Bistro By The Tracks
across the globe with the familiar tastes of East Tennesee. Reviewers say " consistently spectacular"
with friendly "non-stuffy" service. Bistro by the Tracks is Knoxville's answer to great metropolitan dining."
The food was excellent as normal. The time until our food was delivered was longer than it should have been.
While we have always enjoyed the food and ambiance BbtT will rarely be in our dining rotation going forward. They've become too proud of themselves and the price/serving is no longer acceptable. Pasta of the day was my menu choice and I added shrimp and scallops to the entree. I was charged $24 extra for 5 shrimp and 2 scallops. And the pasta portion might have been about 3/4 cup. We were promised bread and this is the 2nd time we've been there and not been served bread. The chocolate cake was dry. The carrot cake was uninspired. So 2 cocktails, 2 house wines with dinner, 2 wedge salads, 2 pasta of the day - 1 with chicken and mine with the seafood, 2 desserts and coffee was $160 before tip. Usually we do salad or dessert, not both, but the portions were so small that we did both and were not overly full. I can spend that much at Citicos or Kitchen 919 and it will include a bottle of wine and appetizers and their ambiance, food quality and service are on par.
Overall our experience was good. My wife's filet was poor. The cut of meat was end and it was tasteless. Not sure if you ran out of good cuts but that put a damper on what was otherwise a nice evening.
The food was amazing, good selection of menu items, the atmosphere was definitely upscale without being pretentious, and Mike was a terrific server.
TJ was fantastic! We enjoyed the experience...great restaurant!
Food was very good. Portions for the entrees were not substantial. All items were a la carte.
The food was good quality but the seasonings on the item we ordered was not what we were expecting. We eat out at many different places, so I am comparing this restaurant to the same kind of places. The preparation just did not jump to and say "wow". It was good but would not rate it 5 stars. The ambiance of the restaurant is great and they have the most extensive wine list that I have seen. They may have some fantastic dishes, but the ones we tried, Three, were not. Price point was what I expected for this caliber restaurant but I was expecting an exceptional cut for the Pork Chop, it was thin for a bone in chop. Overall nice but not great.
Great spot for very good food with great wait staff!
One of the best meals had in Knoxville, really recommend this restaurant.
Found this place on Open Table while traveling. Very pleasant surprise.Lovely room in nondescript shopping center. Outstanding wine list and many interesting options for both appetizers and entrees. Food was very well executed and friendly and excellent service by Michael. Definitely worth a visit.
The food took to long to arrive at table we waited for over an hour and the restaurant was only 60% full.
Wait staff was friendly and like the layout just the kitchen is very slow.
Unfortunately, our food was not very good this visit. My gnocchi were hard and chewy and warm but not hot. Disappointing this time. We will return because usually we enjoy every bite.
As always, Bistro was wonderful. It is a stable, go to restaurant where you can never go wrong!
Still one of the best restaurants in the Knoxville area: food, service, ambiance, and value! Thanks!
Jerry was our waiter for our first and second visit here. He is such a lovely person and made the evenings even more special. This is a new favorite restaurant for us. The food is impeccable, and such a nice wine and cocktail selection. We will come back again and again on our travels through Knoxville.
We went to celebrate my parent's 63 wedding anniversary. They treated us like family!
Very large group of business people present making inappropriate amounts of noise made our usually relaxing midweek dinner frustrating. I will call ahead in the future to inquire regarding such groups again before dining .
Meatloaf was excellent. Other food not so much.
Brunch was wonderful!
We've been here a dozen times and love it every time we go. Such good food always!
This was our 2nd try at the BBTTs and it will be our last. The waitress (polite but had an attitude) told us the duck dish was pink inside when describing it, so I had some expectation, but what we got was a raw piece of poultry. No way was that going to be eaten. I asked for it to be cooked through, and it came back warmer, but I could only eat the edges and honestly it wasn't that good anyway. Even the crispy pieces used to cover/flavor the breast were not very tasty. Just salty and fatty obviously. The mussels, wine and Caesar salad were great and all the other staff were very pleasant.
We visited for lunch on a weekday, which, despite dining here many times for dinner over the years, we'd never done....brunch maybe, but not lunch. That said, it was a very nice experience with a variety of sandwiches and mains on offer. We had a group of four to dine and among us we all ordered something different. All the food was well prepared and fresh tasting, service was good and at lunch the place was fairly quiet with around 8-10 tables in use. For this quality lunch, the price point is good value as well. If you are in the Bearden area and want a quality lunch, this is a good choice.
Went there for my daughters anniversary, the food was outstanding we were all impressed with the sides and surprised by the reasonable prices. I would definitely go back.
We had a very nice celebration for our 50th Wedding Anniversary.
We had an excellent dinner experience!
We have been going to Bistro BTT for over 10 years, because we first went in the old location. The food, wine and service has always been excellent. Our last visit was on a busy Friday night, and the noise level was a little loud for pleasant conversation. But our main purpose was for the good and wine!
I usually enjoy dining at the Bistro by the Tracks, but for brunch, it was not a pleasurable experience. I made a reservation, which I ended up not needing because the restaurant was near empty. After my entire party arrived, it took several minutes (10+) to get everyone drinks and another unanticipated amount of time to take our orders. It took forever to get our food and our server was not attentive to our need for water and coffee refills. I try to keep my judgment in check when dining, especially as a former server, but this was unacceptable. The restaurant was not at all busy, so the delays in food and drink refills should not have occurred. It took 2+ hours for us to have brunch. If you want prompt brunch service, I would not recommend the Bistro By the Tracks.
I have never been disappointed, the is phenomenal and the service is so super friendly I love this place!
Great service. The food is great.
Small amount of food that was average to below average in taste. One of the dishes I ordered I could not even eat and no one in our party could eat it either. It was not a good experience.
I've lunched at this restaurant many times. I'm not sure if the restaurant is under new management or if it is the new wait staff. Our waiter was inattentive and slow. My food, specifically, the scallops were well below prior visits. I wasn't sure if the order was wrong or simply disinterest in getting it corrected. This was an important client meeting - I was quite disappointed.
I am a long-time, frequent patron. Went for Sunday brunch. The Pain Purdue was ok, but the cream cheese topping was off - not sweet enough, hard to describe-it was just weird. It was obvious that the dish had been sitting out for too long. Also, I found a long hair on the dish. The potatoes were way too spicy. The service was great, as always. I probably won’t be returning for brunch anytime soon. To be fair, I did not complain to the staff, so there was no opportunity to correct. I’m sure if I did, they would have made it right. Btw- I’ve never had a problem with dinner service.
My friends and I had a fantastic time. The food and service were impeccable.
Had a great anniversary with a great food and service at the Bistro. Definitely will be back
It was full on a a Tuesday evening with several large groups (6+ people to a table) so the noise level made conversation a bit challenging and the daily fish special was gone less than 2 hours into a 4 hour dinner service window BUT service was perfect, food came out timely (not rushed and not slow) and food quality was exceptional, as always.
Always great service and fantastic food.
We normally have had wonderful experiences at this restaurant, but this visit was a bit of a letdown. The shrimp toast was very good, however the mushroom soup needed more seasoning. We then had an unacceptably long wait until the Bistro Chopped Salad was served. It was obvious that the salads had sat in the kitchen awhile as the greens were soggy. Our waiter was friendly, but not very attentive.
The crispy skin salmon was fantastic & the service was great!
Really great! Everything we ate and drank was excellent. Service is outstanding and professional/cordial. Highly recommend.
