Food was very good and excellent value. Outside patio was wonderful with excellent weather and scenery. Highly recommend Bistro 60.
The best thing I could suggest for this establishment to succeed is to get a good marketing person involved. In this area of La Quinta it is off the beaten path. No marketing is being done, not even in adjoining neighborhoods like Trilogy.
Using Mothers day as an example, a M. D. Brunch with free champagne would have packed the place, instead it was only a third full at best. Good cocktails well poured with a charismatic bar tender would enhance chances of success.
Would recommend, BUT only if you can sit outside on the patio which overlooks the golf course.
We find the inside dining space too crowded with tables far too close together.
The limited space and tall brocade booths are reminiscent of dining in a train's dining car.
we always enjoy the Bistro!
We eat there maybe 3 times a week.
LOVE Debby! And Noel! Well, actually all of the service is top notch!
The variety of the meals is awesome, especially cuz we eat there often.
The food is often very unique! We like that. But then we like the standbys, like the tuna melt.
Looking forward to the Market!!! Sure hope I can get my daily mocha frappecino there!!!!
A hidden gem in the neighborhood. Service is always great and food is consistently fresh and tasty. Good variety on the menu. Very reasonable prices.
They have changed their menu since the last time we were there. Use to have three course options with really great salads and desserts. Now there is a two course option, main course and dessert. For the first time ever, our service was very SLOW, and it was a Monday night and they were not crowded.
Good food, reasonably priced and great outdoor seating.
Easter Brunch. Traditional Eggs Benedict disappointing ....potatoes cold. Excellent Bloody Marys though.
It was a nice surprise with a musician playing a variety of horns. Our main course somehow got forgotten in the kitchen, but the server upon realizing it, expedited and then gave us a dessert to make up for it. We had a nice time and will come back.
The service is sometimes slow in spite of the fact that it was not very busy. In general the food amakes up for it, although it may need some new variety with the summer coming up.
Very disappointing that they changed their menu. Really miss the three course menu and the yummy desserts.
Wonderful food, beautiful location overlooking the course. Have recommended Bistro 60 to friends.
My favorite place to hang out - great food, great people and great value.
Very nice ambiance and comfortable restaurant. Lovely live music.
The new renovations are nice however we miss the old 3 course meal selections and some of the selections that were on the old menu. Regardless we will be back again. The staff are friendly and welcoming.
We enjoyed the Patio setting very much! Always return every year. Service was slow but in the end was very good!!
Always great Food & Service at Bistro 60!! All of the staff is wonderful from Ellen, Pilar to all of the Waiters & Waitresses (even if they aren't waiting on us). Carlos was our waiter & he is the BEST!!!
Service has improved, view beautiful but I ordered the fish and although it tasted good, it was a small portion. No more than 5-6 lady like bites in all. Shrimp gazpacho was great.
The patio ambiance was terrific, the food was very good and an excellent value.
We love the new bar area and the restaurant remodel!! Both patios are very spacious and clean with comfortable seating and great views.
The staff is so friendly and accommodating, also the menu changes and additions are very good with many new choices.
My wife and I came over to try the pizza and salad. We were quite surprised by the quality as well as the value. There was live music that was soft and not overpowering (flute, clarinet). I will be back and I recommend.
Our first visit to Bistro 60 was a great experience with the prime rib on a Saturday night. The second visit, a week later on a Friday night, was pretty miserable... The Friday special prime rib had run out, service was mediocre at best, and the suggestion for a replacement for the prime rib was a New York strip that was thin enough to be a breakfast steak and had over 30% fat - can’t believe they even served that steak. Additional complaints from my party about the salmon and the baby back ribs as well. Such a disappointment since we had been very impressed with our initial visit to your restaurant.
I said "yes" only because "maybe" wasn't an option. I would recommend it for breakfast and lunch, but I think the food quality at dinner has declined. And the new decor has given the room a very closed in feeling. Don't ask for the "private" dining area - it's long and narrow and like eating in a cave.
Sauces were spot on. Sea bass was a bit mushy. I wouldn't order fish again. Chicken Marsala was delicious. Terrific entertainment!
Didn’t care for change of menu options, we had sea bass , very small portions! Other members of our party were ok with their meals!
I made a reservation through Open Table. I advised the staff on the door when we arrived that we had a reservation. She seated us in the bar, we were 10 minutes early and then showed us to our table. The table was ready so making us sit in the noisy bar was annoying.
When I got home I had a telephone call from the restaurant and an email from Open Table indicating that I did not show up for the reservation. I then had to call and advise Open Table that was not the case. Very annoying to say the least and completely unnecessary.
Both my husband and I had pasta dishes and we were not impressed.
We for lunch yesterday and it was so good we went again today for lunch.
Friendly staff and great food options.
Special was steak and shrimp. Ordered medium rare, served medium well.
Sea bass was also over cooked and rice under cooked. Not worth the price of the meal.
New decor, but menu has gone downhill. And speaking of menus, they hand you a dirty , used menu to start. Miss the three course options of the past .
Service was very good.
Excellent menu !
Loved it all and I went several times😉
Good all around. First time in remodeled restaurant. Very well done
Staff all work very hard to make you feel welcome and appreciated.
Not good. Menu odd.
Prime rib night didn't disappoint.
Visiting the area on vacation...surprising excellent food since it is actually at a golf course...didn’t say that on site...service was excellent..food was amazing...will definitely recommend to friends visiting the area
Restaurant had some seating issues, we were seated at the bar, which was fine. But bartender was super busy and couldn’t check back at all. The food was good enough
Bistro 60 is inside the Over 55 community called Trilogy at the Polo Fields. There wasn't a mention to it. We went for the chicken marsala special, and it wasn't good, I equate to instant mashed potatoes, and prepared chicken, sliced made for mass-distribution. We will not return.
So disappointed with what has been one of our favorite restaurants until this year. Husband’s dinner was so salty it has to be returned. He ended up eating half of mine. Three course meal has been discontinued. Waiter seemed new and unattentive.
The remodel looks good but unable to sit outside due to private party. Bar was very noisy but restaurant was quiet.
We will be hard pressed to ever return.
We were excited to return to the remodeling, but didn’t get everything we were expecting.
Mexican dishes were a less spicy and too mild and cheesy.
We do want to return for other dishes as we really enjoy the location.
Had the Salmon. Not as great as I thought it would be. Not seasoned to be flavorful, although the orzo was great.
