Service & food were good but $6.25 for a kids glass of milk is absolutely ridiculous!!!!
Overall a very disappointing experience. The mixed drinks were terrible and undrinkable. I ordered the salmon with mashed potatoes which was not edible. The mashed potatoes were cold, hard and chunky but the salmon was even worse. It was mushy and the consistency of it tasted like it had been cooked the day before and reheated in the microwave. I did not eat any of my food and the server did not come back over to check on us so ended up skipping dinner that night. I would never go back even if the meal was free.
Always a great meal!!!
Great view and sunset! Worth the ride up the mountain.
Our favorite spot on the mountain. The staff is great, very friendly and prompt. Menu is a little limited but everything is tasty. Highly recommended.
Great meal and service. Turkey pot pie was amazing! Desert sampler of three was also terrific!
Please note that you have to buy a $30 pass if you are not skiing. This adds to the already pricy menu.
El servicio fue bueno pero la comida bastante normal. Esperábamos algo mucho mejor.
Our plan was to spend a cozy evening in a restaurant in the mountains. The dinner turned out to be a total disaster. The mains came out cold and after a second round in the kitchen the result was not any better. We received a correct discount to compensate for the "disaster", it could however not save the evening. The waiter did its best to apologize, we missed however a manager to come forward and explain the situation.
We booked dinner here so my parents could experience being on top of the mountain. Since they aren't skiers we like to chose a different mountainside restaurant each year. It doesn't have to be something really upscale but we eat out often enough that we aren't interested in just bar food or burgers. The menu was intriguing so we thought it would be a good, relaxed option. The view is gorgeous and after 3:30 you can ride the gondola for free which is a big plus. However, out of six meals, only one of us said they would order the food again (they ordered the turkey pot pie). We had buffalo/elk meatloaf and the brisket cheese steak among the rest of us. The brisket was stringy, the cheese sauce that came with it rivaled fast food nacho sauce, the mashed potatoes were undercooked with large chunks of nearly raw potato and the meatloaf, while not dry, was rather bland. The lunch menu looked fairly standard and I suspect that if you are looking for a very basic lunch and happen to be on the mountain it would be fine.
Great way to get away from the hustle of Eagles Nest. I have eaten there many times and have always had great service and delicious food. I am gluten free so I love that they have a separate menu for me. Definitely make a reservation because it can be crowded esp on weekends and holidays.
Good value for the kids meal. Entries were average. The service was slow.
Mediocre food at a half way decent price with the ambiance of a barn!
Excellent food and drinks. The salmon was nicely done.
Good place for a snack and drink
Syd and Jim are always awesome. We are weekend regulars and always love their fun, attentive service.
Great service and great food. Perfect stop
Wings were outstanding & lamb entree as well. Turkey pot pie was huge. Service good throughout.
We are very happy we decided to try this place for dinner. The Gondola ride up is always lovely and we were sharing this with a first-timer-to-Vail so it was even more special. The service was so good and so enjoyable - our server gave us excellent recommendations and we were not disappointed. Try the chicken pot pie - it was outstanding! The pork belly and scallop appetizer was great as well. Excellent bottle of wine and choice of mini desserts rounded out a very nice meal out.
Great place for lunch on the mountain. They take reservations, the service is good, and the food is way better than cafeteria.
Food was very disappointing. The salmon was bad, elk/bison meatloaf was overlooked with poor to no flavor. The bison cheesesteak was average at best (awesome idea-poor execution. The lamb Ruben was good. Just not even close to vail standards. This is the first review I've ever written on OpenTable but I think this meal (not the service) deserves a review for the price and the location.
Great place with even better service. The gondola ride up was fun and gives great views. Food was good. We had the meatloaf and pot pie, both were good. Reasonable pricing.
We had a very attentive waiter that was quick to respond to our every need. He gave us many samples so we could fine-tune our dining experience. Food was excellent.
We had such a fanrastic first visit to Bistro Fourteen that we immediately booked a time for lunch the next day there as well. Food was fantastic, but the service was the best in Beavercreek! Ask for Adam.
So fun taking the gondola to this scenic restaurant. It gives even non-skiers a taste of being a part of skiing! Views are great! Great for non-Coloradans to experience a high altitude meal!
I went there for lunch, and found the food to be alright, but vastly overpriced.
Good service average food.
Basic food , excellent service , good for families , lighting a bit harsh and not a romantic spot , but a nice way to see the mountain and take a gondola ride
Dessert menu is outstanding.
They cancelled our reservation because the power to the gondola went out. Though Vail Mountain was able to to bring guests up the mountain to the Game Creek Club for dinner. They left a very unfriendly voicemail and didn't even offer to reschedule or give us other dining options. Just poor customer service overall.
The food was just "ok" but the views are fantastic!!
Good food and atmosphere, but a little pricey. Will come back on my next visit to Vail.
Nice, informal restaurant with good food and friendly service. Great views of the mountain and it's fun to ride the gondola to and from dinner. We took our granddaughter, age 8, and she also loved it. Good for kids and adults.
Vail resorts needs to change the menu for this restaurant. The food is mediocre. We went on a Thursday when the entrees were BOGO. Bill was still expensive relative to the quality of the dishes.
Twelve friends met for dinner after a long day of skiing....food was amazing, the view was spectacular and service was superb. There wasn't a wait, which was a nice change from restaurants in the village.
Expensive. Limited selection. Food just ok
Gondola ride there was fun
Fun gondola ride up to the restaurant. The waiters were terrific but the food just very average
Great fun with friends. A lot of laughter, very nice waiter, great view.
Food was HORRIBLE. I had pasta that not only tasted like it came out of a Ragu jar, but was cold.
Outstanding view at the top of Lion's Head Gondola. Great family treat and Thursday nights are 2 for 1 entrees. The service was so friendly and efficient.
Elk and buffalo meatloaf-amazing! All of the food was excellent and a gondola ride with great views. Reasonable prices. Tremendous!
