   We’ve been going to Bistro by the Tracks for decades including all four locations. The food is special, the wine list spectacular, the Scotch selection is outstanding, and the service is by far the best we’ve ever experienced.

   My husband and I along with another couple dined at Bistro by the Tracks this past Saturday. We all commented on the ambiance when walking in and how lovely the old brick was and, the layout of the restaurant. We all ordered soup/salad before our meals. Two people had the Tomato bisque and one had the Spring Vegetable . I had the Buttermilk Wedge and everything was fresh and delicious!! For dinner two of us had the Shrimp with Mushrooms, Coconut Cream and a slightly spicy red pepper. The other two had the Salmon with Strawberries and Tomatoes. It sounds strange but both dishes were absolutely fantastic. We will most definitely be going back for another meal!!!

   What I like about Bistro is that the chef is adventurous. Some of the dishes were outstanding and others I didn't like at all. But the food was interesting, and I really enjoyed that.

    Our dining experience was wonderful. Chef Robert is an excellent chef and every dish was amazing. Our server was very friendly and attentive!     The Bistro is quickly becoming my favorite place to go in Knoxville. Food is consistently good, ambience is great and quiet enough to have conversation without needing to shout. Service staff are very professional and take care of the guests.

    We celebrate special occasions like promotions at Bistro when they were in their old location. When my wife got a promotion we knew we would be celebrating at their new location in downtown. We were excited to see their new location. The place was great but we will never return again. We had appetizers and cocktails that came out timely. Our dinner however came out luke-warm and well after our chilled wine pairing for dinner had reached room temperature. We had to ask the waiter to our table. We told the waiter we were the third table in the restaurant during our reservation at 6pm yet we were still waiting for our dinner. He said there were a lot of tickets ahead of us. I pointed out to him that the restaurant is now full and directed his gaze at two tables who came in after us already enjoying their main courses. He did not apologize but said he would check on our ticket. No manager came to our table to address the situation. While waiting for our food I walked to the bathroom and saw that several guest on the other side of the restaurant who were not there before us also already had their courses while another already had a to go box. Sadly , We will not be back again.

    The Fall Fashion cocktail was nice, as was the salmon and chicken dish. The sweet potato with beet sauce was very good. Caesar salad dressing could have used a bit more punch

    Lovely restaurant with a couple of minor negatives: the Bouillabaise surprisingly had a tomato sauce base instead of the normal fish broth. Very different flavor. Also street parking nearby is limited. However, service was great and the environment very nice.

    The ribeye was NOT worth the price. It was cooked perfectly. It seemed unsalted (or at least waaay under salted) & unpeppered to allow for the chili coulis to overpower the flavor of the steak. i immediately regretted my entree choice once I tried the chili coulis. The chili coulis was NOT enjoyed by anyone at our table. We all felt that the chile coulis took away from the flavor of the ribeye. Perhaps a unique chimichurri, but not something so spicy & hot that it ruins the flavor of the meat. The appetizers, drinks, & service were all excellent!

    Daughter goes to UT; tried this for the first time. Will definitely be going back. Outstanding service. Food was delicious - super cool glass to see chefs working. Sent them a beer to finish the night - never saw that as an option before, which was so fun. Extensive scotch/whiskey options available. Highly recommend.

    Had reservations for 3 at 7:30 for over 3 weeks. Waited in bar, no seating or bar service, for 20-30 minutes. When I mentioned folks were walking “ins” grabbing bar seating we were given table for 2 with chair pushed into the walk way. There were a number of empty 2 tops that could have been pushed together. Refused table and waited for a four top to be cleared. May have been short staffed but appeared chaotic.

    Excellent as always. The NY strip steak special in mole sauce was suggested to us. We split it among both of us and enjoyed it immensely. Only complaint was that they no longer serve their delicious bread which was one of our favorites. Please bring it back!

    Steak was over cooked and food was too salty. Table was dirty. Service was great and it was a beautiful restaurant. I’m chalking the issues I had up to it being a holiday and then being busy. Usually everything is perfect.
