We were sitting at an awkward table in the middle near the door but it turned out to be fine. The food was hot and delicious. We highly recommend the funghi as an appetizer :) Great experience. Will definitely be going back 🙃

The food was delicious. The service was great and I loved how it was BYOB! The only compliant I had was the brightness in the room!

Great food, great service. We had a group of teens that came to eat and were so loud it made it tough to hear the waitress....other than, great place

The restaurant is very small, and every time the door opened the cold could be felt in most of the space. Most of the food was good, but the risotto with salmon asparagus very overcooked and TASTELESS. Arugula salad & bread were the best parts of the meal.

Booked in advance of VD as necessary to get reservation at desired time before show. No mention of restricted menu. Two days before VD got text that evening would be priceless fix. Not what I booked. I replied about my disappointment and was ignored.

Desserts were three containing chocolate. One of us is allergic with no posted alternatives. Veal option was not their best work. Pounded thin, cooked to death and smothered in goo.

I’d pass next time. Too many alternatives to be mislead coupled with average fare. Go elsewhere.

First timers at La Baia. We had a Valentine's Day dinner res. When we arrived we were immediately seated. We were then informed that they were serving a 3-course fixed price menu. We both loved the food selections. We didn't know it was a BYOB. Our waitress kindly offered us a complimentary glass of wine. A nice gesture. Srvice was very good but not impeccable, e.g. had to re-request oil the sound level was quite moderate.
We plan to return!

We loved every aspect of our recent visit here. This was our second visit and it was just as good as the first. Our hostess/server was incredibly pleasant and efficient, and always in tune with our needs whether it was more bread, more water, or new plates. The food is fabulous starting with the super delicious bread. This was followed by a sauteed mushroom dish and grilled (?) calamari which were outstanding. Chicken dishes are usually dull but our chicken marsala and chicken piccata dishes were remarkably flavorful and perfectly prepared. For dessert, we had tiramisu and it may have been the best I've ever had. Not to mention the prices are incredibly reasonable for food of this quality. Bistro La Baia is a gem and is easily up there with Philly's best restaurants.

I would consider this a small boutique restaurant. Give me the fill as if my in someone's home in Italy. Nice place to go to on a date. Light music playing in the background and conversations at a low with give you a great opportunity to zone in on the person that you're with and enjoy a great meal. The staff was attentive and the food was excellent. The menu was short and to the point. We selected one of the today's recommendations and couldn't be happier. The one down side is street parking. The location is residential so you may need to drive around the block a few times to get a park. Might be best to ride share.

Noise level prevented chatting... very loud table ensured that. Tiramisu was terrific but the entrees were meh. Nice servers.

The food is delicious and the the wait staff very friendly. There are always many specials not on the menu. Unfortunately the food was too salty this last visit. If you are salt sensitive i would ask to lighten the salt if possible

Found this on google and decided to give a try last minute. Accepts reservations through open table which is great - especially for a Friday night. The food was pretty good. The lobster ravioli was very good although the pasta tasted slightly undercooked. Otherwise the everything was good. Only complaint is that it is VERY tight and you are very close to the table next to you.

Went for restaurant week. Solid menu. Caeser was great . Tagliatelle was ok, needed a little more flavor, vodka sauce was a little weak. Tartufo was good, but I didn't realize it had candied orange in the middle , thought it was traditional. Service was good as well.

The food was excellent as always which is why we return again and again. The specialty appetizer was outstanding: fried rice ball stuffed with veggies! The Veal Cleopatra was scrumptious! Everyone enjoyed their entrees: pasta with calamari, special of veal studded with 3 different cheeses. Always a treat and great service.

Always good quality food and at a very reasonable price. The staff treat you like neighbors greeting everyone warmly. It is a small place and when the door opens you get a rush of air but worth it for the good food.

I went to the restaurant for dinner with friends after a performance at the Kimmel Center. Brief walk. The menu and food quality were outstanding. Every item is made there, from the gnocci, to pasta. We had a variety of dishes. I had a salmon rissoto that was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.
