A reliable spot. Best bread bowl experience without the tourists.
Very good fish and wine at an affordable price !
Very nice moment
Had to wait for the table despite the reservation, service was slow and the food wasn’t that good.
Josh was wonderful and food was delicious! It was a positive experience
Our family of four had lunch here after the airport and before sightseeing around the wharf. Great food for all with generous portions of crab in the salads and chowder ( of course in a bread bowl. )Hamburger for the child was great. Fantastic views of the bay and a bread museum and walk around tour of the bakers and bread. They even have sculptures made of sourdough bread.
Very short walk to the museum of antique arcade games and dioramas, which is great for all ages.
Right next to that is the naval ship museum.
Lots to see and do.
We ate early, about 5:30. We were seated by the window and had a beautiful view. Our server was great. I had a bread bowl of the crab and corn chowder. My husband had a salad. Both were just what we wanted.
Fun and delicious place to go for lunch after visiting Alcatraz!
Great meal, awesome views, courteous service!
Great restaurant. Great food. Service was just okay. Definitely give it a try.
Our server was fantastic! We were lucky to be seated by the window with a great view of the bay. Food delish. Had the empanadas and fish n chips. A little pricey but that's San Francisco ☺️
Aubrey was a terrific waitress! Very personable and consistently checked on us to see what we needed.
Very slow service
Pasta much too oily.
Casual, good food
Excellent! Great view and delicious food! Plus the bread being made was fun to watch! Such a production! Very interesting! Nice piece of San Francisco history!
Cioppino and sourdough bread is very good. Server Gary is not
Service, food and drinks were fabulous!!! Steve E took excellent care of us. We left very happy & full.
This is generally a great place to go.. this time we just did not get the std of service we are used to.
Had a beautiful late lunch at Boudin.
The food was excellent and the bread is good as well, obviously.
Very slow service
I used to visit the bakery as a kid and it has changed completely! It has gone from a small bakery to a full fledge business with restaurant, gift store and awesome bread displays. We ate at the Bistro and the food was delicious from the surf and turf to the beef stew, there are great options for all tastes. The drinks and jazz group added to the sounds of the wharf and people going by at sunset from our balcony table.
First time my fiancée was in San Francisco. I had to take her to a local favorite.
Another great experience at Bistro Boudin! We were celebrating my sister-in-law and husband's 40th wedding anniversary and the service, the food and the ambiance were excellent as always! I had forgotten what chimichurri is, and it was served over my "perfectly cooked" filet mignon and my lobster. What a great addition to my meal! I have to admit that I was expecting it to be spicy and be disappointed, but NO! It was the original chimichurri! A BIG applause to the Chefs. You will see us again and again when we bring out-of-town guests or when we just want a good meal in a fun environment. By the way they also enjoyed the Boudin Museum. A perfect evening!
Was lovely. Bit pricey but nice. Would recommend to friends
We had a fantastic 18th birthday dinner here. Good drinks and delicious food with amazing views of the bay.
The waiter took forever to get our drinks and to even get to our table to introduce himself. I was disappointed especially because of how much money the bill was. It just wasn’t worth it. However, they do have an amazing crab cake.
They changed the crab dish from cold
To hot and it was just ok
Bring the cold dish back
A bit touristy, but still pretty food. Good location, and great bread!
The server was polite and expeditious with our orders. Needless to say, the food/bread was extraordinary. Each of us ordered different lunches (pizza, chowder bowl, salmon, steak sandwich) and all of us were overwhelmed by the portions and the flavor. ps - we loved the bread so much that some of us took a few loaves home and some ordered online to have it delivered back to the East Coast.
Poor service, very slow. However, great food and views.
It’s all about the sourdough of course. Perfectly airy and chewy.
It was for mom’s 89th Birthday. There were 13 of us making her day special. We were so full we know now to just order an assortment of appetizers. We loved everything! Thank you for making mom’s day special!
Food here is always good and the cocktail was just delicious. We found the booth uncomfortable but it was no problem for them to change out table for us.
OMG. Great food and service. The views are amazing. We highly recommend.
Amazing sea food, with North Cal specialties. Fried calamari and Clam chowder.
Food always amazing my boyfriend and I always stop here when we visit from San Diego. Only downside is yet again the women’s bathroom was flooded out. Had to wait over 10 mins to use the restroom, the line was right in the way of a large parties table and main walkway. Other than that always enjoys the bread tour and soup and bread bowls!
Vacation to celebrate our Anniversary
Everything was fine except the sliced sourdough bread in the basket. The bread crust was hard and we couldn't eat it. We asked for fresher bread and were told that that was all there was.
Made a reservation as we came in to town but wished we had waited and just took a chance with so many choices of restaurants available. Host were great, waiter not so good. I think he was having a bad night and didn’t want to be there or he thought we didn’t look like big tippers. He was right in this case, usually tip above average but was not tended to very well and felt rushed. Amaretto sour was really good, steak was good, chicken was good, lobster was ok, bread was ok.
Excellent food!!! Great in every way. We loved it!
