profiles . The scallops were perfectly done with just enough in the sauce to compliment and not overpower the delicate scallops.
The salade du vignon a great combo of beets, cheese and roquette with toasted hazel nuts. Fresh and perfectly dressed.
The house wine... a very drinkable Bordeaux!
The rooms are small and can be quite noisy...
Everything you could ever want in a dining experience. An innovative menu, entertaining and cordial hospitality and a cozy setting. So many things on the menu that we want to try. Will be back sooner than later. Recommend you do the same.
Amazing food and service. Authentic French menu.
We happened upon Bistro Maison when we were going through McMinnville in June. We made a special trip an hour out of our way this visit because it is such a gem. Nothing but wonderful things to say about everything. We are from out of state but will be back!
We ordered a terrific bottle of wine with our steak and appetizers. Fresh fig with prosciutto. Yum.
Food was good. Service was a little slow, but decent. We told them up front we wanted two separate checks for ten people, two groups of five. At the end of the dinner, they said they couldn't figure it out and said it would have to be one check. When pushed to explain, they brought the check and told me to figure it out. They left me a calculator. I cannot recommend them and won't go back. We used to go there 2-3 times a year .
The best meal I’ve had in 2019. Wonderful in every respect.
The food, service, and ambience were all exceptional!
Excellent food in a lovely setting. Highly recommended!
Very small place which meant very loud. Service was the poorest we have had with open table restaurants. I would not recommend this restaurant at all.
Great food, very good service and wine selection, and a fun place to eat.
The food was excellent all around. The service, not as much. We felt pretty much forgotten for long periods. In fairness, they were busy and definitely understaffed for the evening. Drink service was pretty much nonexistent after the first glass of wine. Luckily, we had brought a bottle from our hotel which we wound up drinking.
Delicious food, quaint atmosphere, relaxing, knowledgeable & friendly service. We enjoyed the Moelleux au chocolat dessert so much we stopped by to get it to go the following night.
This has long been our favorite restaurant in Oregon wine country. This was a celebration of our anniversary and didn’t disappoint! My salmon was perfectly prepared, my wife’s mussels were amazing and the service, as always, was wonderful.
Our group of 14 Guests from South Dakota asked us to put together something unique, educational, and memorable while visiting the Willamette Valley wine country. Chef Jean-Jacques and Deborah delighted all with creative food, wine, cocktails, and an educational culinary and wine journey.
From the starters butler pass to their signature dishes to a carousel of deserts; all was spectacular. If you are visiting the Willamette Valley and McMinnville, you do not want to miss Bistro Maison.
We came here last year & loved it, so this was our first stop when we arrived this year. We had the fig and escargot appetizers, and the salmon & mussels for mains & they were all amazing. We also had the dessert special which was good but not great. The wine, however, was a problem. We ordered a $48 sauv blanc-semillon blend. Soon a woman, I assume she was the sommelier, came out with 3 wines and said she was out of the one we ordered, but she had 3 around the same price point we could have instead. She then proceeded to tell about the 3 she had brought out. The entire time she addressed my husband, and ignored me completely. We picked one & enjoyed it very much with our dinner. She came out a few times to ask my husband how we enjoyed it. He told her it was very nice and at one time she gave him a hug-completely inappropriate! We had quite a shock when we got the bill & found that the wine cost $74!! No way that is anywhere near a $48 price point! Despite the wonderful food, we left with a bad taste in our mouths
Such a hidden gem!! Wonderful food prepared to perfection. We dined on a slow night so we had plenty of attention from wait staff and chef’s wife. She was able to recommend a Pinot Noir that even the non-Pinot drinker liked. She really knows wine, she really knows food!
We had a lovely dining experience. Great food and service. Very knowledgable staff. Thanks everyone!!
The CHARCUTERIE appetizer was amazing. Then I had the Steak Frites and that was awesome as well. I ready many reviews before going and don't understand the issues with the service, which was outstanding, and the food. Given the large portions and quality the value was good.
