Bistro Garden at Coldwater Ratings and Reviews
I used to come here all the time as a child when my dad worked here. I have memories of being down in the restaurant with a German Apple Pancake in front of me while my dad would be working. I have NEVER forgotten the taste of that pancake it's the most nostalgic plate of food I've ever eaten. I hardly ever go, maybe once every year because it's so far but I always get the same thing that damn pancake. They've changed it a bit but it still tastes damn good.
I took my friend there for her birthday and the waiter seemed extremely rushed. We had to ask for our menus. When he brought her the birthday cake there was no well wishes or anything and all other tables the waiters sang happy birthday, we didn’t need him to sing better at least say happy birthday , we just felt so left out it was kind of weird. I am not sure I would go back
We go to this place frequently. It's a small menu, classic style, live music. What's positive that it has high ceiling inside. It creates a feel of large room and it's significantly more quiet than places around.
Service is good, place is clean and appealing. Designed for better-dress occasions. Jeans and beach shoes are not welcome here. Many places have been changed and simplified. This place stayed classy for over 10 years we know it.
It's very good for family dinner as well as for quiet "randevour", business meeting, or any reception.
I love the restaurant because of the service and the ambiance but my dinner was terrible.
I know that sounds like I’m over reacting but I’m in the restaurant business and I give a lot
of leeway My food was bad I ordered the Special steak chard rare not only did it come over cooked
but I could not even eat it because of so much gristle and my vegetables were hard and under
cooked. The only reason I did not want to send it back was we were entertaining and very
special guest. I wanted to take my daughter there but not sure. Ive been there so many
times before but I'm upset. Thank You Penny Perkins
Dinner was ok. I was hoping for awesome but this fell short. It's a nice space, but they're going for fine dining in wicker chairs, sooo.... yeah. Onion soup was good. Entrees were decent. Soufflé was good and came with a nice touch In that the live pianist played happy Birthday as it was coming to our table. Service was laid back but competent.
I have been here many times for business lunches. The food is always very good and the service is top notch as well. With that being said, the prices on the menu are on the high side. If you are dining on an expense account, this is the place for you and your clients.
Very friendly professional staff and had a pianist playing when we were there. Food was very flavorful and portions were good. French bread and olive bread came with pate and butter. We ordered French onion soup and lobster bisque both delicious. Our filet mignon was tender, the asparagus was grilled perfectly, and the gratin potatoes were good. The place has spacious high ceiling and an open atrium garden room made it a very pretty and relaxing atmosphere. There is a bar area too. Had early dinner on a Sunday evening and had only a few patrons there which was nice because it was low key and romantic. Price is reasonable for the quality. More people should go here for the food, service, and great atmosphere.
Bistro Garden is one of the few remaining restaurants with enough space between the tables so you can actually talk to one another! A delightful gentleman plays the piano softly in the background and the restaurant is just lovely. You can be guaranteed a beautiful evening at this restaurant!
Bistro Garden is a beautiful restaurant with an airy, bright European decor. It is, however quite expensive and unfortunately the food is just not that good. I had to send my petit filet mignon back because it was extremely salty.
But I must say our server was wonderful.
