Bistro Aix - SF
Best food and staff ever!
Dinner with my family, yummy food and nice atmosphere. I wasn’t overwhelmed with the service...it was really neither here nor there.
Bistro Aix continues to impress. Especially fond of their duck confit, but everything here is impressive. Great specials. Great wine list. Knowledgeable staff with a personal touch.
This place is one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants.
We keep coming back — over 10 years! We bring friends, guests & just us 2! It’s our fave Sf restaurant.
Beautifully prepared food that was well priced. Loved every aspect of this place.
Came here for my bday dinner with a group of 6 and it was great! The plates are perfect for sharing with everyone. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are good! The back room is beautiful and quiet. The server we had was amazing as well even brought me a lil chocolate cake with a candle :)
Went here after a movie. Right around 9:00PM on a Monday night. Obviously not a busy time, but the service was still on point. The food was delicious. Definitely going back to try some more of the menu soon!
Really good appetizer and main meal
Was served hot and very tasty
This is one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants! I had out of town guests with me who really
Peter is an exceptional server as I have found everyone in the restaurant to be.
I will continue to recommend this placed to many!
Our go to restaurant in San Francisco. CLASSIC. Can’t beat the food or the service. It feels like you’re a part of the family.
Delicious food!! Great ambiance.
Great food - halibut & tuna
Wonderful blueberry pie
Always enjoy dinning here!
Bistro Aix is our go to restaurant when we have to make a quick trip into the city. Food is always really good and very fresh. Excellent value with an interesting wine list.
Great people. Definitely a neighborhood gem with lots of locals. Got packed early and quickly. Will definitely recommend and be back.
Always pleased with Bistro AIX with food & service!! Great neighborhood restaurant!
We've dined at Boho several times over the past year or so and consistently enjoy everything about it. The food is prepared and seasoned so well, even the vegan entrees are done beautifully. The service is one of the best we've experienced.....warm, friendly, and patient! I do wish the back room was still available for dining, but I assume there are good reasons it's not. I hope the restaurant is enjoying the success it deserves. We plan on keeping it on our "favorite" list. Thank you, Boho.
Bistro Aix is a charming neighborhood restaurant that never disappoints.
On a prior visit about two years ago, we had a great meal but lousy service. That has really changed! Great service and still great food. Wine list chosen by someone who knows a great deal about wine, but starting at $50 per bottle lessened our choices. We will put this restaurant as a regular go-to place.
The food is always excellent and the wine list spot on. The value can't be beat in the city. Our go to for date night and tried for team dinner of 8 - everyone was impressed.
Wonderful wine selection and knowledgeable sommelier. Food was excellent. Duck Confit particularly good. Beautiful garden room with olive tree. Will go back.
It's one of our favorite restaurants in the area and always a go to place.
We have eaten at Bistro Aix for years. It is getting tired and needs upgrading. Wooden built in seats are scratched and need refinishing. The food is good but the portions are small and Jonathan Beard does not charge enough for his preps. The noise level is high and the nite we ate there early there were at least 4 small children running around screaming with no evidence of parental concern for the noise level.
The dinner was delicious. Our server was knowledgeable as well as fun. Overall, a delightful experience.
Service is particularly outstanding - particularly if you're not interested in being treated like royalty, but just like a decent human being! Servers seem to enjoy working there.
Love this spot
Whether you want a quiet spot in their back atrium decorated of a lit up olive tree or more buzz at the bar or front of the restaurant, lovely food, service team is great!
Some context, we did have a 9pm reservation.
Our group of 8 sat down and the waitress came back 3 times ( yes 3 times ) after taking our order to tell us the items/dishes that were no longer available on the menu after we had ordered them.
Not a great start, after that, 6 of us got our main course and the other 2 came after we were all almost finished.
What the chef had to say is that it is a small kitchen so the food cannot come all at the same time. No excuse either from him or effort to try to make up for it.
I do not recommend this restaurant for a large party or a special occasion. Otherwise the food is good and better to seat at the bar.
Really good food, ordered a variety of small plates all delicious. Service was attentive and good humored. Would absolutely go back.
They don’t take Amex.
In this day and age, That is unacceptable. How embarrassing (for both of us!)
A fantastic classic gourmet experience at a very reasonable price point - absolutely unique in an area full of hollow “design” restaurants and places where most pay with other people’s money
Food was pretty good. I would go back and try different things to get a better idea. Our waitress was amazing!
Another fantastic experience! Excellent service and delicious food, creatively prepared.
Thank you Bistro Aix!!
Always a pleasure to here.
The food was good, especially the butternut squash soup. Our server was very good and did inquire about whether our food was to our liking.
High quality ingredients and well prepared. Interesting and diverse menu. Our server was knowledgeable and efficient. We had an excellent meal.
Get the calamari along with a spicy pasta along with one of their excellent Pinots. You will be very happy.
One of the best neighborhood bistros in SF. If you sit in the front of the house dining area, the bar (occupied mostly by other diners) chatter tends to dominate the room. That’s part of the charm, but can sometimes be annoying.
Bistro is always consistently great. They made a nice birthday desert for my 18 year old son and took care of us beautifully.
It’s a good bistro - with good quality food - really well cooked. The restaurant was out of a lot of the menu (6/7 items) by 8p on a Saturday night and that seems to be a general weakness in operations. Wait staff was nice, but a little disorganized - management a tad aggressive, but certainly concerned about customers. The music was unconventional and a little challenging - but added to the ambience which was upbeat.
Definitely will be trying again as the food was really good, but if the operational weaknesses are still there I’ll take it off the list.
