I wish they had more vegetarian options like they used to. The menu linked from Google Maps was different than the actual menu which caused some confusion when we showed up.
So good! Came here for lunch. I like the BYOB and the atmosphere. The food was amazing! I got the lunch portion and was more than enough. The service was on point.
Wonderful meal! This is such a nice neighborhood restaurant: casual, cozy, delicious and good service. Fairly standard Mediterranean/Italian food prepared well with nice sized portions that we all enjoyed thoroughly. BYOB and very modestly priced make is an excellent value. Altogether great!
Our go to place in the neighborhood !
Excellent food and service!
The food is amazing! The lunch portion is a bit small but it still tastes amazing!
After 35 minutes we had neither water nor the opportunity to order. We left.
The food was amazing and the staff was able to accommodate for a different food choice setup than what was on the menu, would 100% come here again.
We had a great date night! Everyone was so nice and accommodating. The food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS and we for sure will be back very soon!!!!
Service needs improvement. Mussels were great, everything else was pretty good! They seem to be ill prepared for dinner rush. Only 2 servers who had some sense of what was going on.. the other seemed lost. It took a long time for service request to be fulfilled.
very nice service, great food, and so many dogs walking by!! great time!
Food was good but they had little kids running throughout the restaurant. Made it difficult at times to sit and enjoy. A lot of the main dishes they were out of ingredients so limited menu.
Arancini not crunchy. Meatballs a little overcooked/tough. Vodka sauce on point! Same with pesto gnocchi. Need more staff, we were waiting >15min between courses.
Restaurant week, they didn't skimp. The food was delicious! The fish, both salmon and branzino were cooked perfectly. Servers were nice. They were accommodating to my allergies. We will be back!
Eggplant Rollatini was amazing......
Waa just average
I would not go back. Much better Italian restuarants in the city
Went during restaurant week and the experience was incredible! We we seated immediately after being offered the option of indoor or outdoor seating. We opted for first available, which was indoor. It was rather hot inside and we were closest to the kitchen, but that was the only downside to the entire experience and I’ve still rated 5 stars! The food portions were very generous and everything was delicious. Our table had the caprese, polenta, meatballs and Arancinni for apps, chicken parm and pasta with Italian sausage as entrees, and chocolate mousse and tiramisu for desserts. Everything was amazing! Staff members were so friendly and accommodating. Will definitely return!
Tasty food, great service, outdoor dining options.
Visited this restaurant for Restaurant Week. Our meal was outstanding. I would definitely recommend both the Veal and the Lobster Ravioli in a vodka blush sauce.
Excellent service and food. The owner is very cordial.
Great service and even better food!
I dined here with my mom during restaurant week, it was great. Friendly service and delicious food.
We had not been to this restaurant previously so we decided to try it during restaurant. The service was excellent and the gentleman who seated us was welcoming and friendly. My husband ordered veal and said it was the best veal he had eaten since we moved to Philadephia three years ago.
Last night we ate at Bistro La Baia during restaurant week. we were thoroughly satisfied with the food and atmosphere and highly recommend going back again which we will.
I went with my brother during restaurant week and the menu options were absolutely delicious. We got the polpette as an an appetizer. As our entrees we got pappardelle con salsiccia along with the lobster ravioli. The food was fresh, tasty, and super filling! Not to mention the dessert was outstanding. It was delightful to experience the tiramisu and the tartuffo. I will be returning soon!
The food was absolutely delicious! The salmon had great flavor in EVERY bite. Service was good, they were busy and did the best they could!
Just took way too long for our foods!! 2 hours for the foods and i didnt even get to eat my dessert there!!
First timer during Center City Restaurant Week and not disappointed. The food was tops and the service was pleasant. I will definitely go back.
Nothing fancy but excellent food and service at a reasonable price.
The service and food was wonderful. Very very nice crew. Service was wonderful (had to say it again lol). Would definitely recommend a friend.
I am absolutely in love with this little gem of a restaurant. The atmosphere is beautiful, BYOB is always a plus, and the service was perfect.
Polenta bruschetta was delicious! Just stopped for salads for lunch but they were also very good. Arugula salad was perfect; Caesar was a little heavy on dressing. Ambience fine for sidewalk Covid time; construction on street bit if a bummer but not their fault. Would come back (and would bring wine as didn’t notice BYO with first go round).
This was my 50th visit? I have lost count. Their food is consistently stellar, service is lovely, and the staff cares about your experience. Lobster raviolis are great and the bread is made in house! I'd visit for any occasion from girls night to anniversary dinner. An added bonus that it's BYOB.
Enjoy this place. Their bread is amazing and their folks are always friendly and accommodating.
We had a lovely evening. This is one of our favorite go-to neighborhood BYOB places. The restaurant staff members are very nice and we enjoy the Italian food very much. Outside can be a bit noisy with the traffic on a Sat night, but is otherwise very pleasant (inside is quieter).
I know Philly restaurants have been killed by incompetent government, and I really want to like this place, but it was dirty and depressing. Food was ok, but for the experience, it was overpriced. I hope they can do something to improve and survive. Nothing interesting on the menu. Nothing to drink but water and iced tea. It was a sad experience.
We used to really like this place but I think our meal recently was fair to good- not as well prepared as in the past. Not sure why.....
cold food. nanananannananannanananananannananananannanaa
We were very disappointed with La Baia. The outside tables weren’t available and since we’re all vaccinated sat inside where it was freezing and too loud. The wait staff seemed more focused on serving outdoor tables so we had to wave them down for service. They clearly were too rushed to pay much attention even when they came to the table. The mushroom appetizer was delicious but my entree wasn’t good at all.
One of our favorite BYOBs in the city. Staff is always so nice and the food is always excellent. We are practically regulars now.
Great food good value!
