Bistro 72 At Hotel Indigo East End
Not what I anticipated, food was sort of bland, all of us ordered 4 petite filet mignons, steak was tender and cooked perfectly however they were missing that "steak flavor". Probably not a good grade. Vegitables were ok, but salty. Mashed potatoes also had a funny taste, not fresh. I will most likely not return to dine, bar atmosphere was nice, and they had a guy singing and strumming a guitar, who was very talented.
Dinner was delicious and we enjoyed the music.
Awesome. Delicious local food artfully served.
Calamari was excellent. Rack of lamb cooked perfectly rare as ordered. Duck breast cooked perfectly as well. Fried pickles, hummus plate, tuna tower...very tasty!!
Food was good although pricey. Portion sizes were fair. We sat outdoors which is very nicely decorated and grounds are kept clean. Live music which was an added bonus. Food did take too long to serve from the time ordered(over 1 hour). We had 8 people in our party. 18% Gratuity was automatically added to our bill; maybe because we had over a certain number of people. Overall good place to dine.
The restaurant and patio was very busy and there was not enough waiters & bussers to take care of the guests. It was very frustrating if you needed a water refill, salt, ketchup, an extra napkin ....
The cooks in the back did not cook our entrees the way we ordered - no excuse since the waitress clearly wrote how we ordered our food. The whole meal was sent back and it had to re-done which was inconvenient. We were there on a Thursday night ... it wasn't even the weekend. The tables around us had the same experience.
Food was good, nice menu. My boyfriend and I ordered steaks for dinner, both were over cooked. That was disappointing. The service was absolutely horrendous. After the waiter took our order, we never saw him again.
We have been here a few times and every time we go we are always impressed! The food is great and we love the outdoor eating area.
Server was great food was OK but for the price we paid I wanted a lot more. Espresso martini was one of the worst I ever had but the pear martini was amazing! Music was one of the best parts and the fire places / ambiance are what really made it worth while for us.
Always a great meal
Our waitress made our dinner great. Ver accommodating and so sweet. Plus the food was good too lol
Everything was good. We had lunch and it was quiet so we able to talk at a normal volume.
Service was friendly and helpful! Food was delicious!
Price fix dinner was very good value, nice choices and very tasty. Husband had risotto and scallops from regular menu and they were excellent. They had a Rose wine event which was very nice. Free wine tastings of two different Rose wines and a few gifts from purveyors. We got hats! Some people got towels or tee shirts. Also had entertainment with a jazz band. They were very good. We ate outside which was very nice.
Our only complaint was how long it took to get a glass of wine from the bar. Practically finished meal by the time glass arrived from the bar, especially with wine producers pouring samples of the Rose we ordered right next to us?
HAVE BEEN HERE SERVAL TIMES ALWAYS VERY GOOD. THIS TIME SERVICE WASNT GOOD AND FOOD WAS OK..
Typical hotel experience. Not terrible but not a great experience. Mediocre service. Nice menu but the food did not deliver on the promise of the menu. Gummy fries with the burger. Pasta plentiful but tasteless. Mediterranean appetizer platter was very good though.
This is one of our “go to” restaurants. The food is always outstanding!
I love this place and so does my date! Food is absolutely divine. The duck is my favorite.
The staff was ok. Sat outside. Food was bad. Went with a party of 6 and only 2 ate the food. Won’t be going back
Excellent as always! We had a beautiful table outside. The cheese plate was outstanding as wasabi of the food and drinks. Bistro 73 is one of our favorite restaurants.
Love this place to meet up with friends.
Service was a bit slow but friendly! Great food, great music, wonderful ambiance.
Finding a really nice restaurant in a hotel was an unexpected pleasure. The food was excellent and the fixed price menu is a very good option.
The scallops were delicious and the entertainment was delightful!
Absolutely amazing , we will be returning , the food was outstanding , service was amazing
We had a great anniversary dinner at Bistro 72. Always good food - and very good service. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a special place to eat in Riverhead.
The menu has been revamped since the last time that we have been here. It is very limited. However, what we did have was excellent. They have a Happy hour from 4-7pm Sun-Fri, well worth the drink specials. There was also a guy playing a guitar and singing. He played acoustic guitar while singing softly. You could still have a conversation while he was singing. He was very good. He sang a mix of 60s to 80s, at least while we were there. My only negatives were the new seating arrangements on the patio side. There are only a few tables left due to the very large piano and fireside chairs. 2 of the tables are just about in front of the doors to the patio. Besides the foot traffic walking within inches of the tables, you get a tremendous rush of air whenever the door is opened; which is frequent between diners and staff. Don't let them seat you in either of these tables. You will not enjoy your meal. The other negative was for some reason, our waitress had only 1 table on the patio side of the place, ours. All of her other tables were on the other side, in the more formal dining room. We almost never saw her. We had to ask other staff for refills, etc. However, overall, it is worth going there. Definitely make the reservation thru Open Table. It started to get crowded by 6:45pm.
Duck was great, stay away from the oystersrockefeller . Nice people. Will go back.
Everything was fabulous except for some reason our server disappeared for about 15 minutes after we were served our entrees. We would have liked to eat our dessert much sooner than we did.. it’s even more disturbing because the last time we were there the same thing happened . I actually had to walk through the service door and ask someone to please get our waitress..
we love the place but it’s something that really needs to be addressed. And on Both occasions the restaurant was not even slightly crowded..
Delicious menu , wonderful service . The restaurant was bright and sunny and warm and inviting .
Went for Mother's Day brunch. I liked the a la carte option rather than the usual overpriced pay one price buffet found at many places on Mother's Day. Checked in with hostess before reservation time (party of 2) and waited over 30 minutes after reservation time to actually be seated. We were not the only ones with a reservation that had such a delay. Hostess was friendly and apologetic about the wait. We were told the delay was because they were waiting on previous reservations to leave. Perhaps the restaurant should use a 1.5 hour cap as other restaurants do? Did not receive the 2nd drink I had ordered (thankfully was also not billed for it) and was not offered more coffee at all. Seemed very understaffed, as service was rather slow and hostess was also bussing tables. However, the food was delicious and the staff was friendly. I would go back but probably not on a holiday.
The place has gone downhill! Not a good experience time we have had in the past so many time when we’ve eaten there.
Had a loud band playing during service , killed any thought of conversation. Food runner did not know what seat had what so he auctioned off the food , pet peeve of mine. My food was good
Loving the hotel
The service was slow even though there were only 4 people in the restaurant. The food was cold and disappointing. It is hard to really determine how the restaurant on one visit but hope it will be better next time
You would think for restaurant week a restaurant would put its best foot forward.
Tasteless pasta primavera, “artichoke” soup.
Won’t ever go back.
Just not up to par. I would not go back.
My husband and I went here for our wedding anniversary and we had a very enjoyable experience. The service the food and the ambience were very nice.
Great place. Food was amazing. Great service.
Ordered champagne with Strawberry and basil. The server brought out blackberry champagne instead. I told them it wasn't the right drink. They went back and when they came back they stated that it was the right drink just the bartender used a blackberry as a garish. Clearly, it wasn't the right drink as it didn't taste or smell like strawberries or basil. The server was new and believed the bartender.
