Arrived on time for our reservation. Even though the new owner was overwhelmed with Open Table reservations that he had no idea existed...he still seated us calmly, pleasantly and promptly, and it was already packed. It was obvious that the staff were incredibly overwhelmed, but our waitress, Tracy, was so friendly and KEPT SMILING. I hope they figure out the Open Table application, but in any case, they worked their derrieres off! We ate great tasting burgers and fries and danced a lot and had a fun evening.
The service staff looked like they had all just stepped off the set of C- Metal band video shoot. The service was unimpressive. I was told the steak was good, and mine was. My wife's chicken was awful though.
Al made sure I had reserved seating and greeted me once I was seated!
Fun place, great music Wash Park Band. Great service from friendly and fun waitress.
Good for live bands on Friday & Saturday nights. Not tons of seating. I did make reservations online, I also called and spoke to employee in regards to my reservations prior to us showing up. When we arrived (party of 6) our "reservation" table was a 4-top. We had to "squish" together for seating. I wasn't overly thrilled but nothing much I could do. We still had fun listening to the band, dancing and people watching.
We had such a great time celebrating my brothers bday! Thank you Bistro Al Vino!!!
We didn't eat - drinks and service was just fine.
We love going to Bistro Al Vino - The owner is a gentleman and the staff is friendly. Great place for dancing!
This was a REALLY odd place to dine. We walked in and (honestly) almost walked right out. The place looks like a dive, smells like it used to be a smokers' heaven, and just looks overall disheveled. But we had read some reviews about the food and decided to stick it out. Well, lo and behold, the reviews were right: the food is pretty darned good. Sooo... if you don't particularly care about looks and are not an OCD germ freak, then, yes, go and have some good food. But--just keeping it real here--this place ain't for everyone.
Bistro Al Vino is a fun, unique venue having the owner's presence be part of the experience. It has very good food, decent drink prices, some very enjoyable live music, and a good-sized dance floor. It is great having it "in the neighborhood" as an entertainment option.
A good place too meet friends Thursday night crowd is for those that 50/60 music.
We reserved a table for 10....unfortunately a portion of our reserved table was giving to another party even though we arrived early. We were told "sorry there's nothing we can do". Therefore, some of our guests had to stand for dinner
Love going to Al Vino's!! There was a mix up on our time that was scheduled ..we didn't get a table..however we sat at the bar...had a great time with friends. Wash Park band was awesome...
Thanks to all the staff !!
Awesome! Great food, band was rocking it! Phat Daddy packs the place!
you had a singer j that was outstanding I would come to hear him again
Simply the best of everything! Food is fabulous! Owner is very accommodating! Staff is friendly. Fun venue to hang out with friends!
Really good food! Our table was ready for us when we arrived. Friendly staff. A fun night out with friends.
Bistro Al Vino is one my favorite places to hang with friends, eat, listen to great bands and dance. We go often and have never been disappointed.
The name of this restaurant would imply a winebar with a nice ambiance. That is not the case. This is more like a biker bar.The menu was stuck to the table and restaurant did not appear clean. We left before ordering anything.
The food was very good and the wine selection was great!
Enjoy Thursday's happy hour and dancing to Tony David's music. Especially like the Ahi Tuna Salad:)
Love this place! The owner is adorable and "meets and greets" with every guest. He will dance with you, have a drink with you. He takes service to a whole new level. Best Live music in Denver and there is never a cover to get in!
I have been several times for the amazing food and specials but I always come away and think to myself "what was that?" It's like a 5 star restaurant in the middle of a dive bar. Which is right up my alley!
This was a unique experience indeed
Dirty, chairs are torn and taped with thick black tape
Al never greeted us or even acknowledged we were there
We were sat at a table, then asked to move as the table was reserved.
Great local bar for fun and great food. They have live music time to time and it's a big hit. Based on 4/8/16, their dance floor should be bigger!
My friends and I love celebrating our birthdays and other special occasions here. The food is tasty, the wait staff are friendly and fast, and the bands are always great and get the crowd dancing.
Reserved a table and when we arrived, there were no tables available in the dining room, so we were seated in the bar at a hightop. Not ideal for my father. Food was okay, nothing special. Noise level got progressively louder as expected for the bar area to the point that we were yelling across our four top table to converse with one another. Not a good experience at all. Service was not attentive. Won't be back. This place is off the list.
Great and friendly neighborhood restaurant bar. The dinner pork special that the chef prepared was fantastic as well as the brie fruit plate! Great food for a good price. The bar and wait staff are always friendly, and the live bands are fun to dance too. Fun to have by all for a groups celebrating birthdays etc.
I invited 4 girlfriends to join me for dinner and dancing. This was an awesome place for that. We had great food (maybe not over the top but certainly very good) and great prices and great wine. The selection was good. We sat in a booth which fit 5 or 6 women and we could hear each other talk during the music because we were not on top of the dance floor. Al was awesome to us and even danced with a few of us. He greeted us as soon as we walked through the door. All in all, we voted to do more girls night out at Bistro Al Vino's!
Been many times for the live music and bar. First time for dinner. The band hadn't started yet so it was not to loud. Even when the band was playing the dining booths were still Ok. The online menu does not match the current offerings. Our server, who was quite good, mentioned they have had so chef issues so the menu was limited. Our table top needed repair. The wine "cellar " looked disorganized and messy. My steak was tough and gristley although it was large and cooked as ordered. The side of broccoli and mushrooms was gritty. My wife's hamburger was good and came with a bunch of fries. Pretty good band that night and a big dance crowd.
I've made numerous reservations at Al's to have dinner, drinks and listen to my favorite bands. He's never once let me down and always gives us a great table!
Always a wonderful experience. Brought new friends to experience the warmth that Al brings to his place and he did not disappoint. Even with a band, there was a comfortable sound level.
This is NOT a wine bar. This is a neighborhood bar posing as a wine bar. When you walk in you can clearly see that this place is trying to appeal to a certain crowd and its not a nice low key night. If I wanted to go to a bar and watch football and each chicken wings I would go here.
I came here on a date with my wife and they knew nothing about wine , nor did the atmosphere have a quiet feel.
The atmosphere and hospitality at Bistro al Vino was amazing! The owner greeted and spoke with the patrons throughout the whole night. We never had to ask for anything from the wait staff because they were always at our table before we could finish our food or drinks. Our reservation was was available at exactly 7:00 PM. We will definitely return in the future!
The food, the fun, and the way Al makes you feel when you arrive is so warm and special.
The seating was wonderful and the food was fresh and fine. Doing fun there is easy, because the place just invites fun. Enjoy the way Al greets you and takes good care of you as your evening becomes one to remember.
It was our first visit: we enjoyed the tuesday night music, and found the food to be excellent.
This is a great place to come and listen to live music and dance. The service during our dining experience was not good. It took too long to get our food, then the food was cold when we got it and the order was not correct. Don't eat here - just come for a drink and the music.
We only attend when the Wildfire Band is there. Not a place we would go to for fine dining !
Food was great. However my dish of Mahi Mahi, mashed potatoes, and asparagus was served in a bowl. Odd choice.
when a Al suggested to my girlfriend that if all of the party was not there in 10 minutes he was going to give our table away my reservation was at 745 everybody got there at 8 o'clock
