with friendly "non-stuffy" service. Bistro by the Tracks is Knoxville's answer to great metropolitan dining."
We've been here a dozen times and love it every time we go. Such good food always!
This was our 2nd try at the BBTTs and it will be our last. The waitress (polite but had an attitude) told us the duck dish was pink inside when describing it, so I had some expectation, but what we got was a raw piece of poultry. No way was that going to be eaten. I asked for it to be cooked through, and it came back warmer, but I could only eat the edges and honestly it wasn't that good anyway. Even the crispy pieces used to cover/flavor the breast were not very tasty. Just salty and fatty obviously. The mussels, wine and Caesar salad were great and all the other staff were very pleasant.
We visited for lunch on a weekday, which, despite dining here many times for dinner over the years, we'd never done....brunch maybe, but not lunch. That said, it was a very nice experience with a variety of sandwiches and mains on offer. We had a group of four to dine and among us we all ordered something different. All the food was well prepared and fresh tasting, service was good and at lunch the place was fairly quiet with around 8-10 tables in use. For this quality lunch, the price point is good value as well. If you are in the Bearden area and want a quality lunch, this is a good choice.
Went there for my daughters anniversary, the food was outstanding we were all impressed with the sides and surprised by the reasonable prices. I would definitely go back.
We had a very nice celebration for our 50th Wedding Anniversary.
We had an excellent dinner experience!
We have been going to Bistro BTT for over 10 years, because we first went in the old location. The food, wine and service has always been excellent. Our last visit was on a busy Friday night, and the noise level was a little loud for pleasant conversation. But our main purpose was for the good and wine!
I usually enjoy dining at the Bistro by the Tracks, but for brunch, it was not a pleasurable experience. I made a reservation, which I ended up not needing because the restaurant was near empty. After my entire party arrived, it took several minutes (10+) to get everyone drinks and another unanticipated amount of time to take our orders. It took forever to get our food and our server was not attentive to our need for water and coffee refills. I try to keep my judgment in check when dining, especially as a former server, but this was unacceptable. The restaurant was not at all busy, so the delays in food and drink refills should not have occurred. It took 2+ hours for us to have brunch. If you want prompt brunch service, I would not recommend the Bistro By the Tracks.
I have never been disappointed, the is phenomenal and the service is so super friendly I love this place!
Great service. The food is great.
Small amount of food that was average to below average in taste. One of the dishes I ordered I could not even eat and no one in our party could eat it either. It was not a good experience.
I've lunched at this restaurant many times. I'm not sure if the restaurant is under new management or if it is the new wait staff. Our waiter was inattentive and slow. My food, specifically, the scallops were well below prior visits. I wasn't sure if the order was wrong or simply disinterest in getting it corrected. This was an important client meeting - I was quite disappointed.
I am a long-time, frequent patron. Went for Sunday brunch. The Pain Purdue was ok, but the cream cheese topping was off - not sweet enough, hard to describe-it was just weird. It was obvious that the dish had been sitting out for too long. Also, I found a long hair on the dish. The potatoes were way too spicy. The service was great, as always. I probably won’t be returning for brunch anytime soon. To be fair, I did not complain to the staff, so there was no opportunity to correct. I’m sure if I did, they would have made it right. Btw- I’ve never had a problem with dinner service.
My friends and I had a fantastic time. The food and service were impeccable.
Had a great anniversary with a great food and service at the Bistro. Definitely will be back
It was full on a a Tuesday evening with several large groups (6+ people to a table) so the noise level made conversation a bit challenging and the daily fish special was gone less than 2 hours into a 4 hour dinner service window BUT service was perfect, food came out timely (not rushed and not slow) and food quality was exceptional, as always.
Always great service and fantastic food.
We normally have had wonderful experiences at this restaurant, but this visit was a bit of a letdown. The shrimp toast was very good, however the mushroom soup needed more seasoning. We then had an unacceptably long wait until the Bistro Chopped Salad was served. It was obvious that the salads had sat in the kitchen awhile as the greens were soggy. Our waiter was friendly, but not very attentive.
The crispy skin salmon was fantastic & the service was great!
