Had a great meal with friends for sunday brunch. Everyone really enjoyed their food and they had a great gluten free options.

We had a nice meal. The cauliflower/zucchini appetizer was very good, and much lighter than I expected. I loved the potato pancake/ratatouille combo and the spinach gnocchi was nice but a bit bland. The apple strudel was fine but a bit disappointing — very little apple-y taste to it. Overall, a good meal. We were seated in the bar area and I would request the back room next time — it seemed quieter.

This place is a gem! Czech-Eastern Euro. cuisine is a refreshing addition to the DC dining scene. Excellent food — simple and delicious. We had pierogis, roasted duck with red cabbage, apple strudel for dessert. Interesting wine/alcohol choices (try the grass vodka....you'll never order Grey Goose again). Great service from a friendly staff. Cozy and unpretentious — felt like we'd stepped into a small corner cafe somewhere in Prague.

WARNING
I checked in which offered a 10% off for brunch or lunch and they refused to honor it. This is the first time EVER I've run into a business that would not honor a check-in offer on Yelp.

FOOD: Gross. Honestly skip this restaurant!
Farmers Omelet $13
Potatoes, Ham, Mushrooms, Peppers, Tomatoes, Onion, Toast

Spinach & Roasted Tomato Omelet $13
Egg White Omelet, Spinach, Roasted Tomatoes, Toast

Potato Pancake $4
Potato pancake had a gummy texture, I'm not even sure it was potato?

BOTH omelets had the overcooked egg crust which tasted like a plastic wrapper. It comes with toast, but it's literally put on top of the omelet - it's no longer toast, it comes as soggy bread!

SERVICE:
What service? Took order, food was dropped off, didn't see server until I had to track her down to get the check. Maybe check on us to see if we need anything after the food is dropped off? We both wanted toast not soggy bread but we couldn't ever get the attention of our server to help us. Also wanted pepper (there is no salt/pepper on the table) and more coffee. Again - no service.

We visited this restaurant on a whim after going to the movies at Atlantic Plumbing, and it was decent. Note that the location is in something of a No Man's Land near LeDroit Park. Had the fried cheese, bratwurst trio, and beef goulash. Unfortunately, the beef was a bit dry, but the sauce and bread dumplings were authentically Czech. We also appreciated that the drinks were economical.

My wife and I were looking for a place for dinner after her Saturday work and came accross the Bohem Bistro by accident. We are from Eastern Europe and well acquainted with the cuisine so, we decided to try it and were fully rewarded: their food was excellent and the cafe was very cozy. We were first visitors after they opened for the night but after it has become filled with visitors it got a bit noisily: the cafe room is quite small while as normally in America, people use to talk very loudly in restaurants, but this is not the Bistro's fault, of course. Also, when we were the only visitors, we were served fast but when the cafe was full, the waiter was torn between many people and we had to wait quite long. He was very friendly and corteous but probably the management should think about adding one or two waiters during rush hours. We will definitely come here again, moreover, it's in 300 meters from my wifes's work.

Excellent Czech food. Great Czech beer. We did not try the Czech wine but it looked interesting and the prices were reasonable. Tomas Satoransky likes this place, and he ought to know.

Advisedthe restaurant we were there for a 65th birthday and hoped to do something special and they offered us nothing.
Tried to redeem a Dining Reward which was identified during Open Table booking and the owner claimed he knew nothing about rewards. Would not have booked there if I had known they would not honor my reward.
Food adequate, service acceptable but nothing to rave about. Relatively cheap meal for that part of DC, otherwise not remarkable given so many dining alternatives in DC.

There was a wire - the kind you use to tie a loaf of bread - cooked into the eggs of my breakfast sandwich.

Had an amazing dinner with friends at Bistro Bohem the other night. The food was delicious, and they have a great offering of different wines you won’t see on every other menu in town. The service was also great!

Terrible restaurant- I would not recommend. Food took over an hour to come to our table and when it did arrive, it was flavorless/bland and there was no apology that it was late.

We came at 2:00 PM for a Saturday brunch. The restaurant was very full - we were glad we got reservations. Our waiter was friendly and professional. The Smažáčky (Lightly Breaded Fried Provolone, Bistro Aioli) was a tasty appetizer. My H a l u š k y was a very solid stick-to-your-ribs plate. The other members of the party were quite satisfied with their bratwurst and schnitzel meals. You can’t have anything else than a great Czech beer with this food and there are several varieties to choose from - go for it!
The nutella crepes were awesome.
The atmosphere is casual. It was noisy when we went. We also parked in a parking lot about three blocks away instead of the headache of looking for street parking. Overall, we really enjoyed the experience and we will definitely return. I definitely recommend Bistro Bohem.

Met friends for dinner at Bistro Bohem; we hadn't seen each other in a long time and wanted a place where we could talk and enjoy good food. We all very much enjoyed the food, service, atmosphere, etc. One person ordered a drink and the waiter brought something slightly different because he said the bartender knew the drink wouldn't be good the way it was ordered so it was made differently. Some people would absolutely hate this but we went with the flow - it was such a European thing to do! Our table was next to the window which must get chilly sometimes so there where fleece lap blankets in every chair - also very European. Great fun, great service, food seemed very authentic; all in all it felt like a little getaway to Eastern Europe. Would definitely go back.

Sunday brunch was disappointing. Our party of 2 ordered and were told 2 of the items we ordered were not available. We chose this place for the borscht - and it wasn't available, as well as another item. Service was also lacking. We did not get full attention. The grilled cheese and egg sandwich was not as described since the bread was not grilled and the cheese was not grilled onto the bread. It was just an omlette placed in a sandwich.

The food is yummy-very good service! They could not find my reservation (it was under diff name) but they assured me it was not a problem and seated me and my guest immediately. I lived how quickly they cleared away the dirty plates from our table and freshened up our coffee without being asked.

Our food was warm but not hot.
The goulash is so heavy that I didn’t want to eat so much. The Perogies w meat were the best part and chicken schnitzel was best as well.

Our group were pleasantly surprised by the food quality and value of this fine establishment. I had forgotten how good Eastern European food is. Bistro Bohem offered several good menu options to allow for a good sampling. When visiting DC again, I would certainly be more than hapy to return here.

We had high hopes for their Sunday Brunch. The server was a ghost(gone for 20 minutes to find hot sauce, no water refills, didn't even bring half the entree's out himself). Three of us got the "House Favorite" chicken schnitzel and waffles. Reviews ranged from disappointed to feeling sick after. The chicken was incredibly dry and flavorless, the waffle was decent. When we left, every staff member in the front had their heads buried in their cell phones, which explained the poor service. Overall, there are better brunch spots to drop $30 a person on.

Food is excellent and as authentic as you might encounter at a better class of restaurants in Czech towns, while I assume they have difficulty finding some ingredients of the similar quality as in the CR. Beer is good too: some of the Czech brands are their 'export' version with different flavour, which one of the staff kindly so advised me and asked me if I would try some before order.
Friendly and cozy atmosphere both inside and outside. The inside was almost full but still not noisy, partly because there was no loud TV/music on and the customers enjoyed conversation at ordinary volume . The air conditioner was set at an average temperature in the US, but a bit too cold for us grown up in the old world: this was not a big problem as we were well prepared for that.
Would definitely return.
