I made a reservation through Open Table. I advised the staff on the door when we arrived that we had a reservation. She seated us in the bar, we were 10 minutes early and then showed us to our table. The table was ready so making us sit in the noisy bar was annoying.
When I got home I had a telephone call from the restaurant and an email from Open Table indicating that I did not show up for the reservation. I then had to call and advise Open Table that was not the case. Very annoying to say the least and completely unnecessary.
Both my husband and I had pasta dishes and we were not impressed.
We for lunch yesterday and it was so good we went again today for lunch.
Friendly staff and great food options.
Special was steak and shrimp. Ordered medium rare, served medium well.
Sea bass was also over cooked and rice under cooked. Not worth the price of the meal.
New decor, but menu has gone downhill. And speaking of menus, they hand you a dirty , used menu to start. Miss the three course options of the past .
Service was very good.
Excellent menu !
Loved it all and I went several times😉
Good all around. First time in remodeled restaurant. Very well done
Staff all work very hard to make you feel welcome and appreciated.
Not good. Menu odd.
Prime rib night didn't disappoint.
Visiting the area on vacation...surprising excellent food since it is actually at a golf course...didn’t say that on site...service was excellent..food was amazing...will definitely recommend to friends visiting the area
Restaurant had some seating issues, we were seated at the bar, which was fine. But bartender was super busy and couldn’t check back at all. The food was good enough
Bistro 60 is inside the Over 55 community called Trilogy at the Polo Fields. There wasn't a mention to it. We went for the chicken marsala special, and it wasn't good, I equate to instant mashed potatoes, and prepared chicken, sliced made for mass-distribution. We will not return.
So disappointed with what has been one of our favorite restaurants until this year. Husband’s dinner was so salty it has to be returned. He ended up eating half of mine. Three course meal has been discontinued. Waiter seemed new and unattentive.
The remodel looks good but unable to sit outside due to private party. Bar was very noisy but restaurant was quiet.
We will be hard pressed to ever return.
We were excited to return to the remodeling, but didn’t get everything we were expecting.
Mexican dishes were a less spicy and too mild and cheesy.
We do want to return for other dishes as we really enjoy the location.
Had the Salmon. Not as great as I thought it would be. Not seasoned to be flavorful, although the orzo was great.
Good wholesome and not fancy entrees well prepared and served by friendly staff. Outstanding home made cookie freshly baked in an iron skillet with ice cream and chocolate sauce. Yummy
We have not yet been disappointed. Food was good and the music was just right and relaxing.
Just so so. Server very rushed, too many tables. Couldn’t give normal service. Some meals good, others not so good. Out of their special by 6:15. Very nice remodel.
Nice decor since the remodel but the food is sort of plain . Price is right but you get what you pay for .
Because of dietary restrictions, we wanted to modify the menu items slightly with substitutions, and our first waiter struggled with knowing if he could do that or not. He was inclined not to. Kudos to our second waiter for recommending an idea that saved us a lot of money. He was great! Food was a little better than average, but not great.
Good job with remodel. Look forward to deli and plans for entertainment nights.
We love Bistro 60 and have been coming here for years. Unfortunately there are many changes. Major change is chef is gone. Also remodeling and changing menus etc. however our biggest complaint lies with wait time of order to serving of food. We couldn’t tell if we were ignored because the kitchen is slow and the server doesn’t know what to say or the server doesn’t care. Typically, service is exceptional but unfortunately we have had poor service the last 4 times and it has been the same server. We hesitate to return and are concerned that the consistency of Bistro 60 has changed TOO much.
Service was a little spotty. No hostess on duty. A little confusion on getting everyone seat (about 12 people came in at the same time). We had 3 different servers helping, or trying to help us, and we really didn’t know who was primary. A little odd for just a couple.
This is our “go to spot” that we can count on each and every time to be a fabulous night out. We took a friend for his birthday and he loved it (3rd year now!)
