Wonderfully place a little hidden gem. I've been waiting a few years too dine there I'm so glad I finally did. All the food was really good but the Lobster bisque is something that will make you reconsider soup.

We went to Bistro L'Hermitage for lunch the day after Valentine's Day, which was delightful. It was still beautifully decorated (gold hearts hanging from the ceiling, red heart wreaths on the walls, roses and satin ribbons on the tables), without the crowd that was there the night before. The food was delicious and attentively served.

This establishment continues to be our favorite up-scale restaurant in Northern Virginia. The décor for Valentines Day was original and superb. The wait staff and management were awesome as always, taking the time to come over to us (even if they were waiting other tables) to renew acquaintances and make us feel welcome. Perhaps this may not seem like a big thing, but it's important to us. As the song says: "Little Things Mean a Lot".
As always, the food was excellent!
It was a great evening out!

My rack of lamb was not prepared as ordered. A restaurant of this calibre should know the difference between absolutely rare and medium rare. I ordered medium rare. I was not willing to have my date to delay starting her meal while the restaurant redid my order.

Bistro L’Hermitage is my favorite restaurant. Everything is perfect. The decor, the ambience, the wait staff, the owner — everything including the lovely food can absolutely be counted upon to be perfection. You are promptly greeted like you are family. We took our son in law to dinner here for his birthday. Although we were late arriving, Youseff saw us outside and came out himself to help us take pictures. I feel very special when I am lucky enough to get to dine here.

Went for an early Valentines dinner date, and overall it was very nice, but it was not the romantic experience we were hoping for. Food was very good, and service was outstanding. Ambiance was very cozy - it’s definitely more of a small bistro than a romantic restaurant. Most of the tables are very close to each other, the room is small, and the ceiling is low, so it’s loud and there’s little in the way of ‘romantic privacy’. Attire ranged from coat & tie down to jeans & sweatshirt...next time we go we will dress more casually. We will definitely go back, but not for a romantic date night. It will be a top choice when we are just looking for a comfortable evening of great food and service.

Loved our Sunday Brunch here! Carlos immediately appears with 2 Kir Royales to relax us. The croissants are halved & the best offering in the bread basket, along with butter & strawberry jam. Barry always orders the smoked salmon platter & I tried their French onion soup. Both dishes were excellent. Deciding to cheat on his low carb diet, hubby had the brioche French toast w/ maple syrup & berries for his entree. Carlos brought him extra berries! I had the NY strip steak w/ spinach & French fries....and a glass of Bordeaux. Barry actually could not find room for his usual molten lava cake ala mode but I enjoyed the lemon meringue tart. The cappuccino machine was broken so I had black coffee instead. Carlos gave me a splash more Bordeaux to apologize for no cappuccino. He is a very thoughtful waiter! We will bring our family here in May when they visit.

Disappointed in today’s meal and appetizers. We brought our children (40 and 45) for the first time.
The escargot were barely warm and not lacked flavor. Two of the four meals, were not good. My husband had the shrimp and pasta. And my daughter had the crab cake, neither liked their food. We have eaten here several times and have had great meals, but this warranted feedback. I am sorry to have to write this at all.

Wonder charming place. Got a great corner table and was quiet for awhile before it got really busy. Waiter was fantastic, we didn’t order anything: they just brought us course/pairings after each. Having never been there I was shocked it was such a hidden gem.

We have been here and returns a couple of times a year. It is a quaint place that always serves up consistent culinary dishes. It is a neighborhood gem and we like to keep it that way. Management would like it differently I am sure. So, I write this review reluctantly.

We dined on a snowy Tuesday evening. Small crowd and we had a birthday in our group. The staff was more than professional. They were personable, friendly and made us feel c=very welcome. The food was excellent and I would highly recommend Bistro L'Hermitage to anyone seeking fine dining. If a sixth star was available, I would choose it.

Cozy french provincial style restaurant. Very good food and ambiance. We were there for Sunday brunch and it was busy and a bit slow but it was also restaurant week so things were very active. We have also been there for dinner. Morrocan man woks there (Owner?) and we enjoy talking to him about Morrocco since we've lived there and traveled there extensively. Great place for a meal!

Sunday Brunch was wonderful as always! We were seated at Table #2 (our favorite) & had Carlos, our favorite waiter. He brought over 2 Kir Royales as we were celebrating Barry's recovery from 2 cardiac events. Appetizers were the smoked salmon platter & lobster bisque. So delicious! Entrees were Moules & traditional Eggs Benedict. Also yummy! I had a glass of red wine from Mendoza, Argentina (I'd meant to order one from Mendocino, CA but it was very good). We even had chocolate lava cake w/ chocolate ice cream (for my chocoholic) & a lemon meringue tart. Then big cups of Cappuccino. A feast! Can't wait to return.

We had a lovely birthday dinner for a friend...food was very good and portions ample! Dishes at our table included trout, sea bass and red snapper...bean soup was the soup of the day, delicious as were hors d’ouvres which included tuna tartar, eggplant dish. This restaurant was a real “find” with not only excellent food and service, but a lovely ambience.

This is a true gem in Prince William (Occoquan) and we absolutely loved the experience. The décor was nicely done and reminded me of many places I have di in cities around France. Service was outstanding. Everyone we encountered from the young woman who offered to take our coats at the door, to the friendly people who unobtrusively kept our glasses full, to our wonderful and knowledgeable waitress were top notch. I would compare them favorably to some of the nicer restaurants downtown. Although I normally don't select anything fried, the oyster appetizer was superbly done. My dinner partner loved her red snapper and I thought the lamb shank I had was perfectly done. The sauces and sides were nicely done and the presentation was excellent. They have a nice wine list and the crème brulee nicely completed the meal. Now that we have discovered it, we will be back!