Really great! Everything we ate and drank was excellent. Service is outstanding and professional/cordial. Highly recommend.
Lovely venue!!! Great food!!
We have always enjoyed our visits to Bistro By The Tracks for dinner and decided to try their Sunday brunch. It was awesome. We plan to go back soon. The entrees were wonderful.
The food was amazing! We can’t wait to go back to try their dinner menu! Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was fantastic!
Halibut was a bit dry but everything else excellent. Great place for dinner with conversation
Always a treat to be here. Wonderfully fresh and creative cuisine. Excellent service. Fabulous cocktails and wine! I’ll be back!
We've dined here in the past and been pleased with the food. This was not a the great experience we typically had. We were seated immediately by exceptionally friendly staff. Our server was very personable, friendly and engaging. Our cocktails were delicious - but 2 of our party of 3 were served their cocktails almost 10 minutes before the last cocktail arrived at the table. Very awkward! Once we placed our order it took FOREVER for our meals to arrive at the table after our salads - more than an hour. By the time we got our meals we were one of only a few tables left in the restaurant. Our guest indicated he enjoyed his vegetarian linguine (but I'm not sure if he wasn't just being polite since he only ate 1/3 of the dish and did not wish to take the rest home). My gnocci corned beef with was fine but the chef was heavy-handed with the mustard in the sauce. The last member of our party had the swordfish and thought it was okay but not have-it-again worthy.
What a delightful surprise. We were seated in a cozy booth, and we had a really lovely waiter. Everything we ate and drank was beautifully prepared and presented.
Server knowledgeable about special ingredients of the entrees. Successful staying on Keto diet.
Food was great. Service was great. Drinks were great. We had eight people in our party, taken care of by twos servers. They were outstanding. Will definitely go back.
Understaffed on Mother's Day Brunch. Service was slow and the food arrived late and cold.
This would be a tremendous restaurant if it had a little bit of personality and a better location. They drink menu rocks, and the food was very good. The service was uneven but certainly meant well.
Ambience and noise are not 5 simply because we chose to sit outside and the noise cannot be helped. Several incredibly large plants surround the patio and make a wonderful private courtyard feel. TJ being our server was the best! We’ve missed her. The grouper special was incredible as was everything we had. Definitely on our list now!
We went for brunch. I ordered a filet and it was room temperature and not cooked the way I requested. My son had the french toast and didn't like it at all. It was a little burnt.
There were 4 of us -- 1 glass of wine, 2 salads - 4 entrees with sides (a la carte), no dessert. $220. Atmosphere was nice but food was uninteresting. Service was decent but would have liked Waiter to keep water / tea glasses full. Salads (poached pear and wedge) had very little flavor though they were presented well. Redfish feature was tiny and skin unappealing. Salmon was good -- except the grey parts (fishy). Collard greens were fantastic! Pork chop was a bit tough. Filet was ok but flavor was nothing special. If we are back in Knoxville we won't be back to this restaurant.
Sea bass, pork chop, ratatouille, brussel sprouts, and carrot cake were all good, but the best thing we had was the scallops appetizer--perfectly cooked. Novel-sized wine list and a small group of good beer selections. The noise level was a little higher than I'd like, but maybe we were just there with people who don't have inside-voices.
We was celebrating a 60th Birthday and the Staff made it a perfect night. Everything was done top notch.
It was my birthday and we had a family reunion too. Folks coming from severe different states and arriving at different times. They were more than accommodating. The food was excellent. Helpful with a wine selection. I would go there again.
We gave them the assignment of creating an innovative experience and they did an amazing job. Fresh vegetables, gluten free, vegetarian, all requirements were met with eclat. Thank you for the memorial experience.
Reservations were flawless. Service was mostly very attentive and friendly. Everyone in our party ordered something different and all seemed satisfied. Portions are small for the price in some case. Very pleasant atmosphere and quite a weekend crowd, so noise level was higher than preferred for our gathering, but ok. Nice place for special occasions.
4 of us went to celebrate husband's birthday. Atmostphere was very nice, kind of business man's nice. Food was good, service excellent. Easy location to get to. Would definitely return.
