Wonderful French cuisine in a lovely room with 1st class service.
Very good service, the waiter was very nice and considerate and recommended the chocolate shuffle and suggested to order ahead because it takes time to prepare.
The file mignon was excellent also the hamburger
Honestly it was disappointing experience, this is the first we went for a thanksgiving dinner to a restaurant, kinda went in without any expectation. The seating was uncomfortable to begin to with since we got a remote corner table that did not have bare minimum space to even set up my coat.
Bread for the table was served right a second before the appetizer was served - didn’t make any sense to have it anymore. Appetizer was good. I ordered the duck breast and it had way too many textures that didn’t go with each other. The server was too excited to take my plate away and serve the next dish without even me fully finishing my dish.
All in all I don’t think the food nor the service was worth it. The front desk staff were very nice and sweet

Nice for sharing thanksgiving with relatives
We went for Thanksgiving and the menu was great . I am vegetarian and they had a great option . All the dishes were delicious and beautiful plated. The service was really good and all the waiters very nice and efficient . This was our first time there on a Holiday and we were impressed . The only little miss for us were the cold and not so fresh bread rolls .
Thanksgiving dinner was spectacular. The food and ambiance were great for celebrating a holiday away from home. 100% will return.
Came in for thanksgiving with 2 other guests. Everything took extremely long. Our server was also the bartender for downstairs, so it’s understandable but the restaurant is clearly understaffed; shame on the company for over-demanding and under serving, clearly they’re just looking to make money and don’t give a crap about their guests’ experience. We started with a dozen oysters, which came with our hot apps, at 3.50 each, they least the kitchen could have done and was pay attention to coursing things appropriately. Towards the end of my meal a manager came over and abruptly cleared the table, I asked if we could order a round of shots and he was very abrasive. Not sure if they were trying to turn the table but we spent almost $1000 on a meal, the least they can do is not act as if we were inconveniencing them.
The food was fine but there are better places to dine in Boston.
Had the prix fixe w wine pairing for Thanksgiving. Delicious!

My girlfriend and I went on a Monday night for our anniversary. Absolutely terrific, one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The oysters are very good, definitely try the tomato and ricotta tortellini as well. We shared the Ribeye and it was excellent. Definitely finish off the meal with the flourless chocolate torte and a coffee. The service was great, the restaurant itself is very pretty—overall an excellent experience.
We love this restaurant, the chicken was not as good as it usually is however, the tuna tartare was amazing …as usual
The eggs of the omelets were tough and rubbery and reminded us of fake egg products used by fast food restaurants. Very disappointing as the real French way of making eggs for an omelet is delicious. Bistro du Midi should do better.

The upper floor has excellent ambience… We thought the service was good but waited a bit at one point. The food is always excellent… They are known for mussels and the chicken. We enjoyed the diversity of the drink menu and overall had a fabulous night.
We came for my husband’s 40th birthday — 6 people total. Location and atmosphere were great, and the food was really good, but the service was completely off. We waited forever every time we ordered a drink and when I got up from the table to discreetly ask if they could please put a candle in the dessert to celebrate they brought all the desserts without any candles and when I got up to ask what happened they sent the waiter over to ask my husband whether or not he wanted a candle after all the dessert was brought and the jig was up! It would have been easy to remedy the forgetfulness by bringing another dessert with a candle (on the house) or apologizing or comping any of our desserts but none of that happened so the night ended on a really disappointing, deflated, and completely botched note.
Having missed my special birthday dinner last year because of the pandemic, I was wishing for my favorite birthday dinner of tagliatelle with mushrooms and white truffles; I was not disappointed. My husband and I split an entrée-sized portion of this as our first course, and followed it with seafood: monkfish, which was delicious, and cod, which was, regrettably, a bit bland. We enjoyed glasses of several different wines with our two courses, with our server Mario providing excellent suggestions. Service was excellent throughout our meal.

The restaurant was beautiful. We sat upstairs in the dining roomAnd there was plenty of space between the tables. Our waiter was very attentive, friendly and helpful with my husband’s questions on the menu. I have celiac disease and they were very careful with my food explaining that it was gluten-free before they placed it in front of me. And the water glasses were constantly full and the food presentation was beautiful. I had the beet salad and the duck and both were delicious! My husband had the ribeye and he said that was also cooked to perfection. I did have the flourless chocolate tort for dessert. It was a perfect evening.
Person next to us was so loud it made it had to ear. It was half way through the meal so we didn’t ask to move.
We had the worst service ever Ignored by the waiter, wrong bill, etc
I had a reservation for 1 at a table. When I walked in, the bar was fairly empty so I chose to sit there. Unfortunately, the bar immediately filled up and I was squeezed in. No hook for bags and my jacket kept sliding off the chair. Other than that, fantastic service, great eggs Benedict, and a fun atmosphere! Will definitely go back.
Service needs to be more professional
My wife and I dined at Bistro du MIDI. The restaurant is not nearly as good as it’s prices are high. My wife’s duck was fairly good. But the fish course was poor. Cod was substituted for halibut, and the cod was over cooked. The plate’s lobster foam was in distinct and did not offer any flavor accompaniment.
The wine list escalates in price very quickly - a $60 retail bottle of white burgundy that is listed a $170 on the menu. The pour of Sauternes was minuscule.
The food was OK but nothing special. It was a bit loud.
Seemed understaffed. Very slow service. Food was not good. Must be short of qualified cooks also. Chairs in the bistro filthy. Not coming back.
One of the worst dining experiences I have had since reopening of the economy. Waiter was positively rude and deeply unhelpful - food was bland and mediocre.
Highly overpriced and overrated.
It was far too noisy to be enjoyed. Not only that, the first floor chairs were absolutely filthy, disgusting in fact. They really need to do something about this.

We went to celebrate a very special occasion and ordered their expensive 7-course tasting menu with the wine pairing. It was OK, many small plates with some fancy looking items, but nothing memorable. If you are in mood to spend too much money then take the tasting menu, but not otherwise. Also, it was way too loud and although there were many empty tables, we were seated next to a group of 4 who were talking in our ear all evening. Not much of the ambiance. The service was great, but you overall experience was not worth the money
This is my second time visiting the restaurant. My first visit was for lunch. I loved the food so much I wanted to return for the dinner menu. The upstairs is very cozy, chic, and the vibe has a beautiful ambience. I would highly recommend.
Such a wonderful dinner!! Both of us had filets and they were perfect. Everything about the night was on point. Sit upstairs, it’s warm and comfortable….I could have stayed for hours!
Great food, great atmosphere!!
Went for brunch with friends. Eggs Benedict with Salmon were great. The Foie Gras terrine was ok, the doughnuts it came with not so much. Croissants were very good. Orange juice was mediocre. Still, overall a good brunch spot we've been going to multiple times.
Service was very slow. Our waitress was also a bartender. Food was excellent, but the portions are small. I’d only go back because we didn’t have a chance to try the chocolate soufflé.
