Bistro Albertino Ratings and Reviews
We were late fpr our reservation and the resturaunt was nearly empty at 10 pm. The staff seated us and provided rapid service the food was fantastic and the service equally as good. I'm sure the staff was ready to close up but they allowed us to linger over our wine and conversation with an easy patience. One of the most inderrated resturaunts in the area.
We ate here with friends this past Saturday night. I was glad we had a reservation because the restaurant was nearly full when we arrived at 7:00 pm. My husband had the grilled octopus appetizer which he said was delicious. We all enjoyed our entrees (salmon, chilean sea bass, steak) and the service was great. The only thing we were disappointed in was that some in our party wanted to try the butternut squash ravioli and they were out of it. I guess that means it was very good, but it surprised me a little that they were out of a special at 7:00 on a Saturday night. We will be back!
This was the second time here. The first time the food was very good and we thought it was definitely worth another try. This time my food (the four cheese tortolonie) was very good but my wife got a pasta special with scallops and it was horrible! the scallops were absolutely tasteless and the past wasn't much better. She sent it back and decided she didn't want anything else. The waiter was very sorry about this and did not charge us for the dish which was the right thing to do.
We will surely give them another try, hoping it was just one bad dish.
We've eaten at Bistro Albertino a number of times. This past Saturday night was the best yet. The food was delicious, especially the grilled romaine salad and the branzino special. My wife's chicken parm, especially the sauce, was also really good. Our servers were excellent, and all were incredibly nice.
I don't understand why waitstaff at other restaurants can't figure out how being nice to customers really adds to the dining experience. Bistro Albertino gets it. Their waitstaff are all professional and always nice.
We had dinner here recently and the food was delicious. In fact, of all the times we have eaten here, we have never been disappointed! The service is good and the prices reasonable. It's BYOB, so bring your favorite wine. We will be back and continue to recommend Bistro Albertino to our friends!
We are regulars at Bistro Albertino and keep coming back for the great food and service. We have ordered many of the regular menu items and often try a special or two and are never disappointed. The pasta is outstanding as are all of the chicken and veal dishes.
What an amazing restaurant!!!!! The reviews said it was very good and the menu looked promising. We didn't expect to be wow'ed by everything we were served. All of the food was cooked perfectly and their use of seasonings is excellent. Can't wait to eat here again!
Met a friend here for dinner. When we walked in, we were immediately seated at our table. The waitress was extremely attentive to our needs throughout the meal. We both ordered the same entree (shrimp with pasta, dried tomatoes) and it was good. For the price, a small side salad should have been included since the dish only had 5 shrimp but a ton of pasta. We each ordered dessert; definitely worth it to save room for the tiramisu.
The arugula salad was good. The tomato sauce on the linguini and clams, was the worst Ive ever had. My friend ordered the ribeye steak medium rare and it came out well done. We informed the waiter who said the chef apologized. No offer to replace it or take off money. No bread was offered during the meal. I won't go back.
Bistro Albertino is a small, cozy, BYOB restaurant in Willow Grove. It's a neighborhood gem with good food and good service. I believe, during our visit, different servers came to our table. They all are polite and pleasant. We ordered the octopus appetizer. It was very tender and tasty. My veal was a little bit salty to my taste. But it's still delicious. Their dessert menu looked good. According to the staff, all their desserts were made on site. Unfortunately we're pretty full. We did not try any. Maybe next time just go for dessert!
Excellent food, as always. We had a very diverse group of eaters and they satisfied everyone! Unfortunately, there was a very large party seated right next to us with lots of kids, our conversation ability greatly improved once they left. Wonderfully paced meal that was enjoyed by all. Not too many places that 8 people can dine leisurely, with their own wine, from 7pm till 9:45! We love our neighborhood gem for all of the aforementioned reasons and don't forget to mention the wonderful, complimentary limoncello!
A small gem located on York Rd in Willow Grove, we actually passed it and needed to make a U turn to enter the lot on the side of the building. My boys and I made a reservation but probably didn't need one as it wasn't crowded at all. Quickly seated, water glasses filled and fresh bread arrived with a delightful pesto spread. This is a BYOB restaurant and the waitress pulled the cork and filled our glasses before taking our order. The homemade potato gnocchi in Gorgonzola sauce was superb and my youngest son enjoyed his linguini and clams. The oldest enjoyed one of the evening specials, ravioli with sun dried tomatoes, bacon and shrimp in a garlic white wine sauce. A truly satisfying meal, no one had room for dessert but did enjoy the little complimentary shots of orangecello ending the meal. Do yourself a favor and give them a try. You'll be pleased you did.
