We love Bistro 60 and have been coming here for years. Unfortunately there are many changes. Major change is chef is gone. Also remodeling and changing menus etc. however our biggest complaint lies with wait time of order to serving of food. We couldn’t tell if we were ignored because the kitchen is slow and the server doesn’t know what to say or the server doesn’t care. Typically, service is exceptional but unfortunately we have had poor service the last 4 times and it has been the same server. We hesitate to return and are concerned that the consistency of Bistro 60 has changed TOO much.
Service was a little spotty. No hostess on duty. A little confusion on getting everyone seat (about 12 people came in at the same time). We had 3 different servers helping, or trying to help us, and we really didn’t know who was primary. A little odd for just a couple.
This is our “go to spot” that we can count on each and every time to be a fabulous night out. We took a friend for his birthday and he loved it (3rd year now!)
Great place to eat, friendly service. Live music which was very nice, not so loud that we couldn’t have a conversation but lovely to sit back and listen. Short rib pasta excellent lots of meat and pasta that was cooked perfectly.
The chicken and the ribs were both excellent. The wedge salad was fresh and large enough to share. We like the look and the feel of the remodeled dining room. Can hardly wait for the bar to open. Hoping the wine list will improve.
This review is a complete 180 from previous. We had a reservation yet people with no reservation (3 groups) got seated before us in the main dining area. We got sent to Siberia. I stole the line from a group of three that shared the room. It is a room that is like a closet. My wife's view was of a construction ladder. The room was dimly lit for a reason. What is the point of a reservation? The service was below average compared to the week before. My wife ordered a salad and I hastily ordered just a pizza. The server must of said something to the cook that I was not happy being in Siberia because the pizza showed up like it had been overcooked on purpose.
Wonderful dinner ..the live music was excellent . The views outstanding . We love going there .
Chicken piccata was okay. Very accommodating in giving me pasta instead of mashed potatoes. My husband loved his salmon.
Daily Grill never disappoints! I love the restaurant!!
As usual, we had an enjoyable evening at Bistro 60. Our waiter Gerardo and his assistant Irving made our dining experience even better. They were friendly, efficient and willing to quickly produce the chilie flakes or anchovies. Our food was delicious. We had Caesar Salad, beef barley soup and pizza. The soup was flavorful with an amazing amount of beef. The pizza had an amazingly thin crust, just like the pizza we enjoyed I Italy. We ordered Italian sausage, mushrooms, fresh mozzarella and anchovies on the side. Yum! The Caesar Salad is always a good choice. The restaurant has a new decor which is very nice. Now that the dining room has such a classy, comfortable feel, the TV which was muted, shouldn’t even be there any more. We will be back soon!
We have gone to Bistro 60 several different times and are glad that have made improvement to the facility and changed up the menu to provide more offerings for dinner. I would highly recommend it and they continue to get better and better. Service is top notch.
Great place to meet and eat. Can wait until the new bar and outside patio are open!
We ate twice in the restaurant this week.
The restaurant is undergoing renovation and is beautiful and we look forward to the completion. The ambiance score is low because it was cold due to the construction and we had to keep our jackets on throughout the meal. The new seating is beautiful.
We love the new menu. The previous menu was a fixed menu and three courses are just too much for us. I gave a three star for this meal as we had asked for a dry burger with everything on the side and it came with onions which I cannot eat. They were pickled and in with the melted cheese and difficult to scrape off. Also, we were not asked how we liked the burger. The previous evening we had dined here the service and dinner were five stars. The second evening it was a three.
We love the location of the restaurant and the new warmth - we live in PGA West and this gives another option to Ernies and June Hills at this end of La Quinta.
Overall a very pleasant dining experience.
The Hostess greeted us warmly and stopped by our table later to see if we were happy with everything. Nice touch.
Very nice ambience, with a new look.....loved the new booths which make for an intimate dining experience.
Nice guitar music was playing during dinner and wasn’t so loud that it prevented table conversation.
Food was quite good, though one member of our party requested a baked potato in place of mashed. “Not possible”, she was told. “Sorry.”
The table service was good, but lacked the polish of the “fine” dining” experience which this spot is trying to emulate. Unfortunately it falls a little short of that goal.
The service was great. I particularly liked the soft live guitar music. All four meals were good, particularly the sea bass.
Only a few breakfast items on menu starting 12noon. Breakfast was prepared how I like it. Coffee was good. Staff is friendly.
