Loved the food and so did my date. Waiter was a tad forward towards me and didn’t know we were dating, but the service was wonderful as well.
Excellent food and great service! Would definitely recommend it to anyone!
Good food, great ambiance! Good price point.
Food is excellent, expensive but worth it
Delicious chowder in a bread bowl. Expensive but worth it. They have to pay rent right there on the pier, so the price makes sense. Just delicious. Ate upstairs - beautiful view. Great service. A great stop for tourists without a touristy vibe. Loved it.
This bistro is located on the 2nd floor above the noisy street and noisy market place, and it has a lot of space, decorated nicely, and quiet a good option if you want to dine in the city near Fishermen’s wharf or Girardeli square. Service was excellent, great pizza, sole fish was good, halibut fish was so-so. Can fit anti good reason for dining in a nice restaurant.
Food was good, rolls were cold and hard - it was busy so not sure if i'd go back, but probably not on Valentine's Day. My fiancé loved the pallela - my filet was ok.
Dinner on Valentine’s Day. Seated fast. They forgot our appetizer. No knife to cut the meat. Had to ask several times for a knife. Only refilled our drinks as the waiter brought the check. Food was delicious, view was lovely, and the prices are pretty good. Server was very nice but he looked like he was overwhelmed.
Awful service
Was disappointed that the menu was not the same menu shown when I was asked to confirm my reservation.
Food was fantastic! Our server was outstanding! Nice restaurant to take family or friends. Only complaint was the parking lot behind the restaurant. Took us 30 minutes to leave the lot. Other than that; would come back again!
The restaurant was very accommodating with my party ... Made a reservation for 7 but had two extra people join our group. I thought for sure they would make a stink about it but no the restaurant just added two more chairs to the table and began to seat us quickly.
Last minute change to menu on Valentine's day. We were looking forward to food that they removed from the menu. Long wait for water and to order. I was overcharged for an extra drink and dish. They quickly removed it but only because I checked, I hardly ever check - yay me for checking!
Brought my colleagues here for dinner. I’ve eaten here many times before and the food was terrific! This visit was no exception. Specialty drinks and wine were delicious. Spinach artichoke and crab dip was scrumptious with plenty of lumps of Dungeness crab. The sourdough bread toasts that came with it were way above average, probably because the place has its own bakery downstairs. Our table ate multiple baskets of the fresh sourdough - we barely had room for our entrees. Oysters on the half shell were fresh, plump and tasty. Seafood entrees included salmon and scallops, and all were fresh off the boat with unique preparations. Everything was delicious and filling, but we ordered dessert because they all sounded fantastic. I have dined here every time I visit San Francisco for the past ten years, and I will always have at least one meal here on my future visits! Great restaurant!
The porterhouse steak and the French onion soup are outstanding. The crab spinach artichoke dip was a bit overwhelmed with crab flavor.
This is the place to go if you want a fresh crab dish presented in a an elegant setting with a view of the bay. Other dishes also excellent from a great hamburger to full course dinners. The bread pudding made with the Boudin sourdough bread is to kill for.
Delicious, but touristy. And a price tag to go with it.
This was not the first time that I have been to Bistro Boudin. Good food and I enjoyed the tour that discusses the history of the company and the bread making process.
We were seated at a window table in the bar which was great for our group. Our server was excellent! Appropriately attendant. Friendly. I wish I could remember her name
It was our daughter’s 15th birthday and our experience was phenomenal!! We’ll be back
The food was quite tasty. We've been here several times in the past and I usually get the sole picatta. I ordered it again but this time it seemed a lot lighter on the amount of fish in the meal. It looked like one filet cut into three pieces and stacked on top of one another to make it look like more than there actually was. Definitely felt that the portion was pretty small for the amount (26.95) charged.
Chose this place cause of its location, my young daughter’s second trip to San Francisco and the food was a huge let down and way over priced. I’m am not a seafood eater but my wife and daughter are and they were disappointed with the clam chowder bread bowl and let down with the Mac and cheese with crab. I ordered the BBQ ribs, they were all fat and nerves. Sad meal then i was hit with the outrageous bill. I’m never one to complains about paying a high price for a good meal but this was nowhere near worth $150 for two adults and a six year old. Only saving grace was our server who offered advice on where to take our daughter to site see.
We had a wonderful evening at Boudin. Loved our meal and experience.
Beware of the cauliflower steak w/hummus. It was half a head of cauliflower with a cup of garbanzo beans poured overtop. Very misleading description.
Had a really wonderful dinner! Came for the sourdough bread and it did not disappoint! Everything was delicious! The service was great! Highly recommend!
We had a lovely dinner and enjoyed the views of the wharf while we ate. The food was very good but unfortunately they were out of one of the two bread bowl soups and had limited vegetarian options. Friendly atmosphere and great service.
Came here for a nice lunch after a cruise under the Golden Gate. The food was amazing, view from the patio was great and our waiter Ian J was very friendly and nice and made the experience even better for us! Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting SF.
They did the bets effort to kick us out of the place as soon as possible. Bad service. Never again.
Great place to bring out of town friends for dinner and drinks. The menu has some good hits and the cocktails are classic.
Dinner on New Years Eve. The waiter was very good and the food was tastey and good value. The overall experience was good and although it seemed a tourist oriented restaurant it had a nice ambience.
We very much liked the location and the ambiance of the restaurant. I wasn't impressed by the sourdough bread but this could be due to my high expectations. Overall food was okay but not great.
Every thing was very good. Best table with view, the half organic chicken was outstanding. Thank you!
Everything was delicious! Left feeling quite filled!
The food was really nice, although my main was delayed until we reminded our server, so everyone else ate without me. The cocktails were great, but again, when I ordered a second cocktail before my food arrived, this was forgotten about until well after our mains were finished. Our server seemed pre-occupied and brought us our Bill before we had finished desserts...
We arrived almost an hour early for our reservation and they sat us anyway! The restaurant was buzzing, food was great and service was on point. Thank you!!
Very impressive restaurant to take someone with a beautiful view of the bay. We were seated in the back room away from the main dining room where it was very quiet. Ordered the crab, spinach dip appetizer which was excellent. Dip was served with toasted sour dough bread slices. We had the crab Louie salad which was on the small side but enough for my girlfriend. Salad served with tomato slices, asparagus spears and on a bed of lettuce. The thousand island dressing was a bit tart and less sweet than I prefer. I had the fish and chips which was great, crispy batter on the fish and French fries were outstanding.
The goat cheese appetizer and the fish dishes were great. The ribeye and chicken were not. Stick to the fish or bread when dining here.
Quick, friendly service.
Food was excellent!
A little sad that they were out of shrimp for the shrimp cocktail. It must be amazing:). Next time!
The soup in bread bowl can be ordered downstairs, but the restaurant above serves some different fare. The crab cakes were above average. The pasta was surprisingly good and the fish and chips were a delightful surprise.
Great ambience and food.
