Bistro Bistro Ratings and Reviews
Had dinner the night before for 2, recommended it the next night for a party of 6 coming from a conference from which it was easily walkable from the hotel. Has a nice menu, varied cuisine, appetizers, entrees, salads, and including some Italian specialties and even sandwiches and pizza. Food was nicely prepared and reasonably priced. Was quiet enough for conversation even though busy. Very attentive and personal service, including surprised comping the table with a serving of each of the 6 dessert choices on the menu and providing boxes to take back the leftovers.
What a beautiful place. We went to Bistro on Saturday night and we got a blast. The food, the service and the ambiance were great. The maître D took care of us and he offered us a few desserts and champagne on the house .We highly recommend Bistro Bistro to our office in DC .Thanks William for ur help and kindness
We are visiting Washington DC and had a really wonderful dinner at Bistro Bistro. I had the lamb chops which were great and my daughter had the chicken cordon bleu which she really enjoyed. The prix fixe meal also came with salad, desert and a glass of champagne. Atmosphere was relaxed and the service was great.
I was actually quite surprised how good this place was. This was a last-minute decision. I popped on in there they got me right in. The veal was outstanding the service was great. The house wines were fantastic I was very pleased I would highly recommend
We were a group of four. We had two orders of calamari and it was divine. The calamari was perfectly cooked and the crispy, crunchy coating on the squid was delicious. I ordered the chicken cordon bleu which was covered in a reddish sauce and at first I wasn't sure that it was actually what I had ordered. The flavors of the chicken, ham, and cheese with the reddish sauce was incredibly delectable. My partner and my friend both ordered the Steak frites and while they both ordered it medium rare it came out mooing and they had to send it back to get the right temperature. All the same, the final product was quite good. The fourth of our group ordered pasta and clams. He said it was great. We received a complimentary digestive of lemoncello as well as a complimentary slice of cheesecake. The dessert and after-dinner drink were nice touches. My friend and her husband had arrived before my partner and myself and commented about the slowness of service. Saying that it took 20 minutes for a glass of wine and another 15 for a Martini is why the service rating was lower.
What an unexpected evening! I made a reservation via Open Table trying to find a last min. spot for a business dinner of 10 people. We ended up having a blast. We had exceptional service, the portions were great, the salads were fantastic and most of all everyone was at ease and had a fun time. The owner and crew were so friendly they surprised us with free dessert and Kir Royals at the end of the dinner. The place is large, clean and it the middle of Dupont Circle, I could not believe our luck. I would definitely go back and recommend the place for large groups. They flawlessly handled our last min. table of ten with no problem. The owner and staff were very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our group. We will go back.
Very impressed with the quality of this restaurant-the waiters were very attentive and the food was fantastic. I highly recommend the meat here it's very good! The dessert menu also caters to many different tastes and palettes- everyone should check it out.
I loved this restaurant. The restaurant has a great selection of the way they prepare mussels and the the mussels bistro with clams was wonderful. My #1 and I had linguine with either clams or a seafood medley and both were awesome. This is a lovely site that offers outside dining. It is a great place where we had a relaxing dinner after a day of sightseeing and it was perfect. We will be back soon when in the area.
We had a great meal there. Had gone to the Philips and then went to the restaurant. One of the few serving at 5 when the museum closed. The drinks were hefty on the alcohol, not light as in most restaurants. The fish was fresh and cooked just right.
My one criticism is that happy hour is only served at the bar, and my husband and I, being senior citizens, are kind of beyond sitting in high bar stools. So we couldn't take advantage of happy hour at this restaurant or really at most restaurants.
This is a very nice restaurant that is definitely worth a try. We went on a Saturday night and were quite pleased with the service and the food. My girlfriend had chicken cordon bleu and it was delicious. I had steak frites and thought it was cooked to my instructions and seasoned nicely with a shallot sauce. The waiter was attentive and kept our water glasses filled, which usually earns points in my book. The ambiance is pretty decent with an open front wall viewing the busy street. We enjoyed the evening and were given complimentary champagne and dessert. It was much appreciated and it is likely that I would return to Bistro Bistro in the future.
We made a reservation at Bistro Bistro for my girlfriends birthday. We had an amazing time. Great food and awesome service. The menu has about 8 different types of mussel dishes to try- which was very tasty. Highly recommend for a birthday party because, for a party of 6 or more the birthday dinner, cake, and champaign is on them. We ended our meal with a champagne toast- what a great time! Highly recommend.
I waited over 40 minutes for my food to come out partially frozen. I cut into my steak and it was mostly frozen with no searing. I ordered a side salad that never arrived. My colleagues and I agree that day old Burger King would have more flavor than this attempt on quality food. The open table reviews steered me wrong.
The service was great - Ahmed and those who assisted were very warm, friendly and accommodating. Each of us had different entrees. The food was delicious! We all enjoyed our selections. It was Restaurant Week and we were pleased with our choice of this restaurant.
We went for a bachelorette dinner. The food was wonderful. Even better, the service was top-notch. The wait staff made the bachelorette feel very special. The dinner was capped off by a complimentary bottle of champagne to celebrate the occasion. The wait staff really made the experience fantastic! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for quality food and quality service.
We had a group of 10 there for lunch, for Restaurant Week. We made the reservation ~2 weeks in advance. Despite this advance warning, and despite the restaurant not being overly crowded (maybe 10-12 tables total, of which we were the only large group), it was the slowest meal I've had in years. We ordered fairly promptly, and it took around an hour for our appetizers to arrive. All in, the meal took over 2 hours, which for a weekday (work) lunch with a set menu, is absurd. The servers were clearly stressed, and were extremely apologetic--it seemed to be a kitchen issue. And the food was decent. But several members of our group had to get their entree boxed to go due to the delay.
It was a very disappointing dinner. From Kinda awkward server, who could not explain much about the dishes, took a very sloppy prepared meal. After having meal at the restaurant, I understand why it was empty during the restaurant week at 7 PM. The cherry on the cake was incorrectly processed payment.
I made a reservation here on the basis it was 1,000 points reservation. Food was very basis and very average for price point. Clearly not a lot of culinary skill in kitchen. Service was good it was 6.30pm and restaurant had very few guest. Furthermore when I received my points from Open Table I only received 100 points not the 1,000 as promised so I duly called the restaurant and was told to contact Open table .
I usually give high praise in my reviews but this is one instance where I would neither return or recommend.
