Bistro Al Vino Ratings and Reviews
Arrived on time for our reservation. Even though the new owner was overwhelmed with Open Table reservations that he had no idea existed...he still seated us calmly, pleasantly and promptly, and it was already packed. It was obvious that the staff were incredibly overwhelmed, but our waitress, Tracy, was so friendly and KEPT SMILING. I hope they figure out the Open Table application, but in any case, they worked their derrieres off! We ate great tasting burgers and fries and danced a lot and had a fun evening.
Good for live bands on Friday & Saturday nights. Not tons of seating. I did make reservations online, I also called and spoke to employee in regards to my reservations prior to us showing up. When we arrived (party of 6) our "reservation" table was a 4-top. We had to "squish" together for seating. I wasn't overly thrilled but nothing much I could do. We still had fun listening to the band, dancing and people watching.
This was a REALLY odd place to dine. We walked in and (honestly) almost walked right out. The place looks like a dive, smells like it used to be a smokers' heaven, and just looks overall disheveled. But we had read some reviews about the food and decided to stick it out. Well, lo and behold, the reviews were right: the food is pretty darned good. Sooo... if you don't particularly care about looks and are not an OCD germ freak, then, yes, go and have some good food. But--just keeping it real here--this place ain't for everyone.
Bistro Al Vino is a fun, unique venue having the owner's presence be part of the experience. It has very good food, decent drink prices, some very enjoyable live music, and a good-sized dance floor. It is great having it "in the neighborhood" as an entertainment option.
Reserved a table and when we arrived, there were no tables available in the dining room, so we were seated in the bar at a hightop. Not ideal for my father. Food was okay, nothing special. Noise level got progressively louder as expected for the bar area to the point that we were yelling across our four top table to converse with one another. Not a good experience at all. Service was not attentive. Won't be back. This place is off the list.
Great and friendly neighborhood restaurant bar. The dinner pork special that the chef prepared was fantastic as well as the brie fruit plate! Great food for a good price. The bar and wait staff are always friendly, and the live bands are fun to dance too. Fun to have by all for a groups celebrating birthdays etc.
I invited 4 girlfriends to join me for dinner and dancing. This was an awesome place for that. We had great food (maybe not over the top but certainly very good) and great prices and great wine. The selection was good. We sat in a booth which fit 5 or 6 women and we could hear each other talk during the music because we were not on top of the dance floor. Al was awesome to us and even danced with a few of us. He greeted us as soon as we walked through the door. All in all, we voted to do more girls night out at Bistro Al Vino's!
Been many times for the live music and bar. First time for dinner. The band hadn't started yet so it was not to loud. Even when the band was playing the dining booths were still Ok. The online menu does not match the current offerings. Our server, who was quite good, mentioned they have had so chef issues so the menu was limited. Our table top needed repair. The wine "cellar " looked disorganized and messy. My steak was tough and gristley although it was large and cooked as ordered. The side of broccoli and mushrooms was gritty. My wife's hamburger was good and came with a bunch of fries. Pretty good band that night and a big dance crowd.
This is NOT a wine bar. This is a neighborhood bar posing as a wine bar. When you walk in you can clearly see that this place is trying to appeal to a certain crowd and its not a nice low key night. If I wanted to go to a bar and watch football and each chicken wings I would go here.
I came here on a date with my wife and they knew nothing about wine , nor did the atmosphere have a quiet feel.
The atmosphere and hospitality at Bistro al Vino was amazing! The owner greeted and spoke with the patrons throughout the whole night. We never had to ask for anything from the wait staff because they were always at our table before we could finish our food or drinks. Our reservation was was available at exactly 7:00 PM. We will definitely return in the future!
The food, the fun, and the way Al makes you feel when you arrive is so warm and special.
The seating was wonderful and the food was fresh and fine. Doing fun there is easy, because the place just invites fun. Enjoy the way Al greets you and takes good care of you as your evening becomes one to remember.
This is a great place to come and listen to live music and dance. The service during our dining experience was not good. It took too long to get our food, then the food was cold when we got it and the order was not correct. Don't eat here - just come for a drink and the music.