Great place to eat, friendly service. Live music which was very nice, not so loud that we couldn’t have a conversation but lovely to sit back and listen. Short rib pasta excellent lots of meat and pasta that was cooked perfectly.
The chicken and the ribs were both excellent. The wedge salad was fresh and large enough to share. We like the look and the feel of the remodeled dining room. Can hardly wait for the bar to open. Hoping the wine list will improve.
This review is a complete 180 from previous. We had a reservation yet people with no reservation (3 groups) got seated before us in the main dining area. We got sent to Siberia. I stole the line from a group of three that shared the room. It is a room that is like a closet. My wife's view was of a construction ladder. The room was dimly lit for a reason. What is the point of a reservation? The service was below average compared to the week before. My wife ordered a salad and I hastily ordered just a pizza. The server must of said something to the cook that I was not happy being in Siberia because the pizza showed up like it had been overcooked on purpose.
Wonderful dinner ..the live music was excellent . The views outstanding . We love going there .
Chicken piccata was okay. Very accommodating in giving me pasta instead of mashed potatoes. My husband loved his salmon.
Daily Grill never disappoints! I love the restaurant!!
As usual, we had an enjoyable evening at Bistro 60. Our waiter Gerardo and his assistant Irving made our dining experience even better. They were friendly, efficient and willing to quickly produce the chilie flakes or anchovies. Our food was delicious. We had Caesar Salad, beef barley soup and pizza. The soup was flavorful with an amazing amount of beef. The pizza had an amazingly thin crust, just like the pizza we enjoyed I Italy. We ordered Italian sausage, mushrooms, fresh mozzarella and anchovies on the side. Yum! The Caesar Salad is always a good choice. The restaurant has a new decor which is very nice. Now that the dining room has such a classy, comfortable feel, the TV which was muted, shouldn’t even be there any more. We will be back soon!
We have gone to Bistro 60 several different times and are glad that have made improvement to the facility and changed up the menu to provide more offerings for dinner. I would highly recommend it and they continue to get better and better. Service is top notch.
Great place to meet and eat. Can wait until the new bar and outside patio are open!
We ate twice in the restaurant this week.
The restaurant is undergoing renovation and is beautiful and we look forward to the completion. The ambiance score is low because it was cold due to the construction and we had to keep our jackets on throughout the meal. The new seating is beautiful.
We love the new menu. The previous menu was a fixed menu and three courses are just too much for us. I gave a three star for this meal as we had asked for a dry burger with everything on the side and it came with onions which I cannot eat. They were pickled and in with the melted cheese and difficult to scrape off. Also, we were not asked how we liked the burger. The previous evening we had dined here the service and dinner were five stars. The second evening it was a three.
We love the location of the restaurant and the new warmth - we live in PGA West and this gives another option to Ernies and June Hills at this end of La Quinta.
Overall a very pleasant dining experience.
The Hostess greeted us warmly and stopped by our table later to see if we were happy with everything. Nice touch.
Very nice ambience, with a new look.....loved the new booths which make for an intimate dining experience.
Nice guitar music was playing during dinner and wasn’t so loud that it prevented table conversation.
Food was quite good, though one member of our party requested a baked potato in place of mashed. “Not possible”, she was told. “Sorry.”
The table service was good, but lacked the polish of the “fine” dining” experience which this spot is trying to emulate. Unfortunately it falls a little short of that goal.
The service was great. I particularly liked the soft live guitar music. All four meals were good, particularly the sea bass.
Only a few breakfast items on menu starting 12noon. Breakfast was prepared how I like it. Coffee was good. Staff is friendly.
Bistro60 provides excellent service, has a totally new look in the restaurant with comfortable booths now, and provides creative on the menus. Highly recommend it for all occasions.
The pizza aaa a bit over cooked, and the food was good except the Sea Bass was really not nice. Maybe (?) Old . We should have told them then but didn’t want to be a bother .