Bistro60 provides excellent service, has a totally new look in the restaurant with comfortable booths now, and provides creative on the menus. Highly recommend it for all occasions.
The pizza aaa a bit over cooked, and the food was good except the Sea Bass was really not nice. Maybe (?) Old . We should have told them then but didn’t want to be a bother .
Enjoyed the new menu and fresh food. The ongoing renovation is nice but slow to develop and be completed. The live music is not necessary as it is too loud. Some nice piped in background music would allow diners to have a conversation they could actually hear.
Absolutely LOVED the beautiful upgrades made and was especially pleased with the food and service! The guitarist played a fine variety of wonderful songs that everyone at our table recognized, sang or hummed too, and enjoyed as it made the evening complete. We look forward to returning!!!
Food was great,as usual. The remodel looks so nice . very classy!
Long wait for food
Fantastic must attend
Amazing staff they are alway happy and smiling and checking to make sue all is good.
Great prime rib , reasonable prices , worth the drive from the thermal club
Loved the new menu Dinner was delicious. Roasted chicken and couscous was nicely prepared and the short ribs pasta was so good. A very talented musician was playing flute and saxophone. It was a wonderful dinner sitting outside with the fireplace
While sitting on the patio, every once in awhile we noticed a sewer odor. Not what you want to smell while eating. 😖
Excellent food and good service
When the renovation is completed this will be a very attractive place - something very unique for both casual and fine dining. Future looks very bright.
Two members of our party had the fish tacos for lunch. Very average. Disappointed. Others had different items that were excellent.
Our server, Debra, was also outstanding.
We have been going here for the past three years because it is close to where we live. We were THRILLED that there is a new chef and that the menu has changed from a prix fix menu to an ala carte menu. All five of the diners in our group rated their meals delicious! The prime rib special was excellent - a large piece of beef - rare as we requested. Service has always been good and we appreciate how hard the staff works to ensure a pleasant evening. The only downsize were the plastic outside seating and tables. I dont know if they are permenant but the chairs were not comfortable and the table wobbly. For what the meal costs - I would expect better seating. However, they are in transition with a new addition so this might be temporary. (I hope so)
The new chef and menu are a very nice change and the food tasted so far has been excellent. The atmosphere could be improved without the live music. It would be better if they piped in dinner music. That way people can still have, and hear, a private conversation with low pleasant music playing in the background. Perhaps they can have the live music on a certain night or nights. So many restaurants nowadays think you need to have loud music for a particular ambiance. Actually, it's just the opposite.
Did not care for the plastic tables and chairs outside. For the price, they can do better.
I would certainly like to recommend It but guys you need to get it completed ... this has been dragging on for so long and so many people are turned off by the on going slow completion...
The food we had was very good and the service was very good. But probably won’t be back until it is fullly completed and up running. Hopefully that will be pretty soon...
Very disappointing cheeseburger ! There food used to be so much better. My husband got the steak sandwich and was all bread in a thin strip steak. They just updated their menu but the menu choices or disappointed. I need to bring back the menu from about six years ago when they have delicious scallops and wonderful vegetables including gooseberry. The restaurant needs to be finished. They have been working on it way too long.
Wish I had known about limited menu and temporary menu until November.
Dinners were good and the outside seating was great.
Have been to their happy hour in the past and they are great
Hope menu goes back to what is shown on computer after construction is completed.
The new menu was wonderful and the food was great and the service was The Best
We were very disappointed. We've eaten there many times, but this time they changed the menu and the food was not as good, and the price/value equation is not nearly what it was. They used to include a salad and dessert with your entree. No more.
The view and outside weather were perfect! We are spoiled, however, as the menu changed and didn't offer what we have come to expect from the past-in fact the dinner items were very few. Our orders were served on what appeared to be plastic so its apparent our special place is turning into a sports bar! Some of the same professional wait staff were there and I hope they stay. It will no longer be our favorite dinner spot, but our go to spot for a sandwich and peaceful view.
Went with my husband and Mother, who lives at Trilogy, to try out the new menu and was very pleased. Everyone greatly enjoyed their meal. The new menu offers a lot of interesting selections and I was more than satisfied with the Loco Moco I decided to try, ground beef with egg and mushroom sauce, topped with greens - a very tasty and unique dish! I also tried the pizza which was delicious and is accompanied by your choice of a very nice sized B60 or Caesar salad. We were all very happy with this new menu and will certainly be going back!
